Out of the Hawai'ian restaurants in Tucson, this is by far my favorite and the taste and flavors remind me the most of when I lived in Oahu. This was our first time here and we had an excellent lunch on a Friday afternoon. It started with an employee, Savannah who greeted us when we came inside with a warm welcome and discussed at length of every product they had. It seemed like she spoke in detail about everything for over 10 minutes. It was surprising to me that we had superior service at an establishment that I would consider fast casual than many of the finer dining options in Tucson and the surrounding areas. I do not know how much Savannah earns, but her professionalism would make one think she is the owner (she is not as I asked), but she is well deserving of a raise! Customers have the option of ordering everything on a touchscreen (kiosk). We ordered the Big - Mixed Molokai Luau Pork, Rice, and Mac plate; the luau Pork, Rice, and Mac plate; and the Molokai Mac Wrap Honolulu with pineapple. Everything was flavorful and the place was extremely clean including their restrooms. They have a solid business going based on my observation as there is a hospital close by. I first visited Hawaiian Bros during their grand opening week back in 2024 and had a few critiques about the flavors. Since they had just opened, I understood they were likely still working through feedback and making adjustments. I like to try everything at least twice before I form my thoughts about it.. I understand off days happen so I recently decided to revisit Hawaiian Bros. On my first visit, I dined in and found the interior bright, clean and well kept. For my recent visit, I ordered takeout on the app and picked it up at the drive thru. We ordered two Mixed Plate Classics ($12.99 each), which come with white rice, macaroni salad, and your choice of meats. One plate included Huli Huli Chicken (Teriyaki) and Luau Pork, while the other came with Huli Huli Chicken and Honolulu Chicken (garlicky sauce w/ green onions). They also included teriyaki sauce and pineapple BBQ sauce on the side. I hate to leave a critical review but I still have some critiques about the flavors. The macaroni salad tasted very bland and was a bit disappointing. The Luau Pork was overly salted.. and the Huli Huli & Honolulu Chicken were just okay. They didn't particularly stand out. I also felt that the portions were smaller than what I've received at other Hawaiian BBQ restaurants, especially considering the price. That said, the service was very friendly and fast, and they're one of the few restaurants open late, which makes them a convenient option. The place was clean and well lit. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing and it was busy inside as well as the drive through. They use a kiosk system which was very efficient. There was a person inside helping with the kiosks if needed as well as making sure people could pick up the correct order. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining how it all worked and what to expect. The food had a good quantity and good prices t for the quality. It arrived quickly even with how busy it was. We got the chicken tha was like a teriyaki style and the spicy version. Both tasted great! The spicy definitely had a strong heat to it, so if you do not like heat it is not the option for you. We loved that we could get vegetables and pineapple instead of the rice or macaroni options. They also had spam options for people looking for that aspect of Hawaiian cuisine. Things were a little salty but otherwise everything tasted great and was very filling. We both had food for another meal with the large meals. Well worth it. The Dole whip is a great memory for us, the Tiki room at Disneyland and getting Dole whip as kids. We have been trying to find a good Hawaiian place since our favorite in town closed down. This place was sadly not it. Best way to describe the culinary experience this is the Panda Express of the Hawaiian BBQs the vibe, the service and even the food. Just like panda their food is not bad it's just not what you expect if you had a more traditional authentic Hawaiian BBQ. The food was too salty for my taste and the famous macaroni salad did not hit the spot. I was excited to try this place as there is a lot of hype behind it but honestly it felt short. read more

Went to Angie's, horrible service. Nobody even helped us. We walked out came next-door so glad we did. There was somebody to help us at the door, explain the menu, and ad to take our order. I do wish he had explained for two dollars more we could've gotten double of meat. We got the Huli Huli chicken, rice and potato salad. You would think that sounds simple, but it wasn't. Recommendation: Huge fan of Hawaiian style 'cuisine' and have now tried this location about 3 times, and it's unexceptional in its overall taste, respectfully. So 'recommend', yes, but I'd offer they could work on the flavoring a bit more... Food: Good, not spectacular, and as others have communicated, I agree, a bit under portioned for the price, though on THIS review, I've added a pic where the portion size seems to be improved and fuller. The food was QUICK to be delivered and enjoyable, but not tantalizing to the taste. I don't mean that to be necessarily a negative, but, it's not entirely a positive... Decor/presentation: This restaurant has an extrEMELY spacious eating area, very light hearted decoration, outdoor seating, openness and appealing in it's overall well lit design with lots of windows, swag, overhead music and very clean restrooms. The kiosks are nice but I refuse to use them. I want to speak to a human, transact and get it done. I despise using kiosks as they're impersonal and defeats the human experience. Others may like it to peruse but I am not a fan of restaurants that go this route. If you're going to charge the rates they do, put a human out there. At least here, they do! *Unfortunately, when I inquired with the Register Staff if they've considered advertising on Davis Monthan, they had absolutely NO idea whether or not if they had EVER communicated or even have considered advertising with Davis Monthan Air Force Base. There are literally THOUSANDS of Military people who'd love the chance to have catered food on the Base; I know, I just retired there and I've never heard of this place before if it weren't me driving by and seeing the sign. Huge miss in marketing/advertising and a financial boom the owners seriously need to consider. We've partnered with other 'businesses' and have sent a flow of cash to them and can schedule mass meals and events in less than 3 days; hopefully ownership takes a deep look into this... read more

