Dont forget to add all the toppings they add in the box like the red onions! It really takes it over the top! The meats pide was pretty good, slightly wished we could have gotten a mix of the cheese pide with the meat. There was something just missing with only the meat alone. The combo plate was good, well cooked, nice char, not dry! Sauces that came with everything was delicious! Overall a great place and super conveniently nearby! First time here and it was great. Friendly staff, good food portions of tasty authentic food. Parking is a challenge but so is everything downtown. If in area again will certainly stop again. I went with my wife and grandson who is a pretty picky eater but he enjoyed it very much. He even had rice pudding dessert which he never tasted before so that is a big win and he finished it. Amazing find! I was intrigued when I saw this place open up across the street from hummus powerhouse Oren's. I've been here twice now and can confidently say this place holds it's own! I'm not a huge falafel fan, but the falafel and hummus here are my favorite in the Bay Area. You can tell the ingredients they use are high quality and fresh. The food has a homemade quality. Even the sides dishes here are delicious, unlike some places where side dishes are just cheap ingredients thrown on a plate to fill the space. I felt really cheated with the breakfast platter for two. For $54 you'd think you get a decent variety of spreads and ethnic items, but it was at least half Nutella and other cheap things like butter, jam, etc. You're paying a lot of money to get a flight of mostly common items (one tomato based spread was tasty). Replacing some of these with more ethnic items like dolmas or actual hummus (what this place is called after all), and reducing the price would probably leave customers feeling less cheated and more satisfied. read more

Great spot for Mediterranean food. It opened about a year ago and has a pretty extensive menu. We got the sampler platter so that we could taste multiple items and all the dishes were great -- the salsa was tangy, the tzatziki was creamy and complemented the roasted eggplant so well, baba ghanoush was well made, and the pitas were soft. We really liked the appetizer sampler! We've had it twice and it was excellent both times. The hummus is smooth, the salsa is a little sweet but it goes great with the mix. The eggplant is not bitter. Falafels are crunchy on the outside and soft inside. I just enjoyed the whole plate. We also had the spanakopita on our last visit and it was served warm. We decided to try the beef and lamb gyros with the fries inside the wrap. It was okay as far as gyros go but I would try something else next time. It just didn't have the flavors of the appetizer plate. The warmed up cheese pide came out nice and hot. The Turkish coffee was nice and strong. Just remember to let it sit for a bit so the grounds have time to settle on the bottom. This was our first time trying the ayran drink. The cashier said people enjoy it with the food. It's yogurt, water, and salt. It tastes like watered down yogurt with salt and it does go with the food! You order at the counter. They give you a number and bring the food to you. I've eaten here about 2-3 times now. The food is good (+5 stars) The service, however, can be better. Every single time I go here, they will bring out the food without any napkins. There's none at the tables, and there no napkin dispensers for customer to just grab some. Each time, I'll have to ask for napkins when they bring out the food, and each time they "forget" to bring it out and I have to go back in and ask at the counter. (-1 star) It's very possible that I use too much ketchup with my fries, but I only received 3 packets. I needed more, but there's no place for me to get it from besides the counter. (no star added or deducted) Suggestion #1: have napkins available for customers to just get themselves if there's some policy about not giving any to customers when you bring out the food. Suggestion #2: have ketchup containers at the tables, or have the ketchup packets inside where customers can just get more themselves. Summary: good food but weirdly stingy about napkins. read more

The ambience was decent for a quick dine-in place and the customer service was better than I would have expected at such a restaurant. One of the things that was where they excelled in customer services. Our order did get delayed and the waitress, came to apologise for having the delay in our order. Later she also gave us complimentary deserts, saying that she wanted to have the deserts on the house for the delay. The store seemed very clean when we walked in, and the gentleman at the front was very friendly and welcoming. I had the house combo which consisted of a variety of meats, a salad and rice. All of the meats were so tender and juicy! I was surprised the chicken was tender too since I've often had dry ones at other places. Hummus flight was delicious too, especially the beet hummus.
