Took my parents here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It's a pretty busy place considering the reviews don't show it. My mom has been here several times and really loves their cooking and she's picky considering she knows how to make most of this food. This restaurant is known for their duck soup. The duck meat looks nicely cooked and tender. The flavor was amazing. Bun thit nhon was really good as well especially the egg roll. The rapper was so different from anything I've tried extra crispy! Service was fine and the place is clean and bright located in a little shopping center. That's pretty rundown. Apple parking.

Don't be discouraged by the mixed reviews, we were a little concerned at first, but we are glad we trusted our Vietnamese Daughter-in-law. This is an amazing, different-from-you-typical pho & sandwich Vietnamese food that you'd be glad that you tried! The Dac Biet dishes are make your own lettuce wraps. Fun, delicious, and healthy. Porridge was my favorite, soothing and light with lots of hidden treasures. Duck was one of their must-try specialties. Highly recommended for this popular authentic Vietnamese restaurant!

If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese steamed rice roll spot that stays open later than most, this is the place. While steamed rice rolls (banh cuon) is traditionally more of a morning to early afternoon dish, it's hard to find a spot that serves it into the evening. so the fact that they're open until 8pm is a huge plus. My parents were craving steamed rice rolls for dinner and I immediately thought of this spot. I ordered the #17 (grounded mixed pork rice roll with sliced steamed pork). The rice rolls came out soft and warm. It was super comforting and it definitely hit the spot. Service here is quick and is great if you want to dine in without a long wait. Also, it's a casual kind of place.

Hong Mai Restaurant has been around for decades. I thought it had closed permanently, but they've recently relocated. I came here for dinner on a weekday and was surprised, it wasn't as crowded as their old location in Catinat. The new restaurant is small, but there were plenty of empty tables. The food came out very quickly. I ordered Bún Vịt Xào Măng (duck with rice noodle soup, served with cabbage salad), one of their signature dishes. The duck was tender, and the ginger sauce made it even better. I requested duck legs only, but they still included some bones and wings. I also tried Cơm Tấm Bì Chả Gà Ốp La, but I don't think it's their specialty, it wasn't very good. Service was fast and friendly, and it was easy to find parking nearby.

I've been a local fan of Hong Mai since their original location. They just moved here a couple of years ago but the quality has still remained the same. I absolutely love their duck noodles! The quality of the cabbage salad is so fresh and the duck portion is generous with a lot of meat. The soup itself is very flavorful and the portion is a rather good size. Another item that I would always recommend and get myself here are the egg-rolls. They are so good and honestly I can eat the entire portion myself. Those two are the two I would highly recommend. The location is just a bit tighter than the other but it's not bad. The service was good. They were nice to bring us extra bowls and scissors for the kids without us asking. They were attentive and helped us everytime we needed anything. The bathroom was pretty clean as well.

Hong Mai - My favorite Viet restaurant for Banh Cuon ( steamed rice rolls) and Mien Vit xáo măng. Their flavors are just the same as 8 years ago. Sometimes I crave the vermicelli duck noodle and specifically the one at Hong Mai only! Clear broth, duck meat doesn't have a lot of fat and cooked well ( some place it is so dried), meat are juicy and tender. has such a comforting flavor and nostalgic vibe. Restaurant is clean and service were very nice. Even the condiments/ togo box comes along with specific nuoc mam for each dish. Would love to come back to try Bun Moc

Stopped by for lunch and was seated right away. It's a small nicely decorated restaurant. Service was good also. I ordered Thanh Tri Dac Biet, my mom ordered Bun Thit Cha Gio and my daughter ordered Canh Bun. Everything was delicious. Eggrolls were yummy. Will be back to try Bun Cha Ha Noi.

They are back!! We used to love going to their old location in Bolsa, but they re-opened here in Westminster. Their food is always on point. I go with their bun cha gio thit nuong and my wife gets their banh cuon. Can't go wrong with their bun vit either. The chili here is also very spicy. So excited to have them back.

My favorite mom&pop shop with a 2025 comeback!! Soft grand opening with their famous bun vit sao mang with mien (bamboo duck soup with mung bean noodle) and their OG rice roll items. I ordered just the soup tonight and it hit the spot, fatty duck, heart warming soup and their fragrant ginger dipping sauce was all I needed. This new restaurant location has the perfect ambiance, laid back, cozy and inviting. Looking forward to more of their menu roll out.

This is bill to show that I ate here earlier

Have been to this restaurant many times, and food is always consistent! Came visit to the restaurant last week, and ordered my favorite Grilled Escargot with Garlic Butter and Peppercorn, Grilled Scallops with Cheese, and my all-time favorite Chilean Sea Bass hot pot! The grilled escargots are a must-have when visiting this place! These are perfectly grilled with rich garlic butter for sweetness, and with a slight kick of spiciness from the peppercorn. Don't forget to also dip the escargot meat with black pepper and a few squeeze of fresh lime juice! If you like melted cheese, then the grilled scallops with cheese would be the perfect match. Each scallop is covered melted cheese and comes sizzling on a hot plate when ordered! Last but certainly not least, my favorite dish of this restaurant is the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The order comes with your own tabletop gas stove, along with a hot pot filled with a tom yum like sour soup base. For ingredients, it also includes a plate with slices of pineapple, quarter cut fresh tomato slices, fresh bean sprouts, rice noodles, and a full plate of large pieces of Chilean Sea Bass. Just put all the ingredients in the hot pot and let it cook for 5-10mins on high, I promise you it is one of the best soups you will ever have! Service is good as always. This place always seems to be busy, so you may have to be on the waitlist during certain business hours (eg holidays, prime dinner time, etc). Parking wise, the restaurant is located in a busy plaza, and so you may have to drive around a few times before finding an open spot. However as I said earlier, it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.

The standout for me, though, is their authentic Vietnamese snail dishes. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, the staff work hard to keep up with the crowds, and the service is friendly despite how busy they are.

Now about the hu tieu, which came with all the delicious bbq pork, shrimp, shredded chicken, fried garlic and onions, lightly dressed in an oh so delicious sauce. For me, the sauce was actually the star. Mix everything together and get yourself one delicious bite, filled with so much flavor. It comes served piping HOT so be careful! We also had the bun cha ha noi which is a very traditional Northern Vietnamese Nanoi dish. It has grilled pork patties and pork belly in a sweet savory fish sauce served with fresh herbs and cold rice vermicelli. You pretty much eat it by wrapping it with the lettuce or dip your noodles into the sauce. Very authentic and delicious without being overly heavy. There isn't much service here since they seem to be super short staffed but they do have delicious authentic Northern Vietnamese food so we absolutely will be back again!

They open early, making it a perfect breakfast spot for an early bowl of pho. The pho broth is exactly what I want when I'm craving comfort food--clean, flavorful, and incredibly soothing. However, the star of the meal for me was the chả giò. Wow. Although they arrived after our pho, they came out at the perfect temperature. I was hesitant to take a bite right away because freshly fried food usually burns my mouth, but these were just right. Crispy, airy, savory, and absolutely delicious.
