Chicken Quesadilla Ravioli with Arrabbiata sauce
    Alicia G.

The establishment is very tiny with only two tables outside to eats. However, the service was very friendly and gave great recommendations! The ravioli was DELICIOUS and probably the best I've ever had! I got the chicken quesadilla ravioli with both a red and a white sauce. Must try for lunch!

Spicy red sauce with five cheese ravioli
    Jessica M.

The ravioli here is amazing, we tried two different sauces. Both are fantastic, the spicy red sauce is our favorite! Grabbed some bread as well, delicious! The chocolate chip cookies are great too! Definitely give them a try.

Great food and great service! Lasagna is a must have along with the Sun Dried Tomato ravioli.

It's hard to find Real carbonara out anymore. I don't know if it's the eggs in there that restaurants or people are worried about it but I don't have a problem with that at all. All that said, this was a great dish. Had the chicken carbonara with fettuccini and it could not have been done better. It was a special that night and I hope the put it on the menu permanently. Drinks were good as well. I'll be back. More often if carbonara gets on the menu :-)

Service was excellent on the evening we were there. We started with the mozzarella garlic bread, appetizer with spicy sausage. It's a huge portion enough for three people easily. Very good. Salads were nice and very fresh tasting. They certainly weren't bagged lettuce as you get in some restaurants these days. For entrées, the pasta Gianni was the big hit. Great flavor and you have your option on pasta and I chose penne. For dessert we had the special cheesecake which was amazing. Prices for wine, cocktails, and food are all very reasonable. We had a really nice time.

You Make your way to the counter where the gentleman takes your order and gives you a number. We went with the Prosciutto and Hot Italian Sausage. The Prosciutto sandwich was super tasty with fresh ingredients and top tier bread. The Hot Italian Sausage was over to top and delicious. Great sausage and amazing bread with just the right amount of spice overall. The sauce they use could be a meal by itself. Super great sandwich! The whole experience was fun and we would definitely come back. Highly Reccommended!

It truly feels like you've stepped into a legit Italian market. It's packed--in a good way--but be prepared to rub elbows while you shop. If you don't have social anxiety, it's all part of the experience. We met another couple there for sandwiches, and they absolutely delivered. I had the Italian beef, which was delicious--but definitely spicy. I even asked for light peppers and it still brought some heat. So fair warning: if you're sensitive to spice, you might want to pivot to something else. My wife has been missing New Orleans, so she went with the muffaletta. Let's just say it was a much cheaper solution than flying her to the Big Easy. No gumbo on the menu, but the sandwich hit the spot. After we ate, we did a little shopping and grabbed some fresh Italian ingredients imported straight from Italy--which is always a win in my book. Great food, great vibe, and a true Dallas institution. We'll definitely be back.

Spicy Rigatoni 8/10: It says spicy in the name but I did not expect it to be spicy each time I took a bite, lol. Very delicious and addicting! Sauce is savory with some sweetness. Chicken Pesto 9/10: I am addicted to these pasta shapes and textures! It was truly so delicious with good amounts of shredded chicken and the toppings are delicious. I had them as leftovers as well and they did not disappoint! Calamari 8/10: These are crispy and the calamari is fresh, good sauces, juicy lime, and some sour vegetables on the side. Very delicious appetizer! Truffle Bread 7/10 : So delicious! It came with some cream spread on top and the bread is fluffy but crispy, with a cheese and a nice truffle taste! Lasagna 6/10 : This portion is definitely a bit smaller and I would say it's a good ol' lasagna. Nothing special except for the sheets which were thin and fresh, and the sauce is a bit salty. Tiramisu 10/10: This was so delicious! It came with some crispy chocolate toppings and it wasn't too strong but definitely so delicious, would recommend. Other things I did not take pictures of: Meatballs 7.5/10: Very delicious with a nice tomato sauce and they are some standard meatballs. I would recommend you try something new instead of just the meatballs. Bread with Olive Oil + Balsamic Vinegar 8/10: Again, crispy but fluffy bread, balsamic vinegar was acidic but sweet, smooth olive oil. 10/10 Service! They were very accommodating to our large party and celebrated my cousin's birthday. Nice vibes inside and outdoor seating, and I like how the outdoor seating was covered and not fully outdoor.

