    HIBACHI STEAK
    Jared J.

I ordered this from door dash so I didn't get a chance to see how the service was or is the place was clean. The pork dumplings were delicious the sauce on them was amazing. The steak hibachi was good as well only down side it was a lot of onions ( I like onions).

I requested No Zucchini in the comments when ordering online. Hibachi steak and hibachi shrimp. Yum!!!

This was hands-down, some of the best hibachi takeout I've ever had in my life. The steak was extremely tender, very juicy and super flavorful. The teriyaki sauce had a nice light glaze with a sweet yet not overpowering flavor. The beef with seasoned extremely well with a nice hint of black pepper. The food overall was hands-down fantastic. The rice was your basic fried rice seasoned appropriately tasted good nice and fluffy texture. The noodles this was my first time having these kind of noodles before they were not lo mein noodles they were different, but they were seasoned with salt and it had a glaze of the teriyaki sauce, which I was fine with. Overall rating the meal 9.5 out of a 10 fantastic meal!!!! Worth the money & I will purchase again!!!

So I came here for lunch one day, it's kind of hard to get to just because of the parking situation, but Hibachi Box is totally worth it because of how much food you get! They have apparently removed the tables due to Covid so it's primarily take out/ carry out now. That said they have touch screens for you to order and customize your dish. They had many options for meat eaters and a veggie hibachi! My only criticism would that it would be nice to have tofu instead of just adding an egg to the veggie dish as your only protein option. Regardless, the veggies were awesome! They were all very fresh and the teriyaki sauce they were stir fried in was great. It came with both rice and noodles so you could get both, so if you're super hungry or a person on a budget, this is a great place to come since it's a lot of food!

I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and the salmon hibachi. Portions are pretty generous. It came with rice, and noodles, and a side of veggies (mushroom, onions and zucchini). The steak was pretty good. The salmon was really dry. The shrimp was alright. Everything was super salty, even without the addition of the sauces. The wait was pretty long, even after they said around 30 minutes, it wasn't ready for like 35+ minutes.

I've already had a full meal and this is what was left!

So I'm in the area for an event and wanted to grab something under $20 and filling. I pretty much played Russian roulette and landed on this spot. Parked up, placed my order at the kiosk, super convenient. Got steak hibachi w/ chicken, rice, noodles, zucchini, onions and a salad...sounds hefty but I was sure it would be a reasonable size. Boy was I surprised to see how much was in the damn bowl! Legitimately could eat a good 3-4 meals off this. And you know sometimes when they give you too much food, it's because it's straight up lacking in flavor. Not the case here, the steak and chicken were seasoned and I'm a fan of the teriyaki sauce. If I'm ever in Richmond again, I'll definitely be back!

This place is great for any meal. Tons of food in every box. Literally my only complaint is that there's no seating anymore. So plan to take and eat elsewhere.

Are you a fan of that comfort Asian takeout food? This place is for you. I scarfed down my meal so fast. I got the shrimp hibachi. I will say that the box is seasoned with a good amount of salt and pepper (especially pepper). The fried rice and noodles are sooo good. I really like how they have it separated with the protein on top of the fried rice and the mix of stir fried veggies on top of the noodles. There is so much in that bowl! The shrimp is so tasty and I was very satisfied. Highly recommend for comfort food and a hearty meal. I enjoyed how you could choose two different sauces, which honestly weren't even needed due to how tasty the food was without them. But I enjoyed the teriyaki and the yum yum sauce! Ginger sauce is what is given as seasoning for the salad so it's not necessary to order as a side sauce unless you love it. Highly recommend this place!

Food was great, portion size was also. It was awesome to find a take out hibachi restaurant while visiting Richmond. You get rice, noodles, veggies, meat of your choice, and also a nice little side salad and for the price that's amazing. Our order was exactly as ordered and most importantly taste great.