First Impressions: I've been wanting to try this place for a long-time since it came to Tucson, AZ. I have to admit when I got my food my initial impression was (Not sure if its fresh). Interactions: The staff were very friendly, and I actually had no issues whatsoever. The staff did a great job explaining what to order and what is popular by demand. I went wit there recommendation. I always appreciate the willingness to go over a menu with a fellow first newbie. Service: This part was a bit tricky, I know I came during a Friday, and they were busy, so I can't really be to harsh here as I understand that it came get pretty busy, and considering its near the Park Place Mall, it sure was. My food did take quite a long time to come out. Food: I had a lot of excitement and hope for this one as I LOVE LOVE Hawaiian food, but the excitement stopped here. The food was pretty underwhelming in terms of portion and quality and freshness. The Mac Salad had way to much mayo, almost as if someone accidently may have added to much into the recipe. The chicken felt rubbery a bit and their was no spice at all despite it being flagged as spicy. Overall the food was very underwhelming and I basically did not finish my meal by the end of it. Value: It's pretty expensive here, and for the quality and quantity I would say there are better choices in this price range (Solid Grindz etc). I don't think the value IMO is worth it considering the above mentioned. Recommendation: I don't like leaving low ratings as I try to be as objective and fair as possible, but as I've always said, the one thing that usually kills food visits for me is almost always feeling underwhelmed and food being just not as it should be. From quality, taste & portion I can't recommend this place for the price you pay as there are much better options in the price range that will provide all of the above mentioned. However I will give a 2-star because the staff were great! read more

Stopped by Hawaiian Bros cause we were wanting some Hawaiian food. The inside was very clean and quiet. It wasn't very busy when we went. We used the kiosk to order so we didn't interact with the workers to order. The food came out fairly quick! My daughter ordered the kids Honolulu chicken with rice, pineapples and a dole whip. She ate all of it and absolutely loved it. I ordered the mix with Honolulu chicken & Molokai chicken with rice, Mac salad and dole whip! It was delicious. I was not a fan of the Mac salad though. It lacked flavor in my opinion. The Molokai chicken said it was spicy but I didn't get any hit of spice but it was still good. Their machine for pineapple dole whip was down so we could only get the strawberry which is fine cause it was phenomenal! I will be coming back to try other menu items. read more

I've been here three times and gotten the hula hula, honolulu, and molokai variations. I've gotten the large, classic, and small orders. The staff is super friendly and they serve the food quick (within 5 minutes from ordering). The food is tasty. The place is clean and modern looking with a neon shaka on the wall. Where I have issues is the last two times I feel like the amount of the main course is too little. Only in the large size is the portion a good size. I was disappointed in the small and classic sizes. Too much rice, not enough vegetables if you pay extra for that, and not enough chicken. The Mac salad is good and delicious. I don't like to ding places but it's twice in a row I feel like the portions are skimpy for the price. I did also get the dole whip dessert and it was delicious. We tried the Huli huli chicken (delicious teriyaki flavor!), the kalua pork (juicy, smoky, amazing), the Honolulu chicken (garlicky savory yummy), the white rice (I threw their soy ginger sauce on it and it was amazing) and Mac salad (creamy good) the spam masubi (no idea how good it was because my son devoured it immediately). The establishment is clean, nicely decorated and has a chill vibe. Spacious, there was a few patrons dining in and a few getting takeout. The clerk came up greeted us and asked we if we needed any help, which we did. She helped me make my decision and I payed. Lastly she brought the food out to us. She was very sweet and welcoming. Now when I reached my destination I heated up my food. I must say the portion was smaller than what I expected. I substituted the rice and Mac salad sides for a double helping of veggies. Can I just say I'm happy there is a drive thru! We ordered three plates to share as a family of 6. They did let us get double rice instead of the macaroni salad. The employees were very friendly, and they spoke to me with a "Hawaiian" type accent which goes well with the food and theme of the place. They had us pull up to the pick up area outside for our food and change. The chicken was well marinated and had a good flavor. I liked the Molokai chicken, it had a nice heat level that isn't too hot. All three chicken dishes were very similar and we probably should ordered only two. Stopped by today while running errands and in the area. The teen daughter wanted to treat, so we bypassed the self serve computers and went to the one manned register so she could use cash. It's a pretty straightforward menu with 4 chicken options, one pork, one vegetable, a salad and a spam sushi. You can get just the one entree or do a mixed plate with two options. The daughter and I both got mixed, which comes with two sides. Default sides are rice and macaroni salad but the daughter asked for pineapple instead of the Mac. I noticed on the register tbere was a 50 cent up charge for it, which was not said nor are there prices in the menu. For 50 cents didn't say anything, but when we got the food wish we had. The pineapple was two quarter sections of a ring (see pic). So essentially, her side was half a pineapple ring, which she was charged an extra fee for. At most places that would be the garnish on the plate. The rest of the meal was great though. The rest of the portions were good size (lunch tomorrow too!) and the rice was perfectly cooked. The pork was moist and flavorful and the chicken was great. They service was quick and they delivered the food with teriyaki and pineapple sauces on the side. We didn't have but I saw people order the dole whip, which looked great. Maybe next time, cause we will be back. We just won't order the pineapple read more

