This review is based on Service Department experience. I made an appointment for 9:15 am on Saturday due to a creaking noise coming from my 2024 CR-V Hybrid driver door interior trim along with tire recall via online. I arrived at 9:15 am to find myself waiting 30 minutes until a Service Advisor was able to attend to me. What's the point of an appointment if I have to wait 30 minutes just to be heard? Service Advisor eventually approached me and I explained the reason for my visit (FYI, no self introduction or anything!). The car was left with the dealer to hopefully address the cause of the noise. She informed me that they'll need it until 2 pm since this is a rare issue. No problem! Left the dealer thinking I should get either an estimate or update by latest 2 pm. (Still no name of the advisor, no paper work stating the work to be performed or even a business card). I thought all my info is on their system and should be reached when ready. 2 pm, NO update, email, phone call or text. Ok, maybe it's taking longer. 3 pm, NO update, email, phone call or text. 3:07 PM, I got a text from the Service Advisor, finally discovering advisor's name (Leslie), and informing me that she'll provide update shortly. I replied please provide an update and ZERO reply. 4 pm, NO update, email, phone call or text. Now I am little annoyed so I decided to call them and get update myself just to be forwarded to a voicemail by the receptionist. 4:30 pm, NO update, email, call back or text. I called them again myself to be forwarded to a voicemail again. 4:45 pm, NO update, email, call back or text. Receptionist informed that there are ZERO Service Advisor available and the best I can do is to wait or call back again. This is Saturday so the Service Dept. close at 5 pm and I live 15 minutes away. 4:57 pm, I finally get a call back from Leslie (Service Advisor) to inform me that the car is done and to pick up the key and invoice from the receptionist as they'll be gone by the time I pick up the car with zero explanation or apology for delayed update. When asked if the noise has been addressed, she replied that the technician looked at it and the "noise is GOING to go away" and no further description was given, PERIOD. I arrived at the dealership around 5:10 pm to find my car parked in the guest parking lot and entered the service department to pick up the key and the paper work. Leslie was getting ready to leave for the day I was lucky enough to cross path as I couldn't hold my frustration any longer and let her have it that this is unacceptable quality of service. Grabbed my keys with paper work to leave and asked her once more if the noise has been resolved. She informed that the technician removed panel, found no issue but added lubricant. Conclusion? The creaking noise is still there! Just as same as when I dropped it off. Entires Saturday wasted! ZERO update or even effort to provide it after reaching out 4 times! ZERO competency or customer service from Leslie! ZERO transparency as the paperwork from the dealer states technician comment: "No noise discovered or able to be duplicated" which can only mean no work was done, PERIOD! I would NEVER recommend Honda of Van Nuys Service Department to anyone if their goal is to get even an ounce of service. read more

