Fantastic place! The sushi was so fresh and tasty. The two men working today 12/9 around 1-2pm were soooo kind! They were all smiles, great service, and when I asked for a to-go box, they gave me extra goodies to go ...the sweet man making the sushi asked if I wanted free ice cream (they didn't even know it was my birthday) so I felt like that was a perfect little treat. The server was so attentive, constantly checking on us and bringing the food out quickly. We tried the sashimi/sushi combos, spanish roll, vegas roll, volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, California roll, a baked salmon roll, beef and chicken teriyaki with side salads and miso soups. Great sushi spot. Very fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. I loved everything I tried and the Spanish roll was my fave. Looking forward to trying other rolls. Went in to retrieve my order, proceeded towards the normal entrance way , was Quickly STOPPED by Server named "Scott" or at least that's what he said his name was (He was a Dark haired Hispanic guy) He Stood boldly in front of me and made sure I didn't move further into the establishment! As a have done previously before, even during the reopening of Covid season! Conversation: Me: Hi! I am here to pick up a call in order for (?) Scott: Oh, your order is not ready yet! It will be about 8 more minutes! So can you come back in a little while? Me: Come back??? It's dark outside...Why can't I have a seat, over where I have been seated before? [I motion to the corner where the same two empty tables are with the menu taped on the table used for takeout ]......Mind you.... They close at 9:00pm...it's 8:42! Scott: No... I am SORRY YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT OUTSIDE! Me: WAIT what?,Why can't I sit inside at the counter at least, while I wait for my to be made? Scott: BECAUSE THATS FOR OUR PAYING CUSTOMERS! ME:??? ..SIR??? I am a paying customer! Scott: AGAIN...I am gonna have to ask you to go outside! Blah Blah BLAH! Me: Sir why are you being difficult and rude? I am still a customer! Matter of fact??? Can you go check on my food because you have been standing here arguing with me for at least 7 mins! Scott walks away and check on food! I continue to stand by the door! About three minutes later... the Chef gave me a friendly acknowledgment smile! I smiled back. Because my experience has always been pretty pleasant here! The Chef asked Scott what I was waiting for? Scott murmured something! And continued waiting on other customers! The Chef then summoned and invited me to have a SEAT IN THE CORNER where I normally would be seated as he prepared my food! 4 minutes later Scott brings over my food! I reached for the bag with one hand and money to pay in the other! Scott pulled back on the bag in distrust! I asked for the total paid! And left! They have some very yummy Sushi! I never experienced anything as upsetting here until tonight! Equality in customer service is still very important to me! We don't deserve to get treated poorly because of our skin color! Our money and debit cards spends the same! I am so sick of being mistreated! It is hurtful and sad! I am just wonder if it were his people a 50 year old elder? Would he have treated her the same???
