We came from San Jose and stopped here for a taste and what a Treat! Their food was Amazing and eclectic! Their ceviche was presented with flair, the Fried Chicken sandwich was delish, especially since it was a thigh. The wings were different in a good way with the spice choices. The patty melt was hearty & juicy. If you are a mushroom lover, try their tacos ! The beers were fresh, cold and delicious. We tried several and all were great. We loved that the brewmaster, Lee & Justin could share their knowledge about each brew. Their location with the open terrace was perfect for a Covid-19 afternoon lunch. We are locals and this is our go to place in town. There are many good options in AG. If you want a pizza Branch street Deli is a must. Rooster Creek also has good pizza. Back to humdingers. Being a brewery first and foremost it does a great job at that. Plenty of options especially if you love a good IPA. Also adult seltzers and wine. No cocktails. The food is OUTSTANDING. It's consistently excellent and that is not an exaggeration. The food typically comes out very quickly. The servers are all very nice and helpful. As a vegetarian there are so many good options I struggle to choose. My wife and friends love all the meat options. Definitely try the fried pickles or fried cheese curd appetizer. My wife swears by the dinger dip which is Roast beef onions and Swiss cheese with a beef dipping soup. Just go you will eat very very well!!! read more

Absolutely love the Chicken Nachos. The perfect balance of chips and coverings. I can't get enough of the Baja sauce, it's amazing. My favorite nachos in the Five Cities. The Shishito Peppers are another favorite of ours. I've never had them elsewhere and love the flavors they pack onto these little peppers. The Crispy Dipping Potatoes are also fun. Crunchy and salty, an interesting spin on French fries. We love the apps so much, we typically are too full to order anything more. All items listed above are pretty generous servings, I'd say enough for two people. Service has always been great and the live music is fun for our two year old daughter (who's sporadic screams and laughs are drowned out by the music). read more

Super stoked on Humdinger, what a nice addition to the village of Arroyo Grande. Both the beers and the food were amazing! The rock shrimp ceviche exceeded our expectations and was so pretty! We tasted a few different beers, but the Fog Crusher and the Blueberry Dinger-Weisse were are favs! Highly recommend Humdinger and we will be back soon! read more

Best restaurant in The Village! The owners and team are awesome: attentive, hospitable, and funny! I can't quite figure out what my favorite menu item is: We love the shishito peppers, corn doggies, and pretzel on the appetizer list. Their fish and chips are the bomb. Their fries are THE PERFECT shape for scooping. And their smash burger (extra cheese add bacon) is probably one of the best burgers on the Central Coast. Everything seems to be from scratch and excellent quality. Comfort food, but super elevated. Oh, and their beer is great too. I REALLY love the Foglifter. Super cool vibe and excellent service! We were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant in Arroyo Grande, and we found a great one. Lively restaurant with great food and not just one but two stouts. Get the pastrami sandwich. So for Sunday night dinner I decided to order the Fried Hot Chicken Sandwich for dinner. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. We stopped by today for pick up due to the wackiness of our current situation. purchased a 4 pack... 2 Fog Catcher IPA and 2 Roast Coaster imperial porters. OUTSTANDING!!! I love stouts & porters and my husband loves IPA's. We have been to almost 300 breweries... and I am excited that these guys are part of our little town! Go support them at this time... they have really good beer and food to go! Look forward to when we can sit inside and taste all they have to offer. WOW! I'd heard good things about there food and was eager to try it out, but had some reservations since most of what I heard was from mutual friends of the owners. Well they weren't blowing smoke, the food is fantastic! Since I'm not getting into town much due to the Corona I grabbed lunch in dinner. Lunch - Had the Beyond Meat vegetarian chili, again reservations with "BEYOND MEAT", but Laura Beth (LB) recommend it and was some of the best chili I've ever had. Dinner - Spaghetti and Meatballs(pork) - Absolutely deliciousness, not your mamas spaghetti. They did some VoDoo magic with the toasted bread. When I first open the bread and didn't see the standard garlic bread I was a bit disappointed, but there were just 4 thin pieces of bread but Yum Yum. Don't know what's on it but some kind of Humdinger Crack and going to ask for the secret next time I'm there. Snackie - House Beer Nuts, not really a huge peanut fan but these had a mild yet great flavor. Haven't tried out their beers yet but if they're half as good as the food I can't wait to throw back a few with some of those peanuts and explore the rest of their menu. It looks like a rundown bar inside. I went for taco Tuesday and ordered the taco dish special. It was almost 1:30pm so just after the lunch rush. I tell you that because what came out of the kitchen was dried out chicken, dried corn tortillas, dried out and chewy beef (unedible) and lastly a poorly (or not at all) seasoned pork. Alongside brown salsa with two limes that had no juice. Are you feeling a consistency here? I would not recommend this place at all. I did complain to the child waitress, and she did nothing. Usually, I try a place 3 times before a review but I am not coming back here ever again. There was only one other table who ordered the same thing. They also had a complaint. Our dishes should have never left the kitchen. I paid full price and left a full tip for the waitress who was so young she did not know what to do. I left all three tacos barely eaten. I did not have a beer so maybe that is their strength. read more

Decent place, staff were very friendly. Beers were ok, high end home brew flavor. The smash burger meat and aioli were good, but it seemed to have Kraft prepared cheese on it, which was disappointing. So to charge $12 for a bun, meat and fake cheese seemed a bit much. read more

What a great place! My daughter and I went there for a friends birthday party, I had the nachos (with pork belly chili verde) and she had the Grilled Cheese Sandwich (which also came with pork) both were excellent. Our table was also sharing some Crispy Dipping Potatoes which were very good. Though I didn't drink any beer they had a lot to choose from. Very open layout and clean restroom. The service was very good and the owner (who also was serving) was very friendly and attentive. Such a beautiful town to visit while at the coast! read more

My husband and I went here on our first post lockdown getaway and we loved it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the beer and menu items, it was a nice mix of locals and tourists, the beer is ridiculously good, they are dog friendly and it just had a nice relaxing atmosphere. There are many kid friendly items on the menu and we saw many families eating on the patio area. Of all the food items we tried the Mexican street corn was my favorite, it was DELICIOUS, the fish tacos were also very good with fresh tasting ingredients and fish cooked well, nice and light, not overcooked and greasy. The home made beer nuts were very unique and addicting, I would definitely order them again. The only food item that was disappointing were the wings, we got the sweet and spicy wings, and although the chicken itself was nice and moist, they were not very crispy and they were so spicy I couldn't eat them and my husband, who has a higher tolerance for spice said they were too hot, so maybe just not something we would order again but others may enjoy. As for the beers they make there is not a bad one in the bunch. We are not a fan of the IPAs that are so popular so we were happy to see many lager, ale and Pilsner styles. The watermelon hard seltzer is especially delicious, crisp and refreshing, with a real watermelon flavor, so so good. Overall this is a great place, local owned business. It seems frequently in areas with tourists places rely on the location to bring in business and cut corners with low quality and premade menu item, this business is definitely not doing that, I will return and would recommend anyone in the area come here. read more
