Had a layover in Chicago and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before my next flight. I decided to grab a personal pizza from Home Run Inn. You are at the airport, so expect to pay a little bit more lol. I ordered the meat lovers. You place your order on the self serve kiosk and it took about 15/20 minutes to receive my pizza fresh from the oven. The pizza wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the best pizza I've ever had. Let's just say it served its purpose in the moment of starvation lol. I would order here again when I'm back at Midway.

For prepared pizza, it wasn't bad. It was convenient and easy to grab and go to my gate. Cashier was attentive and the pizza was decent,

The pizza wasn't bad but it wasn't that good but.....it was close to my departure gate. I'd hoped for a slice of real good Chicago deep dish and didn't have time to go find it. I ordered the personal meat lover style but this was more of a frozen pie from the grocery store. The service was good but in a pinch and when you haven't eaten for several hours then belly up the counter and get a personal pie for like $20. Cold beer here and MALORT on shelf.

This pizza was not bad, but isn't was that good either. I would choose a different place to eat in the airport. The kids would probably love it, but if looking for good quality pizza...... This is not it. Service was very friendly and they have a few seating areas , which is nice. Maybe some of there other menu items might be worth a try!

The service was great and the waitress super nice and friendly. Since I was looking to eat a salad before my flight, I should have read reviews for Home Run Inn before I sat down to eat. I ordered the Harvest Salad, no blue cheese, no protein. The salad arrived quickly with a healthy portion of.....wait for it.......BLUE CHEESE. The greens, a mix of iceberg and field greens had slight browning along knife cuts making for a visually unappealing mix. If you looked at it casually and not too close from a distance, it may look fine. But I would not serve this salad to a good friend or family. There was however a healthy mound of craisens. There was also, how should I say it, a generous portion of strawberries that were not fresh. Some of the slices so soft they smooshed. I assume they must have been around the kitchen a while, and hey, it's Chicago Midway International Airport in mid-October. I'll admit it. I had unrealistic expectations. The sliced almonds were fine. The poppy seed dressing was unusually gloppy but tasted fine. The waitress noticed how I was picking at the first iteration of the Harvest Salad that arrived with the blue cheese and noticed immediately the problem. I also let her know that the salad was not very fresh. She said "Give that back to me. You're paying good money for that salad." The second iteration arrived as described above. Her heart and head were in the right place but alas this kitchen disappoints. Now I assume if you are having a pizza, burger, beer etc. it's probably fine. So, I'm still searching for a fresh healthy preflight meal at Midway. Will it ever happen?

Cheese pizza- meh I'd go somewhere else

Pizza was not very good. It's not horrible but just very cheap tasting and basic. Good for kids I would say. Very quick service but just not worth it. The cheese pizza cost $12 but I'd say that's on par with airport prices.

Boneless wings (10 pcs.) - this one was doused in buffalo sauce with a side of ranch dip.

At the airport, waiting for my connecting Southwest flight, I neither had an appetite for something heavy, nor did I want to get sucked into expensive airport food so I walked around and spotted this place. It has a bar area if you have time for a drink and some finger food, this is the spot in Concourse B. There's also pizza and chicken wings to-go. This day, I opted for the boneless wings version, buffalo sauce and a ranch sauce on the side. It did the job nicely. No superlatives or long narratives here--just food that is good enough to satiate a tiny craving. Maybe I'll sit at the bar next time since it looked busy. Not bad.

It isn't cheap, but it's the airport, so that's to be expected. The salads and bubbly were quite good and the staff was friendly and efficient.

gross, came out to me in less than two minutes

By far the worse food I've had at any airport. Salad has rotten strawberries and apples. How is this place even in business? Never again.

