The hot pot was alright but didnt have many options for meat The broths did not have any flavor and i ended up dousing everything in the wasabi peanut sauce. Easily in my top 5 worst dining experiences of all time. I have no idea if the food was any good because I never got it. Took our summer intern out for lunch on her last week. We allotted 2 hours for the experience. We waited 45 minutes for anyone to take our order. This is despite walking up to the waitress asking if someone could do so. After another 15 minutes we got some small starters. a half hour later the food started coming out I thought "Finally!" until...my order didn't come out. The waitress explained to me that she must have forgotten my order. At this point I asked for her to just settle up for the food that was brought out and I would eat lunch elsewhere. You might think I must have been a jerk or something and that's why we were treated this way. No. I have never been here before and I literally had maybe 15 seconds of actual conversing with the staff other than ordering. I hope the food is good. I hope you have a different experience than I did but I can never go back here. read more

It was our first time coming to this restaurant my mother food came cold and she politely told the lady that she didn't want it any more our waitress got mad and was raising her voice at my mother and showed complete disrespect. Snatched our card off the table as we were trying to pay. The manager did nothing very poor service do not recommend eating here. At the waitress' suggestion I had the BBQ rib eye with garlic and jalapenos. It was pretty damn good, and the Korean BBQ paste was a nice addition to the flavor. The soup was also good, and I dug the tofu and the spiciness. Korean BBQ may be my favorite kind of food, and Hancook does it well. read more

I was so happy to go there before they shut down outdoor dining. I had my christmas and new years eve dinner with my mom in the tent space outdoors. The hot pot was great. This might be my favorite Korean spot in the area. I loved the happy hour options and the banchan (side dishes) was delicious with traditional flavors with some lighter flavors for those with sensitive palates. We started with the sausage and rice cake skewers and steamed dumplings. I'd go back for the rice skewers while the steamed dumplings are something to share in a group setting. Our main was the short ribs Hansang(?) - a combination of a bbq meat, soup, and a small but well fitting collection of vegetables. Our kimchi soup had a generous amount of pork and our short ribs were cooked just right. I'm glad to have found this place and will try more things in the future. read more

The japchae was really good. I could really taste the sesame oil and the beefy flavor. A must try for those who have just came here. You should order if you have never tried this before. We brought the birthday cake there, but need to pay for the forks and plates ($1 for two peoples). After complain they said will charge $5 for all peoples. Finally talk with the manager they don't charge, but she said don't have enought forks and planes to us. We just went to walgreens to bought the forks and plates. Food was good but customer service was very poor. My husband and I did all you can eat and drink for dinner and it took so long just for our next order to come. Our broth was evaporating to very low levels just waiting for our 2nd round of meat. At one point we didn't want to wait too long for more sake that my husband ordered 2 at one time and the waitress said she had to see if we were there for the 2 hours to see if it was ok. First off we should be able to order 2 because we paid for 2 all you can drink and #2 we weren't there for 2 hours but it did feel like 2 hours just waiting for food. We love hot pot, but our first experience here wasn't so great so I'm not sure if we'll be back. If you're going to offer all you can eat, then the restaurant should be ready for patrons who want to take advantage and get their hard earned moneys worth. We paid $117 total with tip so I think we should have been served fairly. I don't know if short staffing is the issue here, but it seems they had adequate coverage, so if slowing service for all you can eat is their business strategy I would not spend any money here. The price for all you can eat is not cheap. Also, staff need to be trained on customer service friendliness and attitude. read more

TLDR: hot pot and mul naengmyun are good but not the teriyaki brisket rice The mul naengmyun was really refreshing (make sure to add plenty of vinegar!!!) The pear was a nice touch too. The hot pot for 2 was enormous and super filling! Especially with the fried rice! Some pieces of beef were a bit too fatty and the broth was really oily but still delicious. The teriyaki brisket rice was too salty and the teriyaki sauce tasted off. Wouldn't recommend. read more

This is my third visit. I was extremely unsatisfied with the service level past two visits but gave another shot hoping that they have improved overtime. Food is decent but the place is always understaffed, slow, unfriendly and has low quality service level. Every empty table has dirty plates from previous customers. They clean the table only if they are forced to when they don't have any clean table to seat a new customer. I blame the owner not the staff for it because they all result from understaffing & lack of training. It is so bad that I feel embarrassed to see other customers' unsatisfied face. Whoever the owner is, please hire more people and train them. If you don't, you might as well as run it as a self service food court. read more

I have never used yelp in my life before, and I only signed up to leave a review here. I hope that means something to whoever reads this. Read the reviews, was very excited to try it out. We had AYCE KBBQ the day before, and was really looking forward to AYCE HOTPOT. When we walked in, it was mostly empty although it was around dinner time. We were concerned at first but still decided to go for All You Can Eat. The thing is, instead of All You Can Eat, it should be called ALL YOU CAN WAIT. The food tasted fine, but whenever we ordered something, it took at least 20~30 minutes to come. They also gave us a 2 hour limit but to get a plate of a few pieces of briskets, we had to sit there for a long time. If you come with more than 4 people, you are literally getting like a piece of brisket per person. I think about ten plates of briskets here would barely match one plate of briskets you'd get at a KBBQ. That's how small the portions are and since they take so long to bring them to you, you are just drinking the soup while waiting. They basically stall until you get full from eating other stuff. Furthermore, towards the end, the waiters literally ignore you and don't even ask if you'd like to order more. All of my friends were disappointed and it got even worse when we got the check because they charged us for a 27% service charge. 27% service fee when we cooked everything ourselves + they brought out half of the orders we asked for. We felt bad so we still ended up tipping. Basically paid 145% of the original price and was not even close to worth it. If you are just trying to get a meal here it's a great place. But for an AYCE, it's not even close to worth it and I felt terrible for my friends for bringing them there. read more

Hancook is a good option for your Korean cravings. We found this restaurant through Yelp and decided to check it out on a chilly Friday night. We arrived a little late around 8:45pm and there were plenty of seats available. We ordered the hot pot for 2 and it was a pretty good deal (especially with their Yelp deal). There was a ton of food in it and my husband, who's a huge meat lover, was impressed by the amount of meat in the pot. The servers always made sure our waters and banchan dishes were filled, which we appreciated. We finished off our meal with the oreo bingsoo. It was HUGE and delicious.
