Came here with my son and he loved the food! Fast friendly service with a laid back atmosphere. Tons of food for the process you pay and well worth it. I got a bento with teriyaki chicken, vegetable, egg rolls, and mixed tempura. He got the AYCE and we were so surprised with the portions. When ordering a roll be ready to get a FULL roll!!! We're were use to getting 1/2 a roll since it was a AYCE but nope... not here... so the 1st round was tough lol other than that no complaints! Definitely come try this place out!

Wanted a quick lunch with a craving for fish and stopped by here for the first time. The decor is cute and lively, and the vibes would be great at nighttime. Was there for lunch so it was calm and quiet, and got a lunch Bento. Pretty well priced and came with a lot of food! Got the salmon teriyaki with nigiri and tempura, all my faves. Would recommend~

Super great lunch place! All the cuts of fish, except the tuna, were amazing! The service was quick and Kim was really attentive to us the whole time! Great place to go if you're looking for a fun and lively place to eat with friends!!

Dined here for the first time recently while in the area. I knew they offered all-you-can-eat, but we didn't have a huge appetite at the time, so we opted to order à la carte, and everything worked out great. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. With so many items on the menu, we narrowed it down to the Maki & Sashimi combo, a couple of carpaccios, and a shrimp tempura roll. The quality and presentation of the food was top notch. They also have a large drink menu if you're looking to enjoy sake, beer, soju, and non-alcoholic beverages. The staff was kind and attentive. I love the decor, lighting, and layout of the dining area with comfy booths, some with high walls for privacy, and the bar seating looked great, too. I'd come back again and try more items, and maybe the AYCE when my appetite is big enough. This place is worth checking out.

Have been visiting this spot a few times and came back with some friends! The sushi here is absolutely delicious, great quality and price all around, the sever Erika was very attentive, quickly got us what we needed and very knowledgeable of the menu! She's absolutely awesome and so was the guys behind the sushi counter :). I definitely recommend this place. There sushi is late night, too and has definitely saved me from a late night sushi craving.

AYCE sushi was dangerously good. Like... "we're not leaving anytime soon" good. Rolls kept coming, fish was fresh, and we were fully committed to the all-you-can-eat lifestyle. But the real MVP was the service. One server running the whole place all night and she handled it like a boss. Always checking on us, drinks never empty, orders flying out like she had clones. The vibes were cozy too. cute lights everywhere, chill atmosphere, perfect for eating way more sushi than planned. Overall, a solid sushi spot in Fullerton. Would absolutely roll back

Back again! All you can eat sushi! It doesn't get better than that! My husband does the all-you-can-eat premium sushi for $40. That's such a great deal!! You get 10 items each time and 3 rounds total. All in all, you could eat 30 items if you wanted. That's a ton of sushi! lol This time, I wanted to try something different. I got the salmon teriyaki last time, and this time I went for the vegetable udon. The vegetable udon was HUGE! They brought this giant bowl of soup that was scorching hot!!! Seriously, I had to wait a good 6 minutes before I could even eat it lol The fresh veggies were nice. Loved the udon noodles. It's a really big bowl of soup. Very filling! I ordered the avocado and cucumber rolls. Fresh and delicious! And tried the cheese corn. That was alright. The shrimp tempura is one of my favorites here. The shrimp are so fresh, and I love the crunchy tempura batter. Great! Service was very good. They are fast and friendly. Vert attentive.

AYCE sushi sometimes can be a hit or a miss but ultimately this place was good. It was a bit on the pricier side of about 40 bucks per person and adding a drink on top of that made it a bit more pricey. Service was quick and nice but tuna quality felt a little rubbery and sometimes i feel wary with a bright red for a spicy tuna. Ultimately a good place with a lot of seating and good service.

This is our favorite place when we're in the area. Sometimes you have to be patient because the servers are working hard and doing everything all at once. That being said, we've never had a bad experience here and we always leave happy and full. There are so many options that even our picky toddler finds something that she likes. The rolls are great, the nigiri is fresh, and the appetizers are always made to order.

