The restaurant is clean, though a little dark and narrow. The service is adequate and the rounds came quickly. Other reviews make it seem like they have off days, but the fish that I had was fresh, the rolls well-made, and proportion and preparation were really pretty good. While we considered the more premium tier, the regular one covers most of the menu and all of my favorites. Give me all the salmon and unagi, please. It's quite worth returning! read more

Price is about $48/person for the silver option and although it is a steeper price range compared to other cities, it has been one of the better deals I found in SF. They also have an all you can drink option for +$10. I have only been as a party of 2 and we have enough food before the 90 minute time limit runs out. Although they limit you to 6 orders for every ~10minutes, there are options like "6 piece of salmon sashimi" as one order so if you are with a larger group, this will be the way to go versus ordering the 2 pieces individually. Ordering using the ipad makes it easy to keep track of what you ordered each round. There are plenty of sushi joints around clement, divis, taraval but this one hits the AYCE sweet spot perfectly for an affordable $50 / person (trust me... it's worth it if you plan it strategically!) Akin to a small mom and pop, if you're going for AYCE on a weekend be warned that there will be an up to 15/30 min wait as some tables are for that or single sushi dinner tables. Another note is that each table has 90 minutes of dining time and 10 minutes per order queue max of 6 per round (I suggest you queue up orders ahead of time and set a timer haha) Server second time around was super funny and made the experience whole! She assured us that we're definitely getting our moneys worth with our crazy rounds of sashimi's! I recommend trying their squid sashimi.... Stopped by here to hang out with my friend for his bday, was craving sushi, and we both were looking for an AYCE place. Walked in and were quickly seated. The place had just opened a bit earlier so there weren't too many patrons inside yet, a few people at the sushi bar front and another group at another table. The ambiance is typical for a sushi place, traditional chefs in the front making your rolls, TVs playing sports games, and just your traditional Japanese restaurant vibes. We both got the silver AYCE choice, as we were planning to get mainly sashimi and a few rolls, the gold looked good and the additional $10 for All you can drink, but it was a work day so we kept it mellow. Started off with a few rounds of sashimi, and they tasted pretty good, I totally digged the salmon as it's my usual go-to. I then ordered a few unagi hand rolls and unagi nigiri (my second go-to) and they were both delicious! We also grabbed a dragon roll and lion king roll, both hit the spot, and the shrimp tempura was so good, that I got a shrimp tempura hand roll afterward to go with my miso soup, what a way to finish up dinner. Decent AYCE sushi buffet in SF though I would say it is overpriced (~$48 for the silver course) considering the limits of their ordering system compared to other SF sushi buffets. You can only order 4 orders of nigiri (2 pieces) or sashimi (4 pieces) at a time and the cooldown timer is 10 minutes, which makes you have to decide between sashimi or nigiri. This system applies for their rolls as well. There is a separate option to request 4 or 6 pieces of nigiri in one order but it is limited to salmon and tuna. About halfway through our meal, they said they "ran out of salmon" as they were close to closing though it was still 30 minutes to their last call. Unsure how busy it gets in peak times but the atmosphere is on the quieter/cozier side. The staff were not as kind as I would have hoped, but they may have been a bit tired as we visited an hour before closing. The fish tasted fresh and the specialty pieces were delicious. The rice to fish ratio was perfect for me. I read that it can get pretty busy but when we went (weeknight) we were seated really fast. We called in advance and they had our table waiting for us. The service here is great. The waiter was really attentive and the sushi came out fast. You order through a tablet which is really helpful. The restaurant is small, but most sushi restaurants are small. The only drawback was the parking- we had to take several trips around the block to find parking. We didn't know that the 2 parking spots right in front belongs to the restaurant so if you see those spots open- take it! We walked around after dinner and even though it was nighttime there were still a few people walking around. The young african american woman host in the front was rude, she was just looking down on her phone and didn't even realize we were standing there waiting to be greeted because she was so distracted on her phone. We waited for her to look up and when she finally did, she acted like we were inconveniencing her. It ruined what we thought would be a nice dinner out. It's unfortunate because I have been here many times in the past and always had a pleasant experience, however that must've been before she worked there because I had never seen her there before. We appreciate service as much as the food, so when it's rude service, that's something that can make or break the experience for us. Came here on a Thursday night around 8pm for the ayce & was immediately greeted & seated. The owner was extremely nice & also let us choose where to sit. I also liked that it didn't feel like