Wait was reasonable for a party of 3 on a Saturday morning/afternoon. Ross was our server. He was friendly and personable. Overall it was ok. I'd still tell people to try it out even tho we don't feel like we have to return. I wouldn't have anything to say really had we not interacted with the manager. He was... something. We ordered the carafe of mimosas. Ross said we could get the champagne and juice separately to be able to mix to our desired strength. He brought us our juice in larger glasses with the champagne in the carafe. Upon immediate pour of the champagne you could tell it was flat. The manager seemed extremely annoyed by us bringing this to their attention. He did offer to remove the $25 item but did so with the nastiest attitude. We indicated for him to take the champagne from the table because we weren't "complaining" to get something free. He removed the 3 glasses and carafe and slammed them on the bar across from us. It would be self centered to assume everything he did after that was about us but whenever we looked around the room or Ross would be at our table the manager would roll his eyes or storm off. It's not a big place and we were seated in the booths near the kitchen. We asked Ross if we should just leave as it seemed to be an issue. Ross ensured that we should stay and all was fine. Ross was great actually. He went out of his way to ensure we had a good experience and even thanked us for what he described as a calm and balanced disposition despite the situation. We ensured to tip him well, and in cash. Upon review of the bill, the manager made sure to take a dig at us with his note on the removal of the mimosa which was unnecessary. Pic attached. Overall... It was such a nice day and we asked to sit outside. They told us to sit at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready so we ordered a mimosa. Other people were getting seated outside so after about a half hour we went back to the host stand and asked if a table had opened up. Come to find out the hostess never wrote our name down for the list. Another 10 minutes later and we were finally sat, and we were starving. We ordered the sausage skillet with no cheese and the chicken and waffles. Our meal came out incorrect so we had to wait for a new skillet to be brought out. Recently, a girlfriend came in into town and we decided to go out for brunch. I don't know if the sewer was backed up or there was a sewage problem, but the restaurant smelled so horrible that we could not even order. We sat there for five minutes and had to leave. We were a party of 3 and stood at the host podium for 20min without a single staff member greet us or even glance our way. The line was building and no one tended to it at all. We could see several tables completely open and available. Its one thing if an establishment is busy and staff are running around trying to keep up. We arrived and were seated immediately at a small stainless steel table. After our water was served, we noticed a booth was becoming available. We got there after the breakfast rush so there was no problem getting a seat and we did not have to wait. And who knew that there was a happy hour at breakfast time but yes we hit it, it is from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. so I ordered a Bloody Mary along with my breakfast. I ordered the CBH with basted eggs and whole wheat toast. My friend that was with me ordered the same. I really like the ambience of the place and we had no trouble parking on the street. Our waitress did a good job waiting on us and got us everything that we needed. I have not had corned beef hash in a while and was really looking forward to it and this dish did not disappoint me. Nice chunks of corned beef and potato and a runny egg. My girlfriend did not fare as well as her eggs were not runny and her toast (and mine) was not really toasted. The waitress took care of it though and they remade her eggs and her toast. The Bloody Mary was good. This place will deserve another visit when I am in town for breakfast again. read more

They definitely were trying to over seat people and allowed way too many people to pool in the lobby. Hey this place is great! Who doesn't love brunch? This is a blink-and-you'll-miss it spot in Clifton right across from University of Cincinnati. But when you enter is has such a cool retro vibe and a super neat comic book ceiling on the right side of the restaurant and the left side has an old timey yet modern breakfast bar and large roomy booth seating. At my last visit i had ordered their Chicken N' Chorizo Skillet which featured, chicken, chorizo, green peppers, onions, tomato, eggs any style, and queso cheese and served atop of home fried potatoes and sourdough toast. It was super delicious. I think i wished i had a bit more the queso sauce which was the glue of greatness on this plate but i ate it too quickly to ask the waitress for more. I also tried their French Toast which was light and fluffy and pillowy when it entered my mouth which is key! I find that most times when i order French Toast that the edges are hard and chewy so i was very happy that this wasn't the case here. I will say this place just STAYS busy so if you go, expect to wait to be seated and expect to wait to eat. However, that being said, i believe good things come to those who wait. My niece chose for us to go here for her 21st birthday brunch. There were 4 of us and we shared a pitcher of orange mimosa. It was great. The food was amazing, and the menu names are hilarious. I cracked the whole table up when I said "I'll do the dirty." The dirty is the breakfast burrito. I don't remember what all was in it but whatever it was, plus the avacado I added... was perfection. I know it has chorizo, "hoe fries," queso, and Pico de Gallo. One of my sisters had the same as me and she also loved it. Another of my sisters had the breakfast tacos. I don't remember what my niece had but they both loved their choices. Apart from the food, the server was friendly and attentive. There were a lot of people but we also didn't have to wait to be seated. My niece made an excellent choice to come here. I am so glad I tried it. My mom and I stopped in for a late brunch on a weekday and enjoyed great service even though it was very close to closing time. I had read good reviews about this place and wanted to take my wife here for a surprise brunch. The surprise was on me, and not in a good way. My wife and I arrived on a busy Saturday morning after finding a parking spot. The hostesses were friendly, took our name and let us know it would be a 30-45 minute wait. This would not be a problem, except, people who arrived after us were receiving their food. When our food arrived, there were a few more problems. My burrito was ice cold, as though it had been sitting on the counter for several minutes. My wife's eggs (scrambled) were scorched, and her sausage was just barely done. The only thing on her plate she liked were the fries that came with the meal. I told our server my burrito was ice cold and he offered to have it remade. I agreed and thought everything was fine...until he stormed back with a refill, slammed it on our table and stormed away. I tried to think nothing of it, until my new burrito came. The server shoved the plate into my elbow, with force, said, "Here is your burrito." and stormed away again. I will say this time, the burrito was hot, and flavorless. However, the only thing I wanted to do was finish my food and leave. We left the restaurant and the hostess who had greeted us, totally ignored us because she was talking on her phone. I really wanted to like this place, but I was highly disappointed. The food is bland and thrown together, the service is terrible and I didn't feel as though they cared. Hang Over Easy is truly a place for a college crowd, not for those who are accustomed to friendly service or good food. Stopped in after dropping my dog off for the "big chop". They have a pay-to-park parking lot across the street so there is parking in addition to street parking. We were seated immediately and the service was fantastic. Our server was very attentive and fast which was much appreciated. I ordered the hoe benny and my partner got hoe fries with chorizo and cheese on top. I appreciated that all the fruit was fresh and not icky since sometimes that is not the case with fruit bowls. The hoe benny itself was okay, I would probably try their donut breakfast sandwich if I were to come here again, but I did eat it all. They also had a lot of interesting coffee and alcoholic brunch drinks that looked tasty, but we did not try any during this visit.