The prices here are pretty average compared to other restaurants... but when you consider portion size and quality, this place is heavily overpriced. I got the spicy tataki roll, which sounded great in the description, but they put some pepper/salt/seasoning rub on the albacore. This made it overly salty and I found myself constantly reaching for water. My friend got a baked salmon roll. It came out absolutely drenched in mayo, and the rolls underneath the baked salmon were tiny and misproportioned. The workers are friendly and nice, but I think there are better sushi restaurants that offer better quality rolls for a similar price. read more

My child had a stomach issue and my family had to leave the all you can eat so the server Ericka gave us excellent customer service giving us free to go without paying for any leftovers sushi. Throughout the night she tended to our needs with excellent care. read more

WARNING you will get food poisoning from here! Sushi id give it a 2/10 I've had better sushi from the grocery store. Don't get anything with imitation crab in it, it tastes like rotting fish! Service was also poor, and overall not a good experience. Do better. read more

Absolutely horrible!!! Fish was dry... the tuna didn't taste like tuna... the miso soup was a joke ...there wasn't any tofu in it and or seaweed The roll was also horrible I wouldn't eat here again if someone paid me!'!! read more

This place was amazing! First I am going to start off with the service. The service was great! They were so nice and they were very attentive to us. The restaurant itself is huge and the chefs make the sushi and give it to you while you're sitting down. As for the quality, the quality was amazing. The portions were surprisingly very good as well. There was less rice and more fish. The salmon tasted very fresh and I actually really liked the yellowtail as well. Also if you get the al carte, make sure to try the spicy ramen! It was delicious and very spicy! I am definitely coming here again the next time I am in the area! read more

Misleading promos. Went down there for happy hour promo after seeing their ads. Event runs from 11am-3pm. I arrived around 1pm to get in. So many empty seats but said happy hour is done for the day. No apologies at all. No disclaimer about cutoff or limits to the ads. Wasted time. Bad publicity stunt. So many options in OC for AYCE. Would not recommend this place. read more

All the pictures and the great reviews made me super excited to try hello sushi. I was very disappointed in my sushi. The group next to me had amazing looking sushi while mine was quite sad. So I think they are not quite consistent. Literally my unagi looks like someone sat on it. The only thing that was good was the salmon nigiri. Overall sushi was ehhh. Service was also ehh. The girl server was quite rude but the guy waiter made up for her. Don't think I would be coming back. read more

The food was good. I feel like you get what you're paying for. Average pricing as you would pay anywhere else. The appetizers were mid. I wish I had taken pics. The waitress we had sucked. She was in a rush. She would drop the food off and rush off. She didn't ask us if we wanted/ needed anything and would walk off as I was speaking. I feel like it was her only tho. The other waiters and staff members were great. The overall ambiance was great and definitely a sushi restaurant vibe. Very cute. read more

Came on Sunday at 6pm and was turned down because the waitlist was too long, even though they close at 9:30pm. Didn't see that many people waiting outside and they were just calling names. Kind of ridiculous that a restaurant that doesn't take reservations will just run their business like this in our modern day and age read more

Came here because of Instagram. The color of and taste of edamame was peculiar. Server forgot our Premium Appetizer and hand rolls. Every roll fell apart when we tried to eat it. Rolls had more rice than anything else. Servers would move trash and then move food without washing their hands. You get what you pay for I guess read more

I've tried various AYCE sushi places from all of SoCal but Hello Sushi is one of of the best I've tried. The decor inside is on point with a korean pocha influence, music varies from kpop to throwback pop and it's very clean & brightly lit. Customer service is also top notch! Nice neighborhood sushi AYCE. Today was my first time to have lunch there. The food is fresh and yummy. My little son and I ordered 12 dishes at the first round. The roll is huge that both of us were very full and couldn't order more. Also, if you don't want to do all you can eat, you can order them individually. The first time we came here it was so good ! The sushi was fresh and everything came out fairly fast. We came back a week later to an absolute disaster . They told us 20 minute wait ...we waited 55 minutes outside. Our server sat us , and we never saw her the rest of the evening. The sushi was very below average this time . Rice was hard and stale , fish was unpleasant , I even got nasty salmon skin on one of my nigiri. They are extremely understaffed and I literally saw our food sitting in the pass for 20 minutes before it came to us . Tempura was soggy , plates were u professionally presented, I can go on . Our orders were mixed up at least 2 times and we couldn't even get a hold of a server to get out of their fast enough . You guys to really hire more staff, as a chef and restaurateur myself , I can tell you that you guys are gonna phase out like most ayce sushi spots if you don't fix the service issue . read more

