Busy place for lunch. It seems a bit pricey even by Seattle standards. My Spicy Chicken Teriyaki was $9+ after tax. It was above average, and I would say is a great alternative to fast food in Aberdeen. It was a large but not huge meal for one person. The chicken was nicely charred, the sauce was good, and the spice just about right. It was busy and it took about 10-15 minutes to get my food after I ordered. If you are on the road and in a hurry I recommend ordering ahead. It gets 4 stars instead of 3 simply because it is one of the best options in the area. read more

It wasn't great for how much I paid. The girl working was rude to me at the counter and when I got home and tried my food I was bummed. Portions were great and had the food tasted good I would of been excited but nothing was really good. My noodles were really bland, they tasted like nothing and my gyoza were hard. We ordered our food 3 simple orderes and sat there for 30 minutes plus waiting for our food when they said it would only be 20 minutes when it was closer to 40 didn't get one appolgy for it nothing didnt even get a warning saying it was gonna be longer. This used to be my favorite place to eat. Tonight however I called in my order I said garlic chicken because I couldn't remember what it was called. The gentleman taking my order asked if I meant the breaded one I said yes breaded. I went to pick up my order and he read it back saying honey garlic chicken. Which is what I wanted when I got home and opened my order it was not the breaded honey garlic chicken. It was another kind of chicken with celery and mushrooms in it. When I called to ask about it the gentleman on the phone was rude about it and said I ordered the wrong thing and also said when I called it in that he said not the breaded one. I will not be going back after this due to the rudeness had he said there was a misunderstanding it would have been different. Now I must go make a sandwich for dinner since I cant eat what I paid for because allergic to mushrooms...also there was a hair in my daughters beef bowl. I was here from out of town. This is honestly some of the best take out I have ever had!!! So good I came back row days in a row!! The egg rolls are amazing. This is a busy place and I can see why. Very good menu selection, great portion sizes, very clean buisness including bathrooms. seems to be full everytime i visit at lunchtime. also can be a little slow on service but i dont mind when you gett quality food. If i had anything negative to say -well, its about $2 to high all across the board on all items except the side items and then 50%...IE=i dont like to pay $2.50 for a side of rice it seems that instead of having cheaper smaller luch specials they make slightly larger and a little higher priced specials?? parking is plentifull and room even for those rv things read more

Normally I wouldn't review a casual dining establishment but this exception is prompted by the front end order taker/waitress/ busser, Amanda. She clearly likes her job and it shows. She is professional, efficient, friendly and welcoming. The food is fine, the atmosphere is fine, the pricing is fine but Amanda clearly stands out and other restaurants should look to her to find out what a good employee does. We will come back solely because of her. Management should evaluate whether they are paying her enough, I think not. And NO, I have not met any employee of Happy Teriyaki and I am not a relative, just a happy diner. read more

We normally order the combo B and Honey Garlic Chicken. There is enough food for a filling dinner for 2 as well as lunch for both of us the next day. It has always been excellent. We almost always get out food to go and it stands up well to traveling home to enjoy ir meal. We go atleast once a month and tonights was just as good as always. read more

I go to Happy Teriyaki once a week. I look forward to it because the food is always so delicious. It always amazes me that the girl at the register also serves the food and drinks and busses the tables also. She always has a smile on her face and always gets it all right. When I went in it was my first time going to this place and i'll never come back. I work in customer service and know how to treat people in general, this is obviously something that is not pushed in this "restaurant." When I asked the waitress what is in their Yakisoba noodles she went to the back to ask and then the told me "cabbage, broccoli, carrots," and a couple of other veggies and only listed veggies. I am a vegetarian and I asked if there was meat in the noodles as I always do and she said no. When I sat down after paying $10 for a plate of noodles she came back and there was chicken in it. When I pointed it out to her she said that she could not take it back and that was what I ordered when it was clearly not. She had also said that if she were to take it back there then they would say she has to pay for the food, which it was her fault in the first place. I did not get a refund. We were polite. She asked me if I wanted to pay for another dish and look off of a vegetarian menu and I said no because I had already felt like I didn't want to be there and uncomfortable. After a while and being upset while my friend was eating we had asked to speak to the manager. The waitress said she will go ask and the manager happened to be at a table not too far away from us. After watching the conversation to see if she can come speak to us she got up and started waving her hands around saying "there's nothing to talk to." And her and the man she was with got up and left. I left the pile of noodles and chicken at the store because I didn't know what to do with it. About 10 min later I had told my mom about it and she called to complain. The waitress answered back saying her hands are tied, there's nothing she can do about it, and hung up. I've never been treated so rudely at a restaurant before and I will not return as the manager had also said that if I don't like their food to not return. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you want disappointment and a fight. read more

The food here is okay. Not the best ever, but not terrible. They give you quite a large helping, but all of there menu items include getting a whole bunch of one kind of meat item and rice. I would rather have a much smaller amount of two kinds of things, rather than a heaping portion of more than I would ever eat of one thing. When I asked about doing a half and half of two things that have the same price, you would have thought I had said something really insulting. From then on the service was lousy and the waitress was snide. Since the service was sadly so lousy, I will likely not be back. But if you are feeling really desperate for teriyaki...the food here is okay. Just don't make the mistake I made and ask if they can do something slightly off menu. Also it seemed two of the employees were having their own silent battle with each other...which may have contributed to the level of service I received. read more
