I called to get a quote on a wood destroying organism report for my property. I gave the information about the units, got the quote, then called back later to book the inspections. At that time they told me that the original quote was wrong, and it would actually be twice as much. Rather than admit they made a mistake or quoted incorrectly, they told me that I gave them the wrong information about the unit. I'm sorry, but I have been contacting multiple places for weeks, I know the details of the property, and I gave everyone the same information. With the new quote they were hundreds of dollars more than the other quotes I received, so I am not using their service. I would have appreciated it if someone would have taken the time to quote it accurately, and not try to tell me that I didn't give them the right information. I even tried to change the order, they wanted to charge $500 to look into 2 attic spaces where we have not had evidence of termites or pests. But they would not agree to change it to lower the cost and only look into the areas where we had actual concerns. Very frustrating, and lost a few days trying to set this up. read more

They did a spot treatment which was less than tenting - they were completely honest AND they let me make payment plans. I recommended them to my BF who's house We also thought had termites because a previous company said we did. We thought something was fishy because the quote was so high (17k OMG). Contacted Hi Tech Termite Control due to finding an insect that kinda looks like a termite but I wasn't sure but it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to these kinds of things. They were definitely very fast in responding and by sending them a picture to review if it was truly termite, they inspect the picture and was able to provide me with feedback on why it is not and what should I look for. I had several estimates to take care of the drywood termite colony in my wall. Note that most if not all termite companies will require their own inspection prior to providing a quote. Both for local treatment and fumigation. The first two companies I called both flaked on the first appointment. The first one showed up eventually, the second was a no call no show. He didn't even tell me it was him, and not me. The first showed up, looked at the wall and said, yup you have termites. And left. Then I called these guys. They fit me in for an inspection AND showed up for the first date! From there they spent an hour going all through the house and recommended treatment based on what they found, and it wasn't the most expensive option! It sucks and can be stressful when you find evidence of termites, but the guys and gals of Hi Tech Termite Control will make you feel better about something that's literally eating your house. read more

He recommended treatment and after having another inspection from another termite company I decided to go with Hi Tech Termite Control. They explained very well about termites, treatment, etc and gave me a quote. I recently bought my home and the seller had a termite inspection done by another company. The inspector recommended fumigating the entire house. At first, I was happy with the service with Ben, the inspector and applicator Jarel. After the treatment, I found a beetle in the living room. 10/10/2022, I texted Ben, the inspector. He said I should contact his office. I called his office. The staff Benedet told me to call Ben. I asked Ben if Office will be assigning the same inspector to client? Ben texted me, "Yes". He asked me to call office to set up an appointment. 10/11/2022, I called office again. Benedet repeatedly put me on multiple holds. She said she will be sending Quality Control staff and not be sending inspector Ben. She asked me which day works for me then she put me on hold over and over. I told her I am available on Thursday. I asked her the name of quality control person. She said she would not know until Thursday morning. 10/13/2022, Hi Tech Termite did not send an inspector or quality control staff instead Benedette sent an applicator Jarel. When Jarel arrived, both of us confused. I called and asked Benedette where is Quality control staff? She said I did not want Quality Control? I asked her why would I do that ? when it is your company warranty to send the quality control staff to inspect any active beetles. Jarel also told me that he is not an inspector and not quality control staff. His role is spraying any infected area. I called and asked Benedet. She raised her voice, talked over me, cut me off and argued that I did not want quality control staff. I texted Ben, "I can't have a normal conversation with Benedet". She is very aggressive and rude over the phone". Later, I called Ben if he can provide a picture of wood boring beetles since he claimed to be an inspector for a very long time. He said he did not have any beetles picture to show me. I asked where can I take this beetle to have it identify. He said I don't know although he was the one who completed his inspection report with Agriculture Department (Identify any insects) phone number. I feel they ignore the warranty because I have already paid for the service. They want to dismiss the warranty. 10/19/2022, I texted Ben for his explanation why he did not know Agriculture Department can identify insects. He gave me many excused then insulted me that I try to put him in the corner. He texted me, "Jarale re-sprayed the area". I told Ben, "Jarel did not re-spray the area". I have more concerns now. Ben said that's why you have issue with Benedet. Now, I realized this company has major issues with effective communication such as Office staff Benedet VS Inspector/Quality Control staff/applicator are not communicating to each other. Benedet could not set up an appointment between Quality Control staff and me. She lied to Ben that I declined Quality Control staff. It just absurd. Why would any clients decline the warranty services? First, I thought I will refer this company to many people. After this experience, I don't think I can recommend to anyone. Benedet has horrible communication style and hot temper. She has not allowing me to complete my sentence then put me on multiple holds. The applicator Jarel is awesome and super nice. Inspector Ben acts like he is hiding the information (Wood boring beetle image and Agriculture Department = education) from clients because of the warranty. I wish I do not have to post this. Agriculture Department sent out a beetle to lab in Sacramento. Hopefully, it is not wood boring beetle. I will have to make more calls. read more

