First off, I felt compelled to write this review because there is a post going around on Facebook that is FALSE advertisement for this family run business. But my review is long over due anyways.... I will say I do not personally know anyone who works at this establishment and my opinion is not biased. I have been coming here for years- YEARS. it is not FAST FOOD- YES, there is a wait! When i walk in 25-35 minutes.. So i learned to call ahead of time and phone in the order! I get wings and mac and cheese. My boyfriend likes the catfish and my son reallllly likes the mac and cheese so i get him a side. The wings are out of this world good, i love hot wings and when im craving them, this is where i go. BWW AND WINGSTOP dont compare at all. there are some things on the menu i havent tried but eventually lol. Everytime i have been here I have NEVER witnessed bad customer service, or had anyone be rude to myself. I will continue to come here and im sorry there are people slandering this name!! Horrible 1st impression. I walked in and was welcomed by the friendly owner and let him know it was my first time there. Ordered two eggs, potatoes, and some hot wings to give them a try. Sat down and waited, waited, and waited. Just for the record I was the only person in the dining area. Got up several times but no one was behind the counter. They were all in the back. It was a little disturbing. Finally one of the girls came out with my foam take out box. I let her know it took more than thirty minutes. I made sure to check my receipt. At my table I opened the take out box. The contents: pitiful handful of potatoes, the eggs and five hot wings. Total fail! All three servings were on small square pieces of aluminum foil. Eggs and potatoes were greasy as hell but totally expected...Southern food tends to be on the greasy side. The hot wings were just like any other hot wings I have tasted. I'm sorry but the price you pay for the food they give is not worth it. I ordered a fish and shrimp dinner I open the box and it looks like a kids meal. And the guy says please check the box before you leave. I shouldn't have to check the box that's your job. If I check its for extra accuracy but that is your job. One guy next to me ordered a 15 piece wing and got a 11 piece what the hell is that. This is my very 1st Yelp review. I'm defending not a big complainer. The food here is excellent. The customer service is the worst. I called to place an order, they left me on hold for 16 minutes. If I didnt have a taste for some good bbq, I would have settled for something else. They kept me on hold so long, I had to walk in and place the order. Placed catering order for schedule pickup next day @ 6:30pm. Arrived at Hotlanta at 6:40pm Received my catering order @ 7:40pm. Now i remember why I haven't been back for 4 years. I was trying to give this place another chance. But they have the same process, They don't care if the customers wait.They don't care about your time. I understand waiting 10 or 15 mins but a whole hour for catering pickup of 6:30pm. Your company is not being fair!!! Your gonna loose a lot of customers this way. This place definitely used to be a favorite of mine, but over the last couple of months the service has definitely gone down hill. The new cashiers and cook are not very courteous, and they spend more time joking in the back than preparing orders in the middle of a rush. I always call 30 minutes in advance and continuously have to wait another 40 minutes for my order after arriving at the restaurant. Bring back the old staff, or find new help because the current crew isn't cutting it. read more

Their shrimps are hella bomb. I've had a bad experience with them through dashdoor. I ordered two shrimp plates combo but only received shrimps and no two sides.The food was missing items and their sausage is always burnt. I understand it's a small business but they should try to have somewhat of good customer service to keep people coming back. The seven piece combo is 7.99 and their shrimp only is $1.00 per shrimp which is 7.99 so it was the same amount I paid to have combo plate but they weren't willing to fix that problem. The only way to get sides were to pay additional. If the shrimp wasn't good I would never ever go back. This was a good find being lost coming home from my friends house in the corona area. I stumbled in at 1 am and ordered a 10 piece suicide wings (extra friggin hot) and a half rack of ribs. The wings were nice and crispy, not chewy or soggy, and unbelievably hot. Some parts of my body were not happy with me in the morning. The ribs are really good too, fall off the bone good, and the bbq sauce was quite tasty. Try the suicide wings at your own risk, other then that enjoy! read more

Can't say much about the customer service since the chick just took my order and walked to the back. The place was completely empty. After reading reviews on the place I debated on whether or not I was even at the right place (its right next to the 76 gas station right??) I got their lunch special: 10 wings (i got lemon pepper and medium hot), fries, and ranch sauce. Maybe I shouldn't be comparing them to Wingstop or maybe I should.. Anyways, I felt like I got jipped on the fries..I'm pretty sure I got 10 fries, they were nice with the wings and gave me well over 10 but the pieces barely had any meat on them and the flavor was extremely salty on both the lemon pepper and M hot...it was ridiculous. I waited way too long for how much food was in my meal, the wings were so small and had more sauce than meat and it was actually really gross because the sauce looked really oily and I just instantly wanted to throw up after looking at it. the fries were rock hard and gross, the ranch was clearly hidden valley squirted into a very small container, the prices are outrageous for what you get, etc. the list can go on. this place is WAYYYYY over rated and I will never be going there again. LOVE THIS PLACE! YUM YUM YUM!! Knocked a star off for being CASH ONLY and for TAKING SO DAMN LONG!! BUT...... I must say the wait was well worth it and the quality was bomb-bay! LOL The lemon pepper and the crispy chicken wings were good. But the mild wings were a bit too soggy for me (maybe if it were a bit crispier?) but thats ONLY if you ask me so yeahs. first shot at Hotlanta, shot down because they do not take debit or credit cards. They want you to use an ATM machine in the dining room so your meal will cost you about an extra $3 to use the ATM machine. Restaurant does not accept ATM or credit cards. This was the worse service ever. I ordered my food and no one said the wait would be over 30 minutes. It took about 10 minutes for them to take my order. I tried ordering seafood, and they had none. The people ahead of me waited for an hour because the black girl with curly hair refused to give them or anyone a refund, despite what there policy says. My husband and our families have been going here for the wings for over 7 years because we enjoy the wings. But the service is ALWAYS awful. It takes 10 to order because the counter is deserted. Some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Mac and cheese is prepared before you even arrived so you're wait to receive your order will only be about 45 minutes... Worst service even worst food! Anyone who thinks this food is good does not know anything about food. We waited an hour and a half before we received cold food. We demanded a refund and it took another half hour before we got our money back. The staff had to contact the owner because they were confused as to what to do. Any reputable place would've known customer service is the key to success.The size of the wings were smaller than my little finger. He asked for refund and was the cashier told him no but still did not receive his food. My sister had to go down and demand a refund.