Me and my family ordered our food, but the noodles were extremely undercooked and very hard. The manager never came by to check on our order, and we still had to pay the full amount despite waiting an extra 20 minutes for our food. We also received no replacement waters until almost the time we asked for the check. To make matters worse, the extra water came with a gnat in it. It was a frustrating experience, and it was crazy for us to pay full price for the food and service we received.

The meatballs were very succulent, bathed in a tomato gravy that you'd want to lick every drop of from the plate. The focaccia, on the other hand, had a pillowy interior, and the crust almost seemed caramelized, with a slight sweetness that paired nicely with the tartness of the tomato gravy. For our main course, we ordered the Cacio e Pepe, Spicy Gemelli, Pesto Rigatoni, and Bolognese--all were phenomenal. Then, to cap things off, we had a dreamy gelato, with a cloud of whipped cream, topped with pistachio and drizzled with olive oil. Service: Great! What you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. It always makes me feel like I'm back home in a way. I had a glass of Chianti and we started with the focaccia with whipped ricotta. We both chose pasta dishes, I had the spicy gemelli and bestie had the bolognese which he didn't seem to like much but when I tried it I thought it tasted great. I don't care for a lot of meat sometimes so I wouldn't have ordered it as my main but it really complimented the spicy gemelli - perhaps going halfsies would have been a nice option. Service was attentive and our dishes came out fast, we sat indoors beside the bar but the patio could have been a really nice option if you're a patio person. I typically am not. I have yet to find a Dallas Italian spot that I love more than my current no.1 back home (Donna's on Sunset in LA) but this meal was delish and I wouldn't rule out dining here again in the future.

Seems to be a common theme in Dallas to put parties of 2 in the corner to be forgotten about. That being said, we had great service, even in the corner! However, the quality has changed significantly in the last few years it seems. I was here with my partner yesterday before we went shopping. We've both worked in the service and food industry, so I'm just hoping I can highlight some constructive feedback. I want to emphasize that while the ingredient quality has taken a downward shift, the staff is still on point (i do have some feedback for our waiter but I will get back to this) -The mixed drinks were perfect. Presentation was nice and they were well balanced - despite the lackluster ingredient quality, I can tell that whomever was in the kitchen was doing the best with what they had. I am gluten free, and usually when ordering pasta somewhere they come out mushy. However, my noodles were cooked to perfection, same with my chicken. There was just something about the sauce that tasted like it wasn't fresh, which tells me that the ingredient quality is going down. This isn't the fault of the kitchen staff-- this is a corporate issue, and I will not fault them for that. - the bread was entirely too salty for every day folks. Look, I love salt, I crave salt, but my partner said it was like biting into a salt lick. I tasted the butter and it was almost too salty for my taste, which tells me it's too salty for most people. - my partner ordered the wagyu stuffed shells. I have the same feedback for the sauce that I gave for my sauce before-- it just wasn't fresh. There was something about it that was just not reflective of my previous experiences with Maggiano's. The meat was incredibly greasy and overall it was just not visually appetizing. In terms of taste, the description said "spicy" and it definitely wasn't spicy or even close. My partner just described an overabundance of onion flavor. - In terms of our waiter, she was nice enough, but I did notice a pattern I'd like to address. We saw the wait staff that day- making rotations, circling the dining area and checking on their tables. However, we didn't notice this with our waitress. In fact, any time we asked for anything it took 20min before we would see her again. For example, it took 20 minutes after we received our bread before we received water. We were seated right after another party and they received drinks, their food, and bill before we even saw our appetizer. They were being attended by a different waiter, which tells me there is room for improvement. -Our total bill with tip came out to about $135 dollars. I don't mind paying good money for food, but for the quality the price is a bit insulting. I understand that things are getting more expensive lately, I really do. However, as a long time customer I wouldn't mind if your prices increased if it meant retaining your quality. Otherwise, i may as well go elsewhere in the meantime.
