Maybe Wineburgers just aren't my thing. It came out as a literal brick of meat so I'm glad I didn't order my usual well done or I'd still be working on it. But unfortunately with the size of the patty and being cooked medium it was cold and really pink inside and ruined my appetite. It seems like the patty is only seasoned with the wine so it doesn't really taste like much. I'm just still surprised so many people rave over these burgers when it don't taste like much besides the burger toppings. I heard about this place so many times and always wanted to stop in. I'm glad I did. I went during the day on a Sunday and it was still fairly busy but had a nice neighborhood vibe. The elderly white lady bartender treated us real bad tonight. We didn't even get a chance to order food or shots and barely had a chance to sit down. I''m sorry her job has made her hate people and maybe this isn't her optimal line of work. She chose to make fun of my friends for asking for coors light or tower ("what the fuck is tower") and didn't offer options. Instead it was declared by thumping her hand on the options that were printed on the paper menu. Probably won't be back on a Sunday, my friends say it's a great place on other days and I hear the food is decent, maybe we will try again on a Thursday or something. Recently came here just to check out a nearby bar in the area. I'm a big fan of bar and grills and this place caught my eye! The menu featured had tons of appetizing burgers especially with the food being served late. Prices on beer are fair. The bar is quite busy and a bit loud but not rowdy. Came here on the recommendation of the Arizona Boots and Burgers interview listing Harvey's as "hands down" the best burger in AZ. Well, that dude should get the boot for the burger he recommended. The burgers have ZERO seasoning. None. If you told me someone scraped the seasoning off with a knife before handing it to me I wouldn't argue. The burgers are thick but small. My side salad was a handful of lettuce, a chopped up tomato and whole onions meant to be on top of the burger. They're cheap and made well, I'll drink to that any day! Now, you might think a place this good would be a secret, but nope! It's buzzing like a beehive in springtime, and for good reason. The food was really good and if I could review just on food I would say 5 stars. My waitress was very rude and when I went up to the bar to see what whiskey they had. I was told to Waite a minute. Over the last year or so, they've instituted a policy where if you come in and sit down when it's busy, with a group of 4+, they will tell you "we won't serve you." It's not "hey the kitchen or bar is backed up so you're going to wait longer." It is "we won't serve you, get out." It doesn't make sense--if we have to wait a while, that's fine, we'll relax and get some beers and wait. Nope. They refuse you any service, and frankly are rude about it, and don't even explain the reason very well. It's been three times now, once with a group of 4, once with 6, and once with 8. We've been happy to split up the group to different tables, or happy to wait and just drink, but nope. See ya. And I know what you're thinking...no I am not personally 86'd as I've gone in plenty of times on my own or with others and have been served. It's just when it's really busy and you bring in more than 2 or 3 people. If the kitchen is too small--and it is--they could remove some tables to reduce seating capacity. They could also get a host/hostess during busy times to manage parties. Nah. They literally refuse you any service, even drinks, and they're dicks about it even though it's really THEIR problem. It's hard to recommend this place to other people because I don't know what they're going to encounter when they walk in. Been a regular for years and have loved coming here to eat (I don't drink)- however I believe a new rule was put in place that underage guests were not allowed to eat in the establishment ( in my understanding the rule only ever applied in the past after 9/10pm) - I have been here many of times with family groups including underage kids and have always been served regardless of how obvious the age gap was. So just a heads up incase anyone didn't know! Bummer that we had to leave today due to this new rule!
