In town for a business meeting but wanted a treat in my last night to celebrate a successful trip. Glad I made a reservation! Very busy. Many seating options: bar, main dining room, outside. It's in a strip mall near a grocery store, so I hesitated booking a reservation but I'm so glad I did (was a recommendation from a patron where I had dinner the night before). I sat at a high top in the bar area. Very noisy even outside, so it's not a place for casual conversation at dinner. But fun decor and delicious fried flounder. Kitchen must have forgotten my ticket because other diners who arrived and ordered after I did got their food before I did. But the server was kind and I wasn't in a hurry. But let me tell you about the manager.. we were going to buy a shirt and the size was sold out so he found us another that shirt that was better and gave it to us for cheaper! Wow great service! What an amazing secret! What an amazing and spectacular venue of great FOOD, ENERGY, and CRAVINGS! I was literally sitting at work like well I have never heard of this place but I think we should go! We came here twice in one weekend. Which says a lot about a place. Our first night we came for the fire pit. The bonus was the food haha j/k. The drinks were very inexpensive which I was very surprised by. I ordered two tequila shots which were 11.00 total (after happy hour). The bartender was prompt and suggested some of the best tequila. Dinner was equally as great. I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos. For me I've never been a fish taco kind of guy but I was so impressed with the presentation that I knew it was a must to try it. The tacos were very good! The service was great as well! Brunch brunch brunch! What the food was amazing! I don't need to bore you guys with the food because if you're reading this far then you know the food is amazing. I ordered the soft shell crab Benedict's!! It was perfect! I've never had a benny quite like that before! The mimosa was free( yelp check in) but I was not inspired by it. The choice of champagne was not at all great. I had to save this for the end, our waitress (jocilyn) was not an adequate waitress at all. It was nearly 15 minutes in between check ins even though the place was not busy at all. The manager had to come check on us twice and even bring the rest of our food. She wasn't rude just wasn't very good at her job. My friend and I came out to enjoy a little girls night, and this place did not disappoint. Ive been here previously a couple years ago, and I'm happy to have returned. The menu had sooooo many options for appetizers (that they call small plates). Previously I have tried the steak bites and the crab dip with a pretzel. Both were good. This trip my friend tried the tuna bites and really enjoyed them. For entrees I got a burger and my friend had oysters Rockefeller. Neither of us were disappointed with our choice. I also tried the Key Lime Martini, which I 100% recommended trying. So good! The restaurant itself was really nice. It was clean and had great ambiance. The service was also impeccable. EXCELLENT fresh seafood. Definitely will come back here again! To start, we got the Tuna Poke and the Tsunami Tuna for appetizers. The descriptions seem very similar but the Tuna Poke comes with rice and is a little spicy, while the Tsunami Tuna is much sweeter and no rice. They both have a delicious seaweed salad and both have avocado; however, the Tsunami Tuna comes with grilled avocado: pretty much all hype and doesn't taste any different than non-grilled avocado, but the avocado definitely adds good flavor to the dish (even if it weren't grill). Whatever you decide to get, get your own, you won't want to share! For our main dishes, we got the Mahi Mahi fish tacos with black beans and rice. Everything on the dish was VERY good. I was surprised that they were able to pull off a sushi dish for an app and then a Mexican dish for the main: hats off to the chefs! We also got the Chicken sandwich that was topped with smoked Gouda and avocado which was actually pretty disappointing; should have stuck to the fish dishes. The piece of chicken was very think so it ended up being tough to eat, the cheese made everything slide off the bun, which made it difficult to eat, and the avocado was more like a spread than slices so it had a very mushy texture. I should have just got another order of the delicious fish tacos. For drinks, I had seen a picture on Yelp of a soft shell crab Bloody Mary and luckily they were able to recreate it for me. Let me tell you, they should seriously feature this drink all the time because it was soooooo good. They were out of celery for the night, but that didn't matter because the crab was so sweet and the fried outside was so tasty as well. We also got a Cherry Lime-aid crush and while it was good, I'm a little underwhelmed with the whole "crush" thing: basically a plastic kiddie cup with a ton of ice and a little juice (I expected a more elevated version at this place). But I digress, most of the food and drink were AMAZING and I will definitely visit again. Overall, regardless of the chicken sandwich disappointment, this place STILL gets 4 stars from me. Omg what a hidden gem! This place has so many options on their menu it was so hard to decide on what to get, especially since there were so many great pictures online as a reference. Tiffany was an amazing waitress & exceeded our expectations. My husband & I both ordered the Oscar Filets. When I tell you this tasted just as good if not better than Ruth's Chris. The mixed corn veggies that came with it, paired perfectly & the garlic potatoes are to die for. We also tried the calamari which is the best that I've ever had. The batter was so fresh, well seasoned, & the perfect amount of crunch. I wish this establishment was closer because I would eat here more frequently. I came here for a rehearsal dinner a few weeks back. Our party of 20 plus was seated in the private room towards the back and it came with our own restroom access! This was my first visit to Hot Tuna and I thought it was just an okay experience. I started off with the she crab soup which was extremely buttery and I love butter. Some other people at my table also expressed the same issue with theirs as well. In hindsight, I probably should have asked for something else; I also didn't taste much crab in my soup and it was a bit salty for my taste buds. For my entree I got the crispy fried shrimp that came with fries. The shrimp was just okay and nothing too spectacular. I actually liked the tartar sauce that came with it a lot. I think we had about 2-3 servers for our table. For a party of our size, I think the food came out at a relatively acceptable time frame. The servers were nice and seemed very busy throughout the whole night. The restaurant itself was nice and clean and I can see this being a good date night spot. Since I wasn't too impressed with their food and it's about a 25 drive for me, I don't see myself coming back in the near future. read more

They have delicious cocktails fantastic appetizers and the entree's are to die for. I normally frequent this place as it's a locals favorite but I've noticed the quality of the food has drastically changed. Last night for example I ordered chicken like I have in the past and it came out gray, which is a sign of spoilage. To say the least I am very disappointed and will not be returning. I was super excited to dine here while viewing the menu before our visit. I chose the fried green tomatoe appetizer because they all looked so amazing it was hard to choose! This one had a fan favorite beside it and I wish I had picked something else. The batter that they were fried in was not flavorful. The sauce was delicious but there wasn't enough to mask that it was plain. My daughter and her friend both ordered chicken tender dinners. They were home made as well and neither of the kids ate their food. They only ate the fries. I tried it thinking they were being picky but I wouldn't of ate them either they were 2/10. Everything that was fried lacked salt. They did not have honey mustard for the kids either, when they brought the ketchup it was unusually thick we could barely get any out of the bottle. My scallops were AMAZING. The sauce was SO DELICIOUS and the garlic green beans were great. The mushroom risotto was very gummy and flavorless that also went to waste. The drink menu is extensive so I was excited to try and few of their drinks and I am disappointed to say I wasted my $$$ on each of them. Margarita was nothing but sour mix, I had so many drinks and barely got a buzz so that was a bust for a $180 tab. Service was good, he did well for a large party. Last, the Caesar salad. I didn't know you could mess up a caesar it's something that's so simple and should stay consistent. We were disappointed that the salad had no Parmesan cheese other than a pc of fried parm that was a garnish. I do not think we will visit again. read more
