Miguel came out to do the house inspection and the guy is super knowledgeable and had a lot of patience with my elderly mother. He answered all her questions and did not stress over the time it took. Dewey Pest Control was not visiting my property, despite taking the monthly service charges. The last service card was from April 2016 and we got squirrel fleas in the house. I have been a Hydrex customer for about two years and I finally decided to leave a review. I must say that the service is very good and Miguel (person on the field) is just awesome. It is such a good feeling to have a company that does an amazing job. For some time before Hydrex I changed multiple pest control companies because I simply wasn't happy with the service. I had finally found a good company but unfortunately they got bought by another big company and service was horrible after that. Not sure about the policy so I'm not naming any names. I was with Terminex for over 10 years but when they failed to provide me with basic customer service when I found vi sable termites they failed to see, I switched to Hydrex 2 years ago. I am so happy with this company and their staff. When I had a underground termite issue, they were here for hours fixing the problem perfectly. Since switching to Hydrex, I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 bugs in my home and must fewer in the garden and fruit sections of my yards. The first time he eliminated the termite problem. Mr. Shin was kind enough to come by on a Sunday to inspect and let me know it was cloth moths. Eddi was so patient with me in scheduling my appointment. I think I changed my mind on the date and time at least 5 times while on the phone with her, and she just kept her positive attitude. Carlos came a couple days later and he, too, couldn't have been nicer. He definitely knows what he's doing and he really goes above and beyond. He even let me know that he found (and killed) a black widow outside my house and then noticed that there may be a rat issue. Hmm, I may need to just move. I had a rat problem back in June (4 months ago). Carlos came out 3 times and could not locate an opening yet I continued to hear noises every night which kept me up. He insisted the noise was from the roof and not the attic and sort of gave up on us and stopped coming. I did a test on 3 occasions and had my husband look on the roof while I listened to the noises from inside the house and he didn't see anything up there so I know for sure it was coming from the attic. We have since caught 4 rats in the attic in the last 4 months since Carlos first came out (the last rat being just this week). He also put a hole in my ceiling the last time he came. We have insulation in the attic so it can be hard to walk around up there but nobody else has been up there. The traps were by the attic door so we could stand on a ladder and didn't need to go up in order to catch the 4 rats. Carlos was the only person who crawled around up there. I tried calling many times to resolve this with them because I really didn't want to write a negative review but each time the person who answers says someone will call back. The last time I tried was 10/5 and I haven't heard from them. At this point I have given up on them and am calling another company. I am fine with moving on, just annoyed about the hole. read more

So we had a major bug problem in our house that was mostly effecting our children. They were like little Gremlins multiplying. After attempting a few different things on our own to no avail I contacted Hydrex since they had other great reviews on Yelp. Our amazing tech David came out the next day. He inspected, found the problem, gave us specific instructions on what we needed to do. He was super knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and friendly! He came back the next day to fumigate. He continued to follow up weekly. He was amazing and there was comfort in knowing someone else was just as concerned about our bug problem. Luckily it was resolved with one treatment. I highly recommend Hydrex. I have used the bigger companies before and no one gave us the treatment that Hydrex and David did. He's our hero! I recently had a rat problem. I am very against killing them so I set a Have a Heart trap. It didn't work. The rat was coming in the house and leaving a trail of evidence in his wake. I called Hydrex and they said they were booked but squeezed me in. Miguel came and immediately found the hole where the rat was getting in under the house and closed it off. I chose to see if the rat was maybe not home and hold off on lethal methods. He was very understanding and patient with me and agreed to try that and gave me his number to call him directly if things changed. The next day things went to another level. It turned out the rat was home and was trapped under the house. He was chewing inside the walls relentlessly. Then we discovered there was more than one when we heard chewing simultaneously in two different spots.The rat crossed the line when I woke up to him on my dining room table eating an apple and crapping EVERYWHERE!! Such a mess. I called Miguel and told him the rat was on my table and to come quick. Luckily he was in the area and was there almost immediately. He found that the rat had CHEWED THROUGH MY DRYWALL and patiently explained that we were past the point of Have a Hearts and had to go a route I never thought I would go. He set the traps and left. 15 minutes later a rat was caught. I called Miguel in tears and he immediately came back to take care of it and assured me the rat would be ok.Through the whole thing he was so patient, understanding, and compassionate. I'm so grateful that I got Miguel for my first and hopefully last traumatic rat event. read more