I was so close to people, like other sushi places. We were given a tablet to order, which I actually love. You don't have to wait around for a server & you can plan what to get next. Items on the menu didn't have any descriptions BUT the pictures for them were close up & he was happy to explain it to us. They also had an all you can drink option for an additional $10, which is actually so much value because the cheapest bottle you could get was $8 (the dry sake was so smooth). Unfortunately we didn't get it but I immediately regretted it 2 bottles in. I LOVED the nigiris. They have a different type of salmon that I haven't seen anywhere else. We did not finish a few things (there seemed to be a mixup that we got some extra skewers no one at our table could account for ordering) but we were not charged extra for it. We did the Silver option, which we realized does not include certain proteins like scallops. Note the menu has tons of typos, spelling errors, and mistakes. Often the photo shown on the iPad menu is not actually what you get, for example there was a tempura roll, but the photo was regular tempura and that's what we thought we were getting. There was a roll that showed roe on top, but we only got sauce on top. Total was $58.70 per person. Sashimi overall - 3.5 stars. We really enjoyed the salmon and kept ordering it. Near the end of our meal, we got a few pieces that weren't thawed all the way - maybe it was tuna. This wasn't too enjoyable. Yakitori - 3 stars. I found the meat to be quite dry. Rolls - 3.5 stars. I would highly recommend trying this AYCE sushi spot if you're hunting for an AYCE sushi place in SF. I came here with two friends and we got roughly 5-6 rounds in our 90 minute session. The wait was approx 15-30 min. They have a public restroom with the bar they're conjoined to. The sushi wasn't the freshest and we could tell some pieces were recently frozen and thawing, but the quantity/quality per $ was pretty great. I would recommend putting in your orders as soon as the elapsed time is up, so you can take advantage of getting the most out of it, then slow down near the end when you are getting full. They do serve the sushi plates in waves that start slow at first. They start you off with miso soup and you get complementary ice cream at the end. Our server was very sweet, and she was our favorite part of this experience and why I'm rating it 5/5. She was very attentive. I didn't get to catch her name but she was on the younger end, darker skinned, and wears her hair in a ponytail. In town for a conference and wanted to find a AYCE sushi place. Many of them in SF closed down due to Covid. Harajuku is still around. $55 for the gold version. I didn't get the $10 all you can drink as I'm not an alcoholic. They have a tablet you order with at your table. Quite similar to the Japanese conveyor restaurants in Japan. If you do AYCE make sure to keep one of the regular menus with you to decode the rolls. Also keep in mind with the tablet you cannot tell them "no masago" for example. The "pick 2 for entire time" was underwhelming. The salmon tataki was not great - lots of fried onions on top. The Blue Fin Toro sashimi was not high end toro. Service was good but it was a slow night. Most revenue I saw was from delivery orders. Music was instrumental. Place was mostly clean - they really really need to clean that fish tank. Upholstery on some of the seats was damaged. The bathroom is shared with the bar next door - in the back to the right. I would visit again. Do keep in mind parking is street parking in SF. read more

Service was pretty good, but again, the restaurant was empty. Food was ok - nothing spectacular. The sushi tasted fine, but fell apart pretty easily. I did like the pork belly skewers (Butabara) and the crab and cream cheese wontons, though. You can only order 6 items per round every 10 minutes which worked out for my party of 2. However, I can image that wouldn't be enough for a bigger party. There's also a bar next door that is also owned by the same owner. Parking was a bit difficult since it was in a busy neighborhood. We couldn't get much on the table and had to wait for the food a lot and it came in a way where we couldn't barely get one piece each. The food was great, but probably 4 stars; the extra star bringing it to 5 stars is for the welcoming feeling we got from the waitperson. What a nice little neighborhood restaurant! It was my first time there and walked right past it before checking online for the exact address! The sign is really tiny, so you really have to check the address. Anyway, we ordered a couple of entrees to share and the soft shell crab as the starter. We were served tea and miso soup first and the crab was brought very soon after. The crab was so delicious, very crispy and light. We split the two entrees, the unagi don and the beef teriyaki. The piece of unagi was a good size and it was on top of a huge mound of rice. We ordered the beef teriyaki medium rare, but it came more medium than rare; it was still tender and delicious. I appreciated the veggies that came with the teriyaki. The three items were more than enough for two of us and I ended up with part of the rice and beef to take home. The waitperson packaged the leftovers very nicely and included an extra container of teriyaki sauce. He refilled our tea cups numerous times and checked on us a couple of times; just really attentive without being intrusive! If you check in on Yelp, you can get a free order of edamame or miso soup!
