Best home town spot! Been coming here for years! Service and food is good! No complaints

Got my order wrong twice and never fixed it the last time. I ordered a bacon egg and cheddar bagel sandwich on a cinnamon bagel as well as a turkey and American cheese bagel sandwich on a cinnamon bagel. They came back after we ordered and told us they only had one cinnamon left so we changed the turkey one to an everything bagel. They came out and had the bagels mixed up and the bacon bagel sandwich came on an everything bagel instead of the cinnamon and the turkey sandwich came out with a cinnamon bagel. I asked them to just fix the cheddar and bacon sandwich with the raisin bagel and they instead made the turkey and American cheese bagel on cinnamon AGAIN and told me that's what I asked for. Miffed, I tried to explain that's not what I wanted but they insisted. I didn't feel like arguing so I just took it, ate some of it and trashed it. I hate turkey and American cheese. Just make sure they get your order right. read more

Ordered a pizza melt on a Saturday morning. They burnt it once, they covered it up with cheese. Went to check on my order, told me to get back in line. They burnt it a second time - went to laugh about it with the lady owner. Food is good here, but customer service needs help. read more

My hubby and I went here when we were craving really good bagels. You know actual bagels, not the store bought type. These totally hit the mark! So good with a wide selection to choose from. Lots of flavors of cream cheese too. They steam the bagels instead of boiling them. Not sure what the difference is but these bagels rock! If you love bagels, then you will love "I Love Bagels" Their bagels are perfectly boiled and always ready fresh! The spreads are delicious, rich, and flavorful, The service is friendly and attentive. The owner is a straight badass. He's been making perfect bagels and making a spot where community members can gather and enjoy an amazing breakfast. We love this place for bagels!! It's a great chain, we've been to many of the Orange County locations and we ALWAYS call in our order. However, this location is not the case. They are constantly understaffed to where they can't take phone orders. When you go in it's always about a 15 minutes wait to order and a 15-30 minute wait to get your food. I'm not sure why this location has this issue, but I wanted to leave them a review for the feedback. read more

Their bagels are delicious! I've never had an egg bagel before. It was soft and a great texture. You can actually see them cooking them. Their lox spread has lots of chunks of lox in it! I called in and ordered my half dozen ahead since they are so popular they run out of my favorites. They have a good covid19 protocol in place as well. I'm sad the Oceanside Blvd one closed, but glad to see this one is going strong! read more

The BEST bagels in all of Ca. And the best owners. Today the guy before he got the last salt bagel, and I specifically came in for a salt bagel. Well the lovely owner overheard me and my daughter taking about our disappointment, and guess what he did - he went in back and made me 1 salt bagel. That's the kind of fantastic family owned shop this is. Of course the bagel was fabulous as always, great crust and delicious soft inside. I've been here twice recently. About a week ago I picked up a bagel and creamed cheese. Then yesterday I was looking for a different type of sandwich. I remembered they had a variety of sandwiches. I dropped by around 12:30 pm. They were not busy, but steady. I ended up ordering a Ruben sandwich with a fountain drink. Was able to get a seat inside the was appropriately spaced apart. They brought my food in a reasonable amount of time. The sandwich came with a small serving of potato salad and a pickle slice. The pickle was a dill and was okay. The potato salad was made from red potatoes, delicious. Could have used a couple of bites more. The sandwich came nice and hot, served on rye bread with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and dressing. I think it could have used a little more meat, but it was very good. That may be a personal preference. I'll go back. I want to try the hot pastrami and the cheesesteak. read more

We've been wanting to try this place for a while. The sole is in the plaza off the 78 near Home Depot. We did so for the first time today and boy were we delighted. We got the bakers half dozen which is really 7 bagels. We chose all savory: Asiago, jalapeño cheese, jalapeño, and poopy seed. They were out of the spinach and cheese. I'll try that next time. Hubby chose the lox cream cheese. Staff were so on top of things and sweet. They employed a COVID-19 safety protocol very effectively. We'll definitely be back. read more

This is a review of the Oceanside Blvd location. We have been longtime customers and love their bagels. But they put a sign in their window complaining about how they can't get help bc the government is paying people to stay home or some such bs and we won't be coming back. Raise your prices if you need to do so in order to pay your employees a decent wage. Otherwise, you shouldn't be in business. We won't be coming back. After all, these are SoCal bagels, not New York bagels. read more

What a great little spot. I've been working across the driveway on a construction project for a couple of months and he's been closed more often than not because of labor shortages. These bagels are so soft, chewy and the most authentic you can get in San Diego. The open lox bagel is so good that I feel I'm back in NYC. They have a nice variety of flavors, the breakfast bagels are delicious and fresh squeezed orange juice can't be beat. Sometimes during the busy times there is a wait but it's worth it. We have been supporting this business for years now! Our interactions here are positive and although it can be a wait at times, we can't complain during these trying times. The bagel varieties are amass and the options are all there. We are use to always getting our favorite bagel flavors and pairing with their house-made scallion cream cheese and adding bacon. The bacon can always use some work - it either seems over-cooked, old or too dry. However, the bagels are premium and made on site - as so with all their cream cheese options. You may have to wait, but found our longest wait time during their busiest times, which are usually weekends between 10-11:30a is usually around 10-20m. We have no problem waiting and appreciate the value and how there made to order. The employees appear to work hard while still wearing a mask to protect everyone. I find that a discipline we all have had to adapt to, and actually prefer it over not wearing a mask, to further protect food preparation. The employees need more $$ though, and so I would still support them if it meant they had to raise prices to raise wages in supporting the ongoing rise of inflation. read more

Work sent me a distant land, after an hour and half drive I was hungry but not to the point my stomach was turning. Parking is reasonable and people are constantly coming in and out. The variety of bagels is amazing. The prices are reasonable for a little shop with good customer service. I just ordered a regular bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. Locally owned and operated, this establishment really makes sure its customers are happy. You enter the business and guess what, you can order bagels! Though bagels are the star of the show, you can also order soft drinks, coffee, and even canned/bottled drinks. They give you plenty of options when order your bagels, from a bundle of bagels to just a choice bagel. The prices are average, what you would expect to pay for a bagel. The bagels taste as a bagel should taste, there is not nothing exquisite about the taste/flavor of the bagels but that is okay! No need to reinvent the wheel if it is already working! What does make this bagel shop different is that they make their own hand-made spreads. So if you want to try out a bagel and add their spread to it, they your tastebuds will most likely find more delight. The parking is a little tough. The I Bagels store is located inside of a busy shopping center and parking can be a little challenging. Even at the furthest distance in the parking lot, it really is not bad. Customer service is helpful, they are a busy bunch of people so they try to serve you as politely as they can while still being fast and efficient.
