    Pozole sides

If you're craving authentic pozole this is your spot! I love that they had the meat on the bone. The soup is a bit spicy which I loved but my kids couldn't handle it unfortunately. I like that the soup is more on the thicker side and not watery. It was door dashed and arrived hot! Perfect Sunday morning pick me up!

Good things first- it filled me up perfectly and the ingredients seemed good quality. Also the price was very reasonable as well! I ordered the bean cheese and cheese burrito as well as a carnitas taco. Ok bad things- I did order the taco with no onions and still received them so that sucked. I also didn't love the salsa from the taco bar or the one they placed in my bad at least. That being said, I will probably revisit in the future. It was close to where I live and I like trying different taquerias often

I love this little gem! Food is so yummy! Service is quick and my server this evening has been so kind. Just what I needed today.

The best carnitas tacos in town! And the green salsa with the chips is also amazing!

This place is amazing! Very clean friendly family owned business the service was great. The food is also amazing I had two carnitas tacos and a burrito all where amazing the prices are very fair and for the quality of food you get very worth it. This is one of Livermore's best kept secrets. The sign is correct the best carnitas in Livermore!

Excellent food. Salsa and chips were homemade, and chicken quesadilla was tasty. Prices were fair. Friendly service.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

Unfortunately, the food experience didn't live up to the service. Charging extra for chips and salsa at what is essentially a Mexican restaurant (even if it's branded as "Southwestern") was disappointing, especially when the salsa portion was so small. Chips and salsa are such a staple that it felt out of place to pay extra for them. The biggest issue, though, was the tortillas. They weren't heated, which made them feel dry and mealy and they fell apart while eating the tacos. The steak itself was flavorful, but the tortillas made it difficult to enjoy what could have been a really good dish. I genuinely hope they make a few adjustments because the people there were fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and this place has a lot of potential.

The parking was a little weird, but I found a spot and checked it out. There was a party of 4 in front of me ordering at the counter. They serve alcohol, bottled sodas, and have a soda fountain. The place isn't fancy- pretty simple and a little dark but ok. It wasn't inviting enough to stay. The 3 guys working weren't too friendly but I wanted to try the fish taco and a shrimp taco to go. $5.75 seemed a little higher than normal for a taco but I figured the serving may be bigger than most places. After 10 minutes, I picked up my to go order on a paper plate with tin foil which made me chuckle. The fish taco was very good- great flavor, tender fish perfectly cooked. I'd rate it a 5/5. The shrimp taco was much smaller which was odd, but the flavor was also very good. The photo reflects a pretty small taco- and it definitely wasn't worth the price. 2/5 for the price. I would go again for fish tacos if I wanted food to go with no frill.

For the size, amount of food and flavor, you cannot beat their prices. I've grabbed burritos from them several times now and we have consistently enjoyed them. While I've done takeout, they do provide the opportunity to sit inside. Don't be fooled by their location; seriously a hidden gem. If you're in the mood for a quick bite, check them out!!

I had the pollo asado, which I thought was quite good. Overall, the food was solid and satisfying, even if it wasn't especially memorable compared to some other Mexican restaurants we've visited. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience. This is certainly not a place to avoid--we had a good meal and a pleasant visit. It just didn't stand out enough to become one of our personal "must-go" spots. It did feel overpriced for what we got.

I'm not sure what is happening with Casa Orozco. First of all, I want to say myself Nd my family…read morehave been fans since the very ORIGINAL Casa Orozco was in Livermore. Many birthdays and family celebrations have taken place here over the years and one of the family favorites has always been their chips and salsa. We love it so much that often when we are making our own Mexican food at home, we will pick it up just as a side for the dinner. However, the last 6 times (not kidding) I have come and asked for the MILD chips and salsa, we get home and it is the super hot version. Now I'm not a complainer as I will eat any type of salsa, but our kids crave the mild because the hot is too much for them. One of the most common complaints among guests with Casa is that their prices don't match the quality or service. This is a perfect example. It costs nearly $20 for a bag of chips and a quart of salsa and to get home and have it been inedible for our family, is ridiculous. This has happened time and time again even after asking the hosting staff to "double check", "please make sure", "are you sure this is mild?" This obviously isn't the only issue. As many others have mentioned, food quality has gone down hill as a whole. Sometimes food seems stale or rushed. If Casa wants to remain a Livermore staple, it really needs to work on making the quality of their service match their pricing expectations. I am to the point where I guess I will have to dip a chip in the parking lot before taking it home.
