Without a doubt the best Chinese takeout spot in the OC! It's a small spot in Costa Mesa with a couple of tables to dine in. It looks like a small family business because every time I walk in it's the same two people working. They're super nice and are sooo generous with the portions! Absolutely delicious for Chinese takeout. I'm giving them 5 stars because on top of the taste of the food and reasonable pricing, they give you "A TON" of food! Onto the food, I ordered the following: 3 item combo, half white rice/chow mein, Orange chicken, jalapeño chicken and eggplant tofu for $13.90 2 item combo, half white rice/fried rice, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken for $11.89 1 cream cheese wontons for $5.50 This was for my husband and I along with our 2 year old son. Had I had know how much of a generous portion they'd give, I would of ordered orange chicken on my husbands combo and gotten a different side for myself, like Kung pow chicken or beef broccoli. Everything was delicious, the rice was not dry, the chow mein was moist and had the perfect texture with every bite. The orange chicken, teriyaki chicken and jalapeño chicken were on point. None of it was soggy. My surprise was the eggplant tofu, I love how it had a hint of a sweet flavor to it. It was cooked beautifully to my favorite almost creamy, melt in your mouth density with every bite. I did add some fish sauce and chili to it because I love it sweet and salty. I also appreciated how they put the 3rd item in my combo (which was the eggplant tofu) in a separate container. They have common sense and knew not to put it with the rest of my combo, so it wouldn't make the rest of my food soggy. I don't know if this happens to you, but I've noticed when I order a 3 item combo, at the other restaurants, they don't have common sense and always put my 3rd (wet or saucier) side in with my combo and my rice and orange chicken always gets soggy. So, I think I've gone on and on and if you're still reading my review and are skeptical about trying it, I say "DO IT". Get in your car and drive there or do what I did and order from them thru DoorDash. For their food price point, quality, and portion quantity, you don't have anything to loose. PS. Since the restaurant is primarily a takeout restaurant, I'll only rate the food. We have never eaten a worse meal in all of our lives.