This place was not good. The rolls are enormous and there's barely any fresh fish in them. It's mostly crab mixed with Mayo and topped with a little raw fish which wasn't even that fresh tasting. We were deconstructing our pieces just to be able to fit them in our mouths. We didn't do ayce but when we go for sushi we order a couple rolls each and some apps. We left SO MUCH on the table and they kept offering us to go boxes but we were like nah. I would never come back here. read more

Went to try hello sushi for their all you can eat sushi and it was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted authentic after going to japan last year. Their takoyaki was hot and fresh, the yakitori was delicious with the sauce, the sushi was fresh, and the rice was amazing. Appetizers are a must. The atmosphere was nice and open with a nice bar design with a lot of Japanese elements. The service was GREAT, our server Sarah was friendly and checked on us frequently. Overall would definitely make the drive out from the beach to eat this place again! read more

Stopped by this sushi joint on the drive home from the outlets. Super friendly staff... we did the AYCE for approx $25 per person. My oldest is 9 yrs old and super tall. The prices go based on height and not age.. technically he would have been $25 too but they charged only $14 since he barely eats. My 3 year old was free. Totally a great value! We ordered a ton of rolls and some sushi. Everything was very fresh and delicious. My son got the Pokémon roll which was the only disappointment of the bunch. The salmon bites were my favorite and the Superman burrito was good. Overall great value and quality. read more

It's Friday night, had a crazy work week, so I'm ready to unwind, get a drink, and eat too much sushi for my own good! New to the area, and have been wanting to try this place, so I finally did. I had a great first time dining experience here UNTIL...... I was treated sooooo rudely when it was time for me to pay my bill! I honestly couldn't believe that what occurred even happened. Let me get the positives out it the way really quick. Greeted and seated right away, it was 6pm so wasn't busy for a table for 1. Food was delicious, lots of options, tasted fresh, and came out quickly! Their cold house sake was priced well and had good flavor too. Servers were very attentive and always made sure I had what I needed. Compared to other AYCE spots, was great and fits the bill. NOW.... where it all went LEFT! I had been dining for no longer than an hour, table was cleared, still had some sake left and was finishing up waiting for my check. One of the servers (wish I had her name) came to bring the bill, and said "CAN YOU HURRY UP AND PAY, THERE ARE PEOPLE WAITING OUTSIDE" and walked away. I couldn't believe my ears. I still had a drink in my hand, was clearly enjoying myself, and you are going to say that to me? OK BET! I get that these AYCE places are turn and burn, but I was not there for an excessive amount of time by any means- an hour TOPS. I call her back over and say that was so rude, you should never say that to anyone. I am a paying customer, this is my first time here, and you are going to tell me to hurry up? YEA, NO. She proceeds to say oh, "well it's cold outside". Excuuuuse me? Wth does that have to do with me? NOT MY PROBLEM. I was just in disbelief. At that point, I was ready to go. I walked to the front to speak to the manager, tall woman with short dark hair, and it was clear she could care less too. Didn't offer anything to turn my experience around. Infuriated doesn't even describe it. I paid, left no tip, and walked out. I would have definitely been a regular here, but after this experience, I will NEVER come back. Taking my $45 for AYCE sushi and a drink elsewhere! read more