I was excited to try Hawaiian Bros mainly because I really, really wanted that Dole Whip. My guy and I split a plate of Honolulu chicken served on a bed of rice with sides consisting of macaroni salad and fresh pineapple. I thought the chicken was delicious! The macaroni salad was decent and not completely overloaded with mayonnaise. As for the fresh pineapple....3 large chunks and only one was the expected color and flavor, the other 2 chunks were severely underripe so lacked a lot of flavor or juiciness. The pineapple Dole Whip was a true delight! I devoured the whole thing after lunch and thoroughly enjoyed every spoonful. Customer service was excellent from the girl taking our order, the guy delivering our food to our table on the patio to the person making and handing over my whip as we were getting ready to leave. Oh and we also had a can of POG (passion, orange, guava juice) which we love. Only thing is, when I asked if they had POG, the girl taking our order didn't know what that was. She just said we have Hawaiian Sun drinks. She had to read the description of the flavors to understand POG. I kinda think she should have been educated on the drinks a little better as POG is a classic! Our experience at Hawaiian Bros was good and we'll definitely be back to try some other menu items. I love a Hawaiian BBQ, but it was the note at the top of their webpage that said "All of our menu items are gluten free except the macaroni" that won me over. Yes. Please. And thank you. And even better? Their soft serve is also dairy free! They delivered our meal quickly, despite the lunch rush, and had plenty of seating. The restaurant is well lit, and the tables are well spaced. The plasticware has a partial covering to protect from germs, which I love. We tried four of the meats. You can have two meats per plate for an extra $1 and we wanted to try as many as we could between us. The spicy meats were not spicy to us at all, but we are Mexican and eat Takis for breakfast, so I can't judge. However, the spiciest meat choice (it says something about channeling the heat of volcanoes in the description) was my favorite of all four. I am also very excited that they have a drive through, because quick-stop lunch options that are gluten free are hard to come by. read more

My bf door dashed me Hawaiian Bros for Valentine's Day (hence the roses) so I'm not entirely sure what the names were. I got marinated chicken that was sweet and tender, pork that did not have any sauce, with a lot of rice and some Mac salad. Also got 2 spam Musubi's. The chicken was tender and really good, marinated well and was delicious. The pork on the other hand was kind of dry--there was sauce on the side so I dipped, but I think it would have been better marinated. Mac salad was good, a little watery but I liked it. Opted for steamed veggies instead of the mayo-rich macaroni salad (definitely the way to go). Jamaica tea is very sweet so add a little seltzer (at home) or tons of ice/water in restaurant. Saw this pop up on social media and had to check it out. Been a while since I had good Hawaiian food. You order on a tablet at the entrance. A nice young lady helped me make my selections. I ended up ordering large Honolulu chicken which comes with rice and macaroni. Also ordered a side of pineapple. The chicken was wonderful. It was sweet without being too sweet. The rice was perfect and the macaroni was ok (to be fair I am pretty picky about my macaroni). The decor is simple and functional and has a fast food vibe. Probably not a place to come to with a date you're trying to impress. They take your name when you order and tell out your name when it's ready, but it's not miked so normally the staff wanders around trying to find you. This is a new establishment so there's a few kinks to work out. It is definitely worth a try and I'll be back to try the other options. I didn't order it but they have Dole pineapple whip. Friendly staff that greets you at the door. There are self order kiosks as you walk in but staff available if you prefer to order with a person. Once you order you take a seat. When your food is available a staff person will bring your food to you. The food is mostly good. I ordered a plater and the masubi. The masubi is not good. It was dry and tasted weird. The plater was delicious. They have plenty of seating indoors and a drive thru window. It was quiet while we were there. They also have some cool shirts and gear for sale. read more
