I was especially disappointed because the restaurant had such high reviews, so I came in expecting a much better experience. Instead, the meal completely ruined my appetite and left me feeling sick toward the end. I couldn't even finish my food and had to ask for the check immediately. This place used to be one of my favorite sushi spots, which makes this experience even more disappointing. While eating inside the restaurant, I saw a cockroach in the dining area. That immediately raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety, especially for a place serving raw food. The experience completely ruined my appetite. Sushi was solid in general. I've gone to a good number of AYCE places and it's rare to find any place that's notably better than the others. The service however was by far the best I've gotten in a while for any kind of restaurant. They were very attentive but without being intrusive. Plates cleared quickly, food came out at a good pace, they answered questions clearly, and they have big water cups so I don't need refills all the time. It was great! The place itself is also clean and neat. They have music playing but it's not too loud where you can't still talk. A lot of their booths are setup to feel isolated and more private. I prefer this to many of the normal, open restaurant patterns. 10/10 will be back again. It was also $32 for the lunch menu, which even applied on the weekend, which is a reasonable for what I see in the area these days. read more

Got sick eating here with my husband. The food was low quality and the service was lacking. Save yourself the $100 lunch date and don't be deceived by the reviews. Upon entering the establishment the smell of the space was not pleasant. The host advised of the menu options and convinced us to get the premium option which was not worth it since we didn't make it past the first round. We both felt sick but figured we may have over eaten but that was not the case, since we had leftover pieces that we got charged $1 a piece for. It's been over two days and still throwing up nori. The rice tasted funny and the sushi cuts looked like scraps. The waitress never came to pick up the check or give us refills on our drinks and even offered sauces that she forgot to bring and then offered it again only to bring it close to finishing the meal. Hello Bad Sushi. It was my first time ordering online for pick-up here and my husband got really sick and had horrible instant stomach aches after eating. Our order included: albacore cilantro roll, chilli yellowtail roll, spicy tuna handroll and crispy rice spicy tuna, baked green mussels. Sushi was definitely not fresh and the seaweed on the handroll wasn't fresh either. When I also entered the restaurant and waited at the front to pickup my order, I smelled a very strong cleaning chemical smell that filled the restaurant and I lost my appetite. (Later also I noticed that my to-go bag also smelled like cleaning chemicals..??!) They should not be cleaning with strong chemicals during business hours. Especially I saw some customers dining in too that time. Sadly, I wanted to give this place a try but marked in my book to not return back here after today's awful experience. read more

Tasted very old, frozen, dry, and unappetizing. Even the fried lobster/crawfish topping on the roll tasted like old, soggy oil. I couldn't believe there were good reviews for this restaurant.
