Let me just start off by saying this, It is extremely difficult to find a good company/person to do any job that you need. Calling and getting quotes is one thing, but the important part is the quality and pride with which these people/person do the job. The sales person was great! Actual workers were less than mediocre. Very messy in every way possible. My walls were marred up by dirty hands and dents and scratches were inside and out. Pieces of my old windows and newly cut window parts were everywhere. Even my roof had parts left there thinking I would never go there. I had to tell them to clean the glass after they were done, and this is a window company???? The workmanship was just not the quality that sales sold it as. This is important as consumers rely on what is being told. Though the years I've learned to be skeptical as "professionals" are not always professional and they forget why they are doing their job. It shouldn't just be a paycheck. They replaced all the windows and doors...only thing I'm not too happy with are the appearance of kitchen bay windows. if I ever get new windows for another house, I will pay attention to measurements being taken because I notice 1-2 inches of gaps between window and frame which was covered up with vinyl taping sacrificing window space. I would use them again being more attentive to measurements. I had an issue with a French door and after 2 failed attempts to get the top gap closed in, Milgard ended up replacing the door which fixed the problem. I just had 11 windows installed and one window stuccoed. The windows seem like they are good quality for a fair price that I was given. It's to soon to know the true quality of the windows, although the house does seem better insulated. The crew was here at the time agreed upon. They were clean and courteous. Worth the wait! Not many wait to writ a review 2+ years later but I decided to do so. We had Hardy Windows install 9 new windows, a sliding door and a very complicated custom window in our house in 2014. I'm writing this because i'm very impressed with the way these have preformed over the last 2+ years. We had a garden window with angled glass that is not made anymore over our kitchen that extended to our family room and couldn't figure out how to replace it. With a lot of help from Jim and many drawings we came up with a solution that required some construction including drywall and stucco. Hardy's did a great job allowing us to use larger windows enhancing our view. After shopping 4 other window companies, not one of them was willing to do this particular solution. They all wanted to play it safe. So now at this later date, just wanted to say thanks for a job well done! read more

He showed me a sample window that was vinyl white and had the double glass-the first one makes the UVA / UVB rays stay out the inside room-it is also noise reduction, and handles the cold. We bought a house in Placentia, recently, that needed one new kitchen and one bedroom window. After visiting other window showrooms, we chose Hardy. The salesman was friendly and knowledgeable and the price was good.The installer was meticulous and did not rush through the job. We found a very small scratch on the kitchen window after it was installed--most likely from the manufacturer. The installer immediately volunteered to get a new glass pane for us--just great!--no arguing about the defect at all. The follow up calls from the office, to keep us updated on the entire installation job, were timely, efficient and friendly. We gave them 5 stars, even though we had to wait 4 weeks for the first installation, then 2.5 weeks for the scratched window to be replaced. They said the windows had to be ordered and shipped from the factory and that takes time. The installation wait time may have been longer due to our small job--we don't know--but we weren't in any hurry. The other window companies, that had their own manufacturing on site, were much more expensive. We will hire Hardy Windows again, as needed, for the other windows in our house. Called first time to get a quote for two new windows and no one ever called back. Called second time three days later and a salesman called me back. He was pushing replacement windows, while I wanted new construction. He then asked me which brand I wanted and I named three that I thought were good. Asked him his opinion and was told to just select whichever I wanted. Asked him if he would come out and look at what I wanted done and was told he didn't need to and all the information I needed he would provide over the phone. Lastly I asked him to provide the price broken down into window cost, installation and the stucco removal and re-stuccoing. He did not want to do this but said he would in an email with the quote. Many days later and still have received no quote. If their sales service is any indication of the quality of their work then I guess I'm happy they ignored me. read more

I can't be completely satisfied because when it rains that's when you know if you have a good installation . The first issue was the growth of mold inside the frame. I called and they came out to clean it but now the frame has sprung a leak. They are beautiful windows but In my opinion I don't feel they are professionally installed. read more