Very progressional!! Steve came out on a weekend and did a thoroughly in depth inspection for termites. Checked the attic and gave me a review of his findings. The inspector was knowledgeable of the different types of termites and possible treatments. He took his time to educate and inform me of the process it would entail. He followed with a written report with an estimated quote on Monday. The inspection and quote were free. The quote was reasonable and they won my business. Another company tried to tell me they could cut costs but when bugs are eating away the foundation of your home it's better not to cut corners. They hit a water pipe when they were doing the subterranean termite work but sent a plumber to fix it and remedy the problem. I'm leaving an update because I'm so impressed with the way Rene and Hi Tech handled our recent issue! We just installed a French Drain which means that the contractors dug a four foot deep trench around our entire house. So, all the termite treatment that Hi-Tech had put around the house last Fall was totally removed and had to be replaced. We called Rene and not only did he come and re-treat the our house, but he also worked with our contractor's schedule to do his treatment on the least disruptive, most beneficial day possible. We can't emphasize enough how great it is to work with Rene, who is a true professional! He really is the best in the business. While someone else could've recommended a full fumigation, the inspector, Jim was honest about not needing one right away and recommended us to do a local treatment instead. Hi Tech was the third company that came to investigate our drywood termite problem. They were also the only company that didn't recommend we gas our house to get rid of them. Rather, they recommended that we locally treat the problem and thought that tenting the whole house was completely unnecessary. We decided to use Hi Tech to locally treat the infestation and I'm SO HAPPY that we did! The termites had not moved very far and local treatment worked really well! I am very happy with all my encounters with Hi Tech Termite Control thus far. The inspection appointment took place at the time specified; Jim was very professional and knew a lot about construction. He gave me a bid without any pressure. I contracted with Hi Tech for full treatment and three year warranty. I called and scheduled an appointment for today. I was told they will be here between 9:30 and 10:00AM. Hi Tech called me yesterday to remind me. Rene and Jerol showed up on time this morning. They were very professional and very pleasant. They explained all the work that they were going to do and went about doing it. They sprayed under the house and in the attic. They also drilled holes in the wood floor where the infestation was obvious and sprayed under the floor through the holes. They drilled holes in the walls and looked for termites; they sprayed in there as well even though there was no termites. If rene and Jerol are examples of Hi Tech Termite Control culture and training, then they have good reasons to be proud. We had previous inspections done by other termite companies prior to going with Hi tech and Steve was by far the best. False advertisement. No free inspection. Waste of time, reached out to them this morning. They wanted us to pay $300 to inspect two townhouses of about 1200 sqft each. What a joke. Don't advertise free inspection if you will try to charge $300. Edit: Jeff, I appreciate the response but that was not how the conversation went with the woman who answered the call. I initially requested inspection of all 7 units for preventative measures because we are aware or one unit having an active issue. She said there would be a fee. I then suggested we narrow the scope to just the one unit and the adjacent unit which I suspect has an issue, and asked whether that would allow for the inspection to be free. She went away to discuss with someone and came back saying it would be $300 to inspect those two units alone. Again, your website advertises free quote. If there are caveats about your offer, these should be displayed in a clear manner so that consumers are not misled. Perhaps it was an issue of miscommunication but that's what it was. read more

It was September 2015 when we first contacted Hi Tech termite when we discovered some dark brown particles on the floor of our master closet space. Then I noticed there were two small holes in the wall about 3 feet above the particles. After searching online, I found out that this was caused by drywood termite. At the time, I thought my only option was to tent the house. I found Hi Tech termite control online and decided to give them a try. They came back with a thorough report and we hired them to treat the drywood termite and subterranean termites in different areas of the house (using microwave and chemicals, no tenting!) Since the treatment, we called back for our yearly free inspection and they take care of applying the chemical if any termite is found. I just had this year's service done today. The technician called 30 mins before and let me know he is on his way (early), very courteous and took care of the termite infected area. After complaining and a negative yelp review, Hi-Tech Termite came out again and after two more visits, a good job was done. I would not recommend this company to someone who is not prepared to watch them very carefully and make sure they do a good job. I hired this company to treat both subterranean and dry wood termites. The inspector came on schedule and did a thorough inspection. He was also good at answering my questions. Very good experience so far. The guys came to our house to do the final treatment as scheduled too. I am not able to judge the effectiveness since it has been only two weeks. However, they left a few noticeable scratch marks on my floor after they worked in my house. They didn't patch the dry wall either. I was disappointed about that. I recommend you bring protection of the floor if you are concerned since the works don't care in general. You should also inspect the work more thoroughly than I did. read more
