One scone was not enough. We thought we could get by with just a half, but after we finished our half, I found myself up at the counter ordering another. Advice: order your own. The Pumpkin Pecan Coffee Cake was moist and delicately flavored. The cappuccino was one of the best. I wish I had ordered another. The owner is the baker and she knows what she is doing! Great spot. Ambiance is chill as can be. Plenty of staff for what they do and all very cool. Had a good latte and the lavender oat milk matcha is possibly the best matcha I've ever had. My daughter got me into matcha a couple years ago and we've had a ton of them. They can be pretty bad...I promise. I really enjoy LaLa Land's matcha selection (the cloud...) but this one today is it. We went to Henry & The Fish for lunch. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich, and my strawberries and cream smoothie was good. However, the mozzarella, basil, and tomato sandwich was lackluster (hardly any mozzarella) and the al pastor taco bowl was soupy. Seating is plentiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. Blackberry Ube Chai! I ordered it three different times. I didn't realize such a delicious thing existed. They make the syrup in-house. It has bits of blackberry and it's not too sweet. It's just perfect. There's no other way to describe it. The guy at the counter who suggested it and was there each time we dropped by, not sure if he was the owner or not, but he was very helpful and friendly. Other things we tried and enjoyed: strawberry and cream smoothie, strawberry scone, iced Latte, and house brewed drip coffee. Best coffee in Santa Fe. Consistent. Coffee forward, creamy and lightly sweet. I've tried the Mocha, Mexican Mocha, Pumpkin, and Salted Caramel lattes. All have been 100. Tried the Thai Garlic Shrimp bowl one day. Just spicy enough! Great portion size. The cookies are dangerous. Basically love this place. If you're visiting Santa Fe this little spot is right across from a parking garage and has a nice breezeway with some seating. read more

Wonderful coffee shop/ breakfast place/ lunch spot near the plaza. We stayed at the Hilton (great hotel, terrible coffee) and ran across the street to Henry and the Fish to get a coffee each morning. I also tried their juices and they were fantastic. The cookies were addictive. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and the place is incredibly well-run. The food is very good, and there is always a bit of a crowd. It's closed on Sunday and Monday, so get your fill before then. Highly recommend. read more

DD had a veg/ protein smoothly and really loved it - I think it's the only one she's ever liked. DW and I each had Vietnamese coffee- here hot, mine iced. Both solid, but missing some subtle spice I've found elsewhere. Split a breakfast burrito- yummy, but not stand-out. Counter service was friendly and efficient. Loved the space. Keep reading and I will tell you why. This well run cafe has a chic casual ambiance, lots of locals and tourist alike comes to this cafe for its good coffee and so delicious lite fare menu. I ordered Mexican hot cocoa and friends ordered teas. My partner who is a very picky eater and not into trendy wording menus just want a plain, straightforward scrambled egg, on a slice bread, I already made an assumption that the guy who was taking his order ( he might be the manager or the owner) will say no to his request, to my surprise the guy did not even blink, he just say sure; emboldened :-) I ordered something that's not in menu which is a sunny side up egg on a toast, which he gladly took the order. My friend ordered in the menu which was turkey and cranberry. We got out beverages right away and our out of menu order arrived few minutes later, my partner scrambled egg sandwich look so simple - a bread with scrambled egg but when he took a bite he was surprised how delicious it was, my sunny side up egg on a toast was also very good, the best was my friend's turkey and cranberry sandwich, he said was heavenly good which they I took a bite of it wasn't heavenly it was was divine! A wonderful atmosphere, with delectable smells coming at you straight away as you walk through the front doors. The staff is very helpful and patient with people like me who have to take in the entire menu before deciding what I want. The matcha is amazing and the Ham Fig & Brie is delightful! After a morning of shopping, I was planning to stop for lunch, but settled for a tea after I was denied a bathroom code What appeared the be the owner/manager gas lit me with, "the building doesn't allow the PUBLIC to use the restrooms" I've never felt so blatantly disrespected with no remorse. No fresh juices, something about the machine not working. I ordered my latte extra-hot but it was lukewarm. Great healthy food menu and large space, but it fell short. This place is a gem! Healthy, tasty and clean food. I had a Buddha Bowl-quinoa, corn, mixed greens, tofu (chicken available), avocado, tomatoes with a mildly spicy tahini dressing. My husband had the ramen bowl with chicken and molten egg. He also had the avocado toast with a sunny egg. All excellent! We're going back for lunch one more time before we leave SF. I have been in Santa Fe at a writers retreat and have fallen in love with this fantastic restaurant. The owners and everyone who works there are so amazing and warm and friendly, that I already feel like it is my little home away from home. I was initially drawn to it by its name and loved leaning the beautiful story behind it. The food is so good - I love the green smoothie (it is wonderful) and also the huge delicious salads. (The squash and kale salad is amazing.) I feel so good after eating there and have gone every day of my trip! I highly recommend this wonderful place. We come to Santa Fe a few weeks every year and this place has become our go-to, every day place to get delicious healthy smoothies, breakfast food, and favorite chocolate sea salt cookies and tumeric ginger cardamom chai oat milk latte (the best drink!). The people working here are very chill and nice. Want to try the bowls and sandwich's and other food too, as they sound good. I minimize dairy and meat and it's easy to find tasty options here. read more

I didn't take a pic but this place was an unexpected delight. The friendliness of people, a very interesting lunch menu, I had tuna salad on really great bread. My only quibble is the sandwich could use more tuna salad. Prices were good (with a bit more tuna) for 2 blocks off the Plaza. Super nice people! It's all self serve (but the delivery) which isn't my preferred way of running a cafe/lunch business these days, but some places like this can overcome it with good attitude and quality of product. read more

This breakfast and lunch spot was recommended by a local gallery manager as having good clean food. We only were in Santa Fe for a week, but had 3 lunches there, because everything was well-prepared and delicious. Their Buddha bowl (quinoa, tofu, salad greens, tomatoes, avocado) was healthy and delicious, as were a tomato/mozz/basil sandwich, an amazing Turkey and cranberry panini, and a refreshing butternut squash salad with kale and grilled chicken. The husband and wife who run the place are patient with questions, helpful with choices, and turn out some of the consistently delicious combinations. They also have daily soups and several yummy cookies and scones or coffee cakes daily. They have creative combos for their smoothies and juices. Really great! Sadly, caffeine and I have a difficult relationship these days but I am not a fan of decaf. HATF's decaf was so good, I didn't feel cheated on flavor. The chocolate cherry cookie didn't hurt. If there's one drawback, it's that their hours are limited. read more

In town for a few days and was looking for a place for lunch. Stumbled across it but really wanted to eat in the plaza so I passed. Nothing in the plaza seamed as appealing so I walked back and I'm so glad I did! Had the pastor bowl and an americano. OMG it was so good. They use Colombe coffee, and I'm a huge fan. It was such a great espresso drink, nice and smooth. Definitely go here if you stumble across Henry & The Fish. You won't be disappointed! read more
