This is some of best sushi in safety harbor, Fl. Small , Intimate and freshly made. I would definitely recommend this gem of a place. Everything I have had has been incredible! Great service

The sushi is always fresh and tasty here! I love meeting my friend for a girls night out here because it's not a quick sushi place... it's takes some time to get your food so it gives you the chance to chat and fully enjoy the experience. They are always very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is quaint and fun- lots of pictures and things to look at that are funny and interesting. I love coming here!

Best sushi place in pinellas county. Quality of the rolls, taste of the rolls, and the presentation all of it is phenomenal. Every time I go, I crave it even more! Worth every penny and worth the visit

We came here after I had read a fellow Elite review and we just did not have the same experience. Could be what we ordered, the sushi chef that day, our personal tastes, I don't know but it just wasn't what I was expecting. The place is small, which is just fine with 4 booths, 3 tables and 3 bar seats. Service was attentive to us, making sure we had everything we needed but our sushi was just bland. It was seriously the most flavorless sushi we either have had. I don't know what else to say about it honestly. With all the sushi options in Tampa Bay, we won't be back. The 3rd star is for the service.

This is a small place and we were lucky to get a table upon walking in. Fantastic service, fantastic sushi. I think this is my new local spot. I enjoyed the music and atmosphere and the interior lighting was perfect! Sushi does take a bit to prepare, since a lot of others order several rolls and there's only one sushi station for the chef. They try to tell you that upon ordering too. I loved that.

This place is amazing! The menu is great, which has pictures of every sushi roll in the menu. With details about the inside and outside of the roll. It is very helpful when trying to decide. The sushi rolls are delicious. My food came out in a timely manner and the staff were very friendly and seemed so happy and welcoming. Everyone should try the Happy Salmon!

BEST SUSHI EVER! Me and my boyfriend adore Tony!! The place is very nice and clean. The food is so so fresh with amazing prices. Depending on the day there might be a little wait but it is WORTH IT! Love it here!

Blink and you can miss this gem! I would personally like to thank the staff for making us feel so welcome! They really go out of their way with the details here. I felt as if they had asked me themselves to enter their establishment. The ambiance is cool and enthralling while the food definetly follows up well. Everything we tried was good. If you are feeling particularly adventurous ask them for the blowfish sake. Takes some time to make and it comes tall but believe me it's an experience you will not forget. Hats off to you fine folks!

Living in Safety Harbor we have many restaurants to choose from, our goto place, our number one favorite is Happy Salmon. Always fresh and delicious.

We decided to eat sushi instead of Mexican on our last night at Safety Harbor. Happy salmon had great reviews and within walking distance. We got here on a Saturday night around 5:30 and waited half hour to be seated. The place is very small. Seats maybe 20-30 people total. So if you are in a hurry don't come here and trash them because of the wait. If you want great sushi then be ready to wait. We ordered the octopus appetizer. Small but out of this world! We ordered the following rolls: Spicy lobster Oh baby roll Super dragon Hollow scream roll Caterpillar roll Fantastic. Flavors, quality and presentation where all there!! We waited about 45 minutes for our rolls but we enjoyed talking, looking at pictures and texting our son. I don't fault such a small business for having a delay in bringing out food. Im On vacation so I'm not in a hurry!!! Thanks Tony and staff for a wonderful dinner, great ambiance and 60s background music. We will be back in March and making this one of our stops. Wish I could give higher than 5 star.

As Ms Allison takes my order, I hear folks around me chatting about how they faired with Hurricane Milton. Sad stories of damage and destruction but the drinks poured and laughter and smiles filled the air. Not often do you run into a neighborhood feel Sushi joint. The food.... Oh yeah! Ordered the ginger salad.. then had Miso soup, both very flavorful and freshly made. Then came the California rolls and the house specialty roll, the Allison. I usually have leftovers but this was so good, ate it all and of course feel like a Cajun stuffed Flounder. Satisfied indeed! Remember to support your local grubbers so we both don't starve....

Very hip and trendy spot with interesting takes on the traditional sushi roll. Favorite specialty rolls include the Caterpiller (Eel, cream cheese, cucumber, asparagus, avocado, eel sauce and spicy mayo), Kamakaze (Spicy krab stick, avocado, cucumber, masago and crispy fish). The classic roll that we tried and loved was the Tampa roll (Crispy fish, avocado, cucumber and scallions topped w/ spicy mayo), delish! Can you tell that I'm from California with my love for avocados?! I would recommend this sushi place to anyone that has a love for tasty, scrumptious, and interesting sushi rolls. Relatively well priced, and small enough menu to not overwhelm you.

We just wanted to post this review so that people know before they drive across town to eat there. So here it is, the answer to you question "doesn't he know all restaurants do that?" No, they don't. There's an important distinction between "closing time" and "last seating," and yes, different restaurants do it differently. IMHO, there's a right way and a wrong way. If a restaurant publishes 3:00 PM as its closing time, the ordinary customer interpretation is that you can walk in at 2:48 and be served. For many, quality restaurants, who care about their hangry customers, what they do is seat people up until the posted closing time, and the doors stop admitting new customers. People already inside finish their meals. The staff then does closing work after the last customers leave. So if the restaurant wants the dining room empty and employees effectively finished by 3:00, it really ought to advertise an earlier closing time.

I probably shouldn't have gone, rogue, but I've now tried other rolls, and this is what I think…read more I got salmon sashimi and squid sashimi, if I get the fresh salmon roll, the salmon sashimi might be a bit duplicative. The squid sashimi was delicious, this is a must get for me. I got two servings of tobiko sushi, red, because I thought my older son would want some. This time he didn't, so next time I should get one serving of tobiko sushi and one serving of just tobiko sashimi as always I got a Saba sushi for my dad. The rolls are where I really faultered this time. I got the fresh salmon roll, which I always love so that's a good choice. My younger son actually kept eating the rice from that roll so I got salmon sashimi through that. I ordered the super protein because I didn't think it had rice in it, when it says it has rice paper, it means rice paper instead of seaweed. I felt like there was too much mayo, because I ended up ordering three rolls with mayo inadvertently . So next time, definitely do not get the Tokyo tower, the super protein, and the screaming orgasm at the same time. I got the screaming, because it said there was no rice, but there definitely was rice. I'm not sure if the menu was wrong or if they made it incorrectly, but it also had a lot of mayo so I wouldn't get the screaming again. The Tokyo Tower also had a lot of mayo. I liked the super protein the best out of the three, so if I decide, I do want one roll with mayo, I would go with the super protein. However, if this is future me reading this, I should go back to my standard order, which is detailed in my last review. My husband likes the wonton soup, so we always get him that as well. Overall, I still like the sushi here, we ordered all of the above and had about a roll left over. So if I'm looking to order just enough for one dinner, I should stick with three rolls not four. They quoted us at 30 to 35 minutes but they ended up taking about 45 minutes.
