The lasagna is to die for. Ask for it and extra crispy! Wonderful ambience. A local staple at Sunder Plaza. Perfect date night.

Location North Dallas, Highland Park area. Parking Street-spaces marked for restaurant. Atmosphere Cozy Italian restaurant Seating Booths, tables Service Outstanding! Attentive, friendly. Menu Special menu, appetizers, salads, pasta, meats, chicken, lamb. Complimentary toasted bread with fresh butter. The starter salad portions were generous. Caesar salad had fresh Parmesan, lite dressing, yummy croutons. The house salad also very tasty-excellent light vinaigrette. We had the pasta carbonara-huge portion! Very flavorful. The eggplant parmesan came with a pasta marinara side. So many slices of eggplant! Perfect sauce-tomatoey without too much salt. Really good. Desserts were very tempting. Great wine and cocktail selection. They offer wine tastings on occasion. Summary Our daughter suggested a meet up at this historic Italian restaurant and we are so glad she did! What a great restaurant-nice location, easy parking, welcoming atmosphere, tempting menus, outstanding service. We'll be back soon!

Came here tonight for dinner for the first time and it was fantastic. We have been meaning to come here for years! One of my girlfriends raved about it and every time we drove by it was packed. What a perfect Italian neighborhood gem. We already can't wait to go back! From our server to the host, all of the staff were so beyond nice I can't say enough good things. The food was delicious and just such a perfect local spot. We can't wait to become regulars.

A gem. Absolute incredible italian spot with delicious dishes! Ambiance was relaxed but still lively. Not too bright or loud, great service. Excellent for families, kids, smaller crowds, date night! I will be back.

It was graduation weekend and Snider Plaza was packed. We ducked in to Amore and were graciously given seats even though the place was packed. One of my absolute favorite places and once again it shined. Lobster Ravioli, Manicotti and minestrone soup. Exceptional. Service was top notch, ambiance great and the whole experience once again showed why Amore is my go to place for Italian.

Its grand signage stands prominently right by the roadside an absolute beacon that looked like a true culinary gem. Now, my original agenda for the evening had actually involved a casual Tuesday taco, but my coworker insisted I pivot to fine Italian cuisine instead. What a marvelous recommendation that turned out to be! While the establishment offers lovely outdoor seating, I chose to dine indoors. One might note that the bustling kitchen and host area felt a touch unkempt in the evening rush, but the venue boasts a rather fabulous bar and an undeniably interesting decor that quickly commands your attention. I was escorted to a wonderfully private, intimate table where my waiter greeted me with the utmost warmth and professionalism. To commence the evening, I opted for their signature Italian Martini and it was an absolute triumph. A perfect choice. For my main course, I selected the Spicy Gemelli pasta. The kitchen's timing was impeccable; precisely fifteen minutes later, the dish was presented at my table. It was divine the flavor profile, the immaculate service, and the sophisticated ambiance were all utterly perfect. I am so thoroughly pleased I made the detour tonight. Full marks, without question

The restaurant was very busy, the acoustics made it had to have a conversation and hear each other. Food was wonderful, I had the chicken Parmesan on recommendation from our server and it was phenomenal. Others in our party enjoyed their food as well.

I have plenty of parking in the back. Ordered the chilled crab claw appetizer and the portion was very generous. The crab meat was a bit firmer and drier than I expected, though that may simply be due to it being served chilled. Overall, we enjoyed it. For entrees, we shared the casino linguine vongole (clam pasta)- they split this on 2 plates for us, and chicken parm vodka (forgot to take a photo). Both were very good! We couldn't finish the entrees and so we put them in to-go boxes. I feel like they tasted even better the next day, lol. Service was great!

Wow. Worst service ever. Our waiter "greeted" our table with "shall I get you a bottle and five…read moreglasses?" Presumably meaning wine, but we were considering cocktails and a bit confused by the question. He said "I'll come back when you're ready," and disappeared for the first of many long absences. From the beginning it felt like we were ruining his life. He was cheerless and curt and wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. It would be more understandable if the restaurant was super busy or understaffed. But this was Monday at 6 pm. We listed a birthday on the reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged. Why bother to ask if we are celebrating? We waited for empty plates and glasses to be cleared between courses. We waited a long time for him to return so we could order a second glass of wine. Even longer for the plates to be cleared and longer still for the opportunity to order dessert...a piece of cake for the birthday girl and two after dinner drinks...but the drinks weren't picked up from the bar when the cake was delivered, and only remembered when we asked for the check. We watched him pick them up (well after the cake was consumed) on his way to leave the bill. No mention that they had been overlooked, no thank you, no good night. This was our first time at Barsotti's and it will be our last. Aside from the awful service, we had issues with the food as well. The veal was pounded paper thin and fried hard resulting in a tough, chewy texture similar to dried beef or jerky. It was dry and overcooked on two different dishes. On a more positive note, we enjoyed the fried ravioli appetizer and the redfish was fine. While our waiter was largely MIA and unpleasant when he did show up, the bus boy/assistant was gracious and attentive. Maybe he was trying to compensate for his colleague. BTW, the offensive employee was in his late 40s to mid 50s with a slight build and salt and pepper hair.