Luckily Lee is open until 9 PM, and I have been meaning to try this place on the recommendation of many friends. When we got there, the drive-through line wrapped around the parking lot, when we walked in, the one inside was equally long. They were so busy that they had to pause orders for a little bit, but the major hold up was with the wings. The way the counter was incredibly nice and helpful. When we told her it was our first time, we ended up deciding to get the chicken tenders and the eight piece family meal. Because we opted to not get the wings since we were hungry, our food came out very quickly. They were kind enough to also include an extra piece in both! The size of the pieces were also very generous, and between the three of us, we had plenty of leftovers. The chicken itself was crispy and delicious, and I loved the wide variety of sauce options that they had. the potato wedges were also great, though I found the mac & cheese and green beans a little bit forgettable. The cashier had told us that the apples were one of her favorite signs, and they were definitely delicious! I would love to come back and try the wings, though I'll know in the future to not order quite as much!

The heat was perfect, the coating crispy, and the wedges were always on point. I couldn't come to Richmond without grabbing spicy wings. So when the owner decided to stop making the spicy wings and convert the fry station to breast strip fryers, that was it for me. That spicy recipe was the reason I came. Without it, this just isn't the same place. I won't be back unless the spicy chicken makes a return.

You can make your burger the way you want it-- no weird sauces or frills (unless you want), just a delicious tasting burger with a varied menu . my burger: well done, pepper jack cheese, grilled jalapeños, mayo and lettuce. Fresh off the grill flavor with a bun that is warm and lightly toasted (cold buns wreck a burger) and tastes good. Fries are browned with skin on--yum -- a perfect crisp, and salted just right. For me, better than Five Guys. A surprising treat as I generally don't expect much when it comes to fries-- hit or miss. These were great! Onion rings are crisp and not anemic- looking or at all soggy. I have eaten at Beavine (over salted yuk), Burger Bach --expensive and w/sauces that don't belong on a burger. I've done Burtons Grill-- unimpressed, expensive--their bernaise sauce overpowered the burger and made the entire thing soggy. Smash Burger, shake shack, etc., (unimpressed). I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

It was pretty, but not worth the money. The food also was really average, but the portion sizes were good for sharing. We walked in to find the staff bustling, cooking, and prepping orders, and the smell of some delicious fried chicken in the air. I saw the kiosks and was not too thrilled with the Wawa experience, but we gave it a shot anyway, since fried chicken is one of our favorites. The process was simple and allowed us to add or remove anything we could want, so that was nice. While walking to find a seat, we saw a person panhandling in the dining area, but the staff promptly removed him from the premises. I ordered us the Pimento Cheese Balls for an appetizer, and I chose the Fried Chicken and French Toast as my entree because I always try the "chicken and waffles" at every establishment that offers it. My partner ordered the OG Chicken Sandwich without tomato, and it came with crinkle-cut fries. It was about $40. The chef proclaimed our order was ready in quick succession, maybe three orders behind the guests before us. We waited about ten minutes, maybe fifteen at most. We picked up the orders from the counter, and there was a mix-up on the syrup, but the chef promptly rectified the situation. He was a no-nonsense kind of guy; straight to the point. He seemed firm, yet kind. It was clear the day had been a busy one; he even told us as much, which was great to hear (busy = fantastic food). The French toast squares looked like rye or pumpernickel, and they emitted a sweet aroma, a delightful hit of cinnamon and brown sugar. I drizzled the caramel syrup on my chicken and toast, sliced a piece, and paired a bite of chicken with the toast. I closed my eyes to savor the flavors: the toast was crunchy and almost gooey (yet, not overly so), the chicken was crunchy, the sweet cinnamon-y flavors from the toast, the caramel from the syrup, and the tender, moist chicken were a match made in culinary art. I cannot sufficiently describe the French toast in a way that would do it justice; it was crunchy and semi-gooey, and all scrumptious. I can only say it was the single best French toast that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Next, I tried the fried pimento cheese balls. Oh my. If you like mozzarella sticks, try these. I adored them: elevated fried cheese, for real. My partner enjoyed her sandwich as well; she ate everything except some of her fries. I saved half of my chicken and toast for today because I am like a treasure golem when it comes to delicious leftovers. I am going to air-fry the chicken and skillet-heat the toast back to its original goodness. I told the cooks that that was the best French toast that I have ever had, and I mean it. Do yourself a favor and try it if you're into French toast. This one is the GOAT. Side note: I spoke with the head chef outside, and he is from another branch (possibly Henrico?) to whip this location back into shape. Two words: "Nailed it."
