This is the most professional trustworthy shop I've ever been to and always gives me great deals and great customer service with short turnaround time. Great service and very reputable new owners. I was a longtime customer Hi-Tek and last year had new oxygen sensors put in. Unfortunately a stored inactive code was triggering my check engine light to turn on. Instead of charging me thousands of dollars in replacing parts my car did not yet need, the technicians did their due diligence and found a faulty sensor. They honored the warranty and did not charge me for the replacement or manual labor. I had searched for automotive repair shops when I first moved to OC. I'm from Northern California. Was in SoCal for work and small family trip. Car (2002 Chevrolet Suburban w 240k miles) broke down in Irvine right when we got off the freeway to grab lunch. Wouldnt restart so had car towed to our hotel. Since I wasnt familair with local shops, I looked on Yelp for a good one. Called Hi-Tek and had a good conversation with them. Had car towed to their shop the next morning. Continued the good conversation with the Hi-Tel team, they did a quick test and found it was fuel delivery related. I told them i had to get my free hotel coffee out the car and thats when they asked "Are you not from around here?" When I told them no and told them just trying to finish my family trip in Anaheim, they told me they would do what they can to find out whats wrong and fix the car for me so I can enjoy my stay. About 3 hours later I spoke with the team and they told me the fuel pump failed. They already had the new pump om the way and said my car would be done in a few hours! These guys are good! Picked up the car and was able to finish our trip and drive back to NorCal with no problem! Its been about 2 weeks now and car is all good! Couple of things about the shop - place is VERY CLEAN and WELL ORGANIZED, the entire Hi-Tek team was friendly, and they went way above and beyond to get me and my family our car back asap! I recently drove ~45 miles with my GF from DTLA to Costa Mesa to have her Audi A5 serviced by these gentlemen and I experienced for myself why she goes the lengths for Hi-Tek. Upon arrival, I saw that their service areas are "Top Top" in orderliness and cleanliness. When she and I detailed her service needs for an oil change and tire maintenance, Jose took note and also offered additional information to assure us that her Audi A5 would be well taken care of. After a 1.5-2 hour wait, it was!!! Jose and crew even identified a nail in the treads of two of the four tires and plugged them up without an additional charge. This spot is definitely a hidden gem. Been to many different shops but never been to a place so clean and tidy. Their customer service and workmanship is superb and they definitely stand behind all their job. Really liked how well they communicated with me through the whole repair process. Jose would take his time explain things in layman's terms and make sure I know everything that's being done. They went above and beyond on checking the whole vehicle. Their work is so good I bring both cars and have all my employees go to them. I've done my due diligence before coming here and found out that they are the most competitively priced. Great experience today with Hi-Tek. Brought the car in for an overheating problem, turned out to be a busted water pump. Rafael took care of it right then for an incredibly reasonable price, and was very communicative about when it would be done. He listened to my concerns about the car and did not try to tack on additional charges or unnecessary fix-ups. Additionally, he pointed out an even more dangerous situation with my front tire, which very clearly was about to blow, and he directed me to a reputable and affordable tire place just around the corner. If I could give this review a 0 I would. My dad came in because he was hearing squeaky noises on his car. We went in back about 2 weeks later complaining about the noise coming from the brakes after they had replaced front pads, front rotors, rear shoes and drums. Rafael said he had taken care of the breaks. I took my car in to herbs garage and I had to replace all my brakes again due to cheap parts, and low quality. Not the won to write bad review but stay clear and save your money and spend it else where who actually know how to fix cars. read more

My family and i have always taken our cars to this place because they were always so honest and did the jobs right and fast for a fairly good price. Till one day the key switch on my car stop working and after a couple days and more than 1k spent it was fixed ... or so we though fast forward maybe 7 months the car started having issues again with the key switch and it was progressively getting worse over the next year till one day it just didnt turn on at all, well my husband knows a guy and asks him to take a look at it , well the guy showed us the part it turns out the switch was never replaced and they just put a screw in it so that the key could turn but after it just gave it out and it just kept turning and the car would not turn on he said the screw does not belong there at all . WTH i trusted theses mechanics. Never again. read more

I came in to have my brake pads replaced. I was very specific that I did not want hard, cheap pads because they are known to squeak. I told Raphael that I specifically want a soft, high quality brake pad. Now my brakes squeak every time I press on them. When I called to ask why they used a cheaper quality pad, I was told "I don't manufacture the pads" "this is what I use" Now I am questioning every product they use to repair or maintain my car. On relocating to California a couple years ago, I learned the state deems it necessary for a smog check before I could register my vehicle. Yay. Enter Rafael and Hi-Tek. He quickly had my vehicle inspected and ready to go. I've tried to support independent mechanics whenever possible, so decided to return here when my brakes needed to be replaced. And then they needed to be replaced again. And again. And then something else needed to be fixed. And then something else. I have spent entirely too much money at this place over the past few years, but, for the most part, I consider their service worth it to keep my vehicle up and running. Rafael also takes the time to explain repairs, recommendations, etc., inviting you to see the issues with your actual vehicle rather than simply taking his word for it. There have been a few occasions that I wasn't particularly pleased with the service 100%. The same service needing to be repeated entirely too soon. On multiple occasions. Because x or y wasn't checked. Or the wrong part was used. Or whatever. My vehicle being kept days longer than advised necessary because of problems with parts or figuring out what was wrong. Despite my frustrations at times, I commend Rafael for going out of his way each and every time to do what he could to help me out whenever possible. (And thankfully those parts/services were usually under warranty.) Earlier this year (I think?), they hired a new guy who was entirely too damned chatty while I was waiting. I initially tried to be pleasant but he would not stop. Cease & desist already. I eventually walked outside to avoid him. Otherwise, Rafael, Mike, and Rafael's children have all been pleasurable during our business interactions. Overall, I am mostly satisfied with what they have been able to do to help service my vehicle over the years. I also greatly appreciate their willingness and flexibility to provide "same day" and/or Saturday services for more routine services. read more