I ordered the GOLDEN TIGER it's a deep fried sushi roll. DELICIOUS, PERIOD. I asked for it w/o cream cheese & my wish was granted. Took bout 10 minutes to make, all the workers are really nice. Arriving at 8:55 p.m., a full hour before closing time at 10:00 p.m., we were promptly seated by our waiter. Immediately, we were informed that despite being an AYCE establishment, we could only order a la carte. The reason provided was puzzling: apparently, due to having only one chef on duty, ordering a la carte would ensure our meals arrived promptly without delay. This explanation seemed illogical to me since we would have ordered the same amount of food regardless of the serving method. Disheartened by this unexpected restriction and feeling unwelcome due to the rushed explanation, we made the decision to leave. It's disappointing that such a crucial detail like the change in service format was not disclosed anywhere until we sat down. Transparency about such operational changes is essential for managing customer expectations and ensuring a positive dining experience. Yesterday , on Wednesday April 13, 2022. I went to hello sushi, Fullerton for dinner with my girlfriend. This is her first time trying sushi. This is the first time happens to me in the same night i got bad experience from hello sushi. 1. Dirty plate was served to me 2. I order ice water for my drink. As i finished half of my drink, i found a sponge left inside my cup. It was white sponge. So i requested for new cup and new drink. All i got just an apology from server. I have been to this restaurant for years. And this is the first time i experience. In this situation usually, the manager should come to table to apologize and offer something in the house or maybe at least a discount on the check. But i did not have the manager come to the table for apology. Nor compensation...for bad experience i got from the restaurant. Other than that .. everything else is good. The restaurant needs to be more upgrade their service and cleanese of their plates and cups. This is late review due to sensitive time yesterday and did not wrote the reviews asap. read more

Me and my girlfriend were in the mood for sushi today. After looking through Google maps to find a good place to eat we came across Hello Sushi. Once we arrived, the waiter was ready to seat us down so there is no waiting time. Plus, we are talking about a saturday here so that already was excellent! Once we sat down the waiter was polite amd promptly took our orders. We got the Veggie and Avacado Rolls as well as, spring rolls. Let me tell you! THEY TASTED AMAZING! Not to mention it wasn't pricey! After eating all our food we couldn't help to finish our meal with some delicious Ice cream! As a sushi lover the food was OK. I've eaten better at smaller places, for less money. But thats besides the point. The point is I was in a party of 9 and our service was good until the food came out. But becuase they automatically charge you 18% gratuity fee it felt like they no longer needed to do a follow up to see how everything was for us. Once food was delivered we no longer saw anyone. We wanted to order more food and ask for refills but after about 45 minutes of waiting we just decided to pay and leave. We walked up to the front to ask for the check and the employees were just standing at the front talking. My first experience there was not well enough for me to return. As a former employee DO NOT EAT HERE. They fill old ginger buckets with ice, wait for the ice to melt and scoop them to serve water. Sometimes will fill a large clear container with water that gets cross contaminated when people wash their hands. Their random cups are usually mouth side down on a rusted counter top. Never fully dry. It's absolutely disgusting inside the kitchen. There's dried food everywhere and I don't think they've ever once cleaned any corner of their establishment. This "mom and pop" style aesthetic they have is super unclean for a place to serve raw fish. People buy into it cause it's convenient but truly I'm surprised more people haven't gotten sick from this place. read more

OMG ! my new favorite spot to go to ! Even though there was a lot of yelling at one point from the chefs our server Dulce was sweet and made sure we were taken care of and that we felt comfortable. She checked on us constantly and got us everything we ordered. The food was really good . Hello sushi you need to talk to your chefs ( what we saw today when 1 yelled at a customer leaving and the other yell at your staff saying the servers didn't know the meaning of last call was absurd! ) only reason we are giving your restaurant a 5 star was because of your servers who work hard to take care of us. Food was good. The menu was a tad bit confusing, but nonetheless, it was good. Especially for its price. We can't say the same for their service though... Our server came to take our check and asked if we could leave a yelp review, which we told her we would do. She didn't come back with our card or receipt until we left one, and yes she asked to check our phone. She held onto our card for 15 minutes until she seen we had left one. It was a bit odd, felt like we were being held hostage until we left a review. Very weird. My sister and I will not be back anytime soon. This place is definitely a place to TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK . I always have a wonderful experience at Hello Sushi. Earlier, I called to see if they could accommodate a large group of about 18 for 1am. Kim spoke with her coworker and they were able to accommodate. Kim took our order ahead of time so the staff could prepare for us. When our group got to Hello Sushi, we had Militon as our server. AMAZING SERVICE!!!! He was very patience with us. He was quick with everything. Very professional and friendly. He continued to check in with our group periodically. If you ever get the chance to come here, the food is delicious and Militon's service was the best I have ever experienced. He made our hangout a very special one. Thank you!!! read more