Let me first start with a quick background we've done our research, knew what we wanted, went to another Honda dealer, settled numbers, and decided to not purchase because they didn't have the color we were looking for. This Honda dealership did so went tonight and was greeted by friendly Obi. He is the only reason I've given any stars in this review. Him alone it'd been a 5 star. Retain Obi he has excellent customer service skills. Obi was even kind enough to include my fiancé on the phone because he could not be there in person with me due to work and my fiancé works with numbers professionally so it was just a matter of checking out the car we wanted and closing the deal. Ready to do business, Obi calls upon his GM Brian. I was fine with that because I've closed on 5 of my own car deals before so can navigate the process. GM Brian comes over already appearing he's despondent and not interested in giving his professional customer service attention. He asks for same information again that his loyal salesman Obi has already gathered. Strategy understood. We repeat same story. GM Brian asks rudely why are you here. Repeat other Honda service did not have the car available. Refuses to share with us basic numbers. Simply asked can you match what other Honda dealership offered. He said no and got out of chair and walked away and didn't even acknowledge my fiancé who was on phone trying to talk to him. Nothing else. At that point we decided to walk away. Completely unprofessional. This is not an example you set for your staff. We would like a public apology from GM Brian and his blatant dismissal to me and my fiancé. WOW THE EXPERIENCE and service here was absolutely AMAZING!! From the moment we pulled up to the parking lot we were warmly greeted by Matt. We weren't really sure what car we were looking for we just knew we wanted a car, a better and newer car than the one we had (2002 Toyota Corolla) We first tested a Camry and then we noticed a Tesla and just out of curiosity we wanted to check it out because of the price and low mileage we figured why not try. During the whole process Matt was genuinely so kind, so patient with all the questions I had. During the whole process they worked with us with zero down and the max amount we could afford to pay a month. The Manager, Luis really worked with us with zero down and the payments we wanted and got approved. Then we moved on to finalizing and signing documents. We meet with Ross who was just as great as Matt and Luis. Ross helped us get an even better APR went from 16% down to 8% and it gets better, he extended our warranty from 1 year to 3 years with Gap insurance PLUS even lower our monthly payments. DON'T trust them to service your car at this dealership. I went to get my first free oil change to my Honda HRV 2025 and that's it. But two hours later, they returned my car and said they had also rotated my tires since they saw the car needed it. In the moment I was thankfully shocked and that it was a nice helpful surprise but once I got my car back, I noticed that my car tires looked different. I didn't say anything thinking that maybe I was just seeing things. Once I got home I checked the tires again and I should have listened to myself the first time because these were clearly not my tires. So word to the wise, take pictures of your car the moment you arrive and tell them to provide only service you requested. I will be speaking to the director of this store soon. read more

I had so so many questions and he helped answer so many, he was kind, patient, understanding, etc. Eric new every answer to ever question I had about my and multiple cars. I had gone to another Honda dealership, but I can say what won me to purchasing a car here was how much hard work Eric put in to assisting me with the right car choice, answering questions and never being too pushy! Now the reason I am giving only 2 stars was due to my experience with the finance department. I was helped by Tazz. Initially he was great, but please know that once you leave off the lot and sign their papers, he is no longer going to answer any of your calls, questions or help you. I was told I would get an email with documents and information a few days after I left, I have yet to have received anything (it's been 1.5 months). I called the office three times (spoke to the very kind office desk representatives) and left him voicemails/they notified me they would let him know I called, texted him twice, and NEVER received a response from him. He convinced me the benefits of buying the KARR SECURITY, including that if your car is broken into or if something happens to it, the app would recognize this and notify you of it to alarm you. PLEASE KNOW, after speaking to the company, THIS IS NOT CORRECT. The app only works if you are standing next to the car. I probably would have bought it anyways, but the fact that I was lied to was unacceptable. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Came in with collision /lane assist sensor issue on my 2023 Honda. When dropping my car off, I was told my warranty might not cover the service because I have a dash cam and a 1/4 inch scratch on my back bumper suggesting I might've been in a car accident. When I asked for clarification on how that's even relevant to a sensor issue, which are located on the front of the car, the advisor began raising her voice at me and acting very annoyed. Several other advisors were standing around, looking at us, and no one stepped in. This is very frustrating as all I wanted is to understand the $230 waiver I was asked to sign. Additionally, I went in two weeks ago for an Apple CarPlay issue. A different advisor kept blaming my phone, even though I showed him that neither of my personal or work phone work with Apple CarPlay. He even plugged his phone in, which also didn't work, but he kept insisting that it wasn't the car's fault. Even tried telling me that my cable ISNT the original Apple cable when it is!!! Overall a terrible experience, lots of gaslighting and attacking by the 2 advisors I had the unpleasure to meet. Time to take my business back to Galpin Honda - they would never treat a customer like that!! read more

I'd had financing and cash down ready to go for newer certified pilot. They stalled to just before weekend, then told me they knew I really wanted the car so I either had to fly down to make a deal, OR they would deal from a distance if I paid an extra $2500 to certify the car and get the advertised extended warranty! Bait and switch... when I pointed this out to the salesperson, he just said he's not the one making decisions. Bad business practices don't deserve our $$$. There are too many other places to shop.
