I highly recommend the Iced Milk Drink w/ Pudding and Honey Boba which is their most popular drink! Any of the flavored teas or top 10 drinks are also a great choice. If you plan on getting toppings, I recommend sticking with the regular size drink. The amount of topping they give you isn't quite proportional to the size of the super. We didn't have to wait too long for our drinks and the shop added some fun claw machines. The interior is quite small and there aren't really any tables to sit at. I got the Iced Milk with Coffee with boba and it was just okay. There wasn't enough ice in it. The server was nice and explained that they're known for their iced milk. The drink looked cool "half and half", but I didn't notice anything special about the taste. The ambiance is cool with retro 70s/80s decor. The layout is kind of confusing as there are two entrances, one in the front and one in the back. It took a second to figure out where the menu was and where to order. The Taro Milk Tea is usually my go-to, but I ordered the Rose Milk Tea with Boba ($6.56) as they were out of Taro drinks. Free upgrade is now Monday through Friday, which is probably the only incentive to get me to go there. I feel they nickel and dime their customers. They charge $0.11 for a bag (I purchased 3 large drinks), but they don't tell that to all their customers. My son goes there often and didn't know they charge you for bags and he usually orders 3-6 drinks. There are SO many different signs that you have to read (they charge an additional 3.5% if you use a credit card). The sign that surprised me the most was at the base of the register, slightly covered by a tinsel garland. So if I want LESS ice than what they normally add, then it's actually MORE! I asked the guy who works there how much they normally add and he said "half." Now, I have to make sure I say "less less" ice if I truly want less ice than normal. Oh, and if I ask for no ice, you get charged $1 more for your drink (there's a different sign for that). They use the lowest grade matcha possible--bitter, dull, and completely wrong for a proper matcha drink--yet charge $7 for it, plus an extra 3% credit card fee. When I pointed out the poor quality, the staff acted like I was crazy instead of handling it professionally. They don't offer refunds, only a one-time replacement, and even then, they charged me extra to remake the drink. This kind of matcha might be passable in baked goods, but it has no business being used in a drink. I left with $7 in the trash can and full of regret. I first tried Half & Half Tea about 6 years ago because they were one of the few boba places that actually had Wintermelon Tea. Ever since I lived in Taiwan, that's been my go to boba drink. I like that they have an extensive menu with caffeine free options (not that I really deviate from my usuals anyway, lol.) But they have anything and everything. I don't usually get pearls at most tea shops because 80% I don't enjoy it and feels like it's getting in the way of the drink. I ordered the strawberry iced milk with pudding and boba and they had their fall deal going on (free upgrade and free topping that isn't boba) so I added basil seeds. My mom also got a yogurt drink. Maybe my unconscious was keeping me from visiting drinks because it really felt like I spent $14 on ice water. I did ask for 75% sweetness, but my mom's drink was 100% and it was even worse. I got milk tea with boba and egg pudding at 75% sweetness and 50% ice, and I don't have any complaints. :) There was also pretty much no line at around 1pm on a Sunday, and parking is usually pretty easy here. Their boba is on the chewier side, which works well for those who prefer that, but might not be soft enough for others. Flavor is solid though! Egg pudding is soft, tastes right, and did the trick for me. :) Milk tea is exactly as I'd expect it to be, so no issues here, either! I was a little overwhelmed by the huge menu of options, but might want to try out their taro pudding in my drink next time.