The reason this lounge was designed as such a large space is due to the fact that there's a lot of people in here. That's just something to keep in mind as a basis for your understanding. In terms of design, this lounge has various types of seating. They have the more comfortable chairs located throughout the various rooms at this lounge. They also have numerous seats that are associated with tables. This is probably best for people like myself, who enjoyed grabbing a quick snack, and having a drink, before it's time to board the aircraft. They also have long desks with charging ports set up for those who want to get some work done. Plus, there are some self-standing seats spread out throughout the lounge area. In terms of food offerings, they have food buffets on two ends of the lounge. Both of these buffets offer a unique blending of Quick-Food, as I like to call it. Is pretty good. I will say, that I've never been disappointed in what they offer. You can always find something to suit your pallet. In terms of drinks, they have drink offerings at both ends of the lounge, as well, in association with the food buffets. There, you can get your expected soft drinks, coffee, and water. If you want alcoholic beverages, you have to go down to the one end of the lounge, where they have a bar. There, they generally have two bartenders. Each of which is happy to give you whatever you want. They often mix drinks, beers, wine, and all that kind of stuff. Many of the drinks are all free. But, if they are, be sure to throw the bartenders a tip. I think that's an important gesture. Some people decide to sit along the bar while they enjoy their drinks. I guess they are just type of people who enjoying hanging out at bars. I don't find out all that comfortable, or appealing, as you're basically elbow-to-elbow with somebody, you don't really know. But, that's just my personal opinion. If I have one complaint about this lounge, it's the fact that it's not really set up for the first class domestic passengers on United. Whereas, is you are flying internationally on United, they use the Star Alliance lounges that are specifically designed for its first and business class passengers. In terms of this lounge, pretty much anybody can get into it, simply by paying a sixty dollar fee. Thus, you get a whole lot of people, Just overwhelming space, without a lot of decorum. Overall, I've been in much better lounges, and I've been in a lot worse lounges around the globe. There's not much to complain about this place, you just have to expect that there's gonna be a lot of people. I have seen it at times midday, when people can't even find a single seat to sit in. So, just keep this in mind.

There are lots of chargers in and around the seating area. I also appreciated the ambient lighting. As for the lunch spread, there were two soups to choose from, salad fixings, chicken marsala, penne pasta, mini deli sandwiches, charcuterie board of cheeses and meats, and desserts (cookies, brownies, mousse cups). Drinks included a soda machine, lots of different hot tea to choose from, iced tea pitcher, coffee machine and a full serve bar. You can get complimentary drinks at the bar, but we skipped this. Also, the hot dog cart was out, so if you're in the mood for a Chicago hot dog, this is your spot. The bathrooms were very clean, stocked with fancy soap (Grown Alchemist) and tissue boxes. My husband even opted to sign up on the app to take a shower. He said he felt completely relaxed and ready for the trip home after that. If you've got access to this lounge, I highly recommend it. It totally changed my flying experience to a more zen one this weekend.

Like many others I typically fly during the holidays/summer, and the few places in concourse B are always super crowded. For some reason concourse A is just that much quieter. Halsted St. Tap is great because it's not too deep into concourse A, yet it's so much less hectic than the center food court restaurants and the few sitdown places in concouse B. It's a big space with tables, high seats along the walls, and a decently sized bar. A nice number of options of bottles but not many drafts. Full bar. Friendly, fast service. They do card *everyone* - there's even a sign that says so - so don't be taken aback. I heard a lot of "what...?" as I sat there. Of course they scrutinize some more than others. They don't serve food. The most they have is some chips. But if you're having a drink there you are apparently welcome to bring food over and eat it there (ie Manny's next door). Plus, drinks are surprisingly not too overpriced o.O; I mean, for airport they are only marginally more expensive/pretty neck and neck with Chicago bars and restaurants.

The first impression was nice, calm, and professional in appearance. The seating was nicely laid out, plenty of different areas. There were kids and they were well-mannered. They have a champagne and wine bar here - though not as nice as many other first class lounges, it was a nice offering and the brands were very nice too. They also offered a fun bloody mary bar which was self-service. This was really interesting as they offered so many things one could put in their bloody mary.
