Exactly what I needed to satisfy a chocolate craving! This place is a true local business and I love supporting them. They have an array of drinks and food to choose from and they're located in a fairly large plaza. Easy breezy parking. Service was quick! I ordered through the kiosk as soon as I walked in. There's some seating so it's a great place to hang out with friends and family. My order: Regular chocolate slush with boba. It's the perfect amount of me. I think the boba could be a bit more chewy (my preference) but overall pretty solid. 8/10
After having lunch at Tanoshi's , we wandered across the plaza to Ice Monster. This was my first time here so exploring the the menu and pics on the window we decided to check it out. This a smoothie , shave ice, boba , bread toast establishments. Lots of pics of customers in the wall with their creations . I ordered the mango shave ice with mango syrup and mochi balls . The shaved ice melted in my mouth the moment they came in contact . Delish and so refreshing ! I ordered the "kid" size which was plenty for 2.... They also have a regular and large size as well. Good way to end my lunch with a refreshing dessert. Easy to fine , clean , greeted when entering . Nice local spot .
We got some cold treats here today and they were really good. My husband got their Honeydew Shaved Snow with lychee jelly. It was super soft like shaved ice and super flavorful. The texture was really nice and the jelly gave it a bit of a crunch. I got the Orange Cream Slush with whipped cream. It tasted like an orange Julius but even better. It's a small spot but they have nice tables and also higher tables and stools. It was pretty busy for a work day. We will definitely be returning this summer for more cold treats.
My nephew liked his oreo smoothie, he's 10, lol, but my taro milk tea taste nothing like taro, it just taste like the milk left over when you finish a bowl of cereal. I ordered a Thai tea instead, it was worst than the first one. I see a lot of pics of teenagers on the wall, so this is probably a cool little hang out spot for them, just not the quality of boba or smoothies that I'm used to.
When we arrived, there were 4 customers enjoying drinks outside but the interior was empty. Shortly after we ordered, the restaurant was packed, so we got very lucky with timing. There were 2 staff working who were friendly and worked quickly. The interior was clean, and so was the bathroom. They were sold out of mango, coffee, and watermelon, so I ordered the honeydew shaved snow with lychee and mango jelly. It was scrumptious and there was plenty to share among the 3 of us. The shaved snow is creamier than shaved ice, which I really appreciated on a sunny, 84-degree day. My husband ordered the Pina colada drink and my son ordered the Blue Raspberry Italian soda. Those drinks were ok, but I would not order them again. Mine was the favorite. I want to come back to different flavors of the shaved snow, and I want to get a dirty milk tea next time.
I ordered green tea shaved snow with grass jelly and mochi...and I ordered it in Monster size. The cashier gave me a funny luck. "Are you sure? That's enough for two people." I smiled at the cashier and looked her dead in the eye. "Yes I'm sure." I'm so happy I got Monster size and devoured the whole bowl. When they brought out the bowl, they brought spoons thinking we were going to share. No, it was all mine! I ate it all in one sitting and enjoyed it so much! Even the two other people I was with looked at their small shaved ice and thought "Maybe we should have gotten our own monster size instead."
Came here for a post-hike dessert as we were in the area. They offer a good selection of desserts, from shaved snow to brick toast to waffles to boba. There's something for everyone here! My friend and I ordered the regular sized mango shaved snow for $9.55. You can choose two toppings for free, so we got red beans and condensed milk. We were planning to dine in, but for some reason our shaved snow came in a to go container. We saw other groups get their shaved snow in regular plates/bowls after us, so I'm not sure how the staff decided we were doing takeout. The shaved snow was really good and was exactly what I was looking for after hiking on a hot day. I was craving red beans, but in retrospect that might not have been the best topping to get with mango flavor as both flavors are pretty strong and clashed a bit. Oh well.
Not the best place fora drink, but their Oreo shake is great! Their specialty is cold desserts, so I would recommend coming here on hot days. I remember getting a shaved ice once and I was surprised at how much came in one order. Service is good. People were attentive and got my order out pretty quickly. The space is very casual.
there's so many bingsu places in the bay area but very few taiwanese shaved ice/avalanche layer snow. we were very excited to see ice monster. prices are kind of high for snow (regular was $10.50). you get 2 free toppings (condensed milk counts as one). we got the mango snow with condensed milk and lychee jelly, added fresh mango $1.50. the portion is decent, good for 2 people. the snow was flavorful and sweet (tasted a bit artificial). lychee jelly was standard. the fresh mango was diced and very unripe (sour) which was disappointing. the shaved ice was also a bit clumpy/dense in the middle. order on a kiosk with no customer service too.

The misconception is that it is merely an eatery serving shaved ice as if from a carnival. Dare to enter Ice Monster and you will see that it is far more. This establishment serves shaved ice, ice cream, teas and far more. The watermelon ice was filled with flavor and was a cool masterpiece. The food is the focus of the eatery, which was satisfying to discover, but the ambiance is not it's equal. The chairs were a bit used, tape on the walls and unfinished floors by the windows. We recently had the opportunity to try ICE MONSTER, and our experience left us somewhat disappointed. While it's possible that their offerings shine in the realm of smoothies, our venture into the Milk Tea domain left us wanting. Regrettably, there was a conspicuous absence of tea in our Milk Tea orders. An aspect that warrants attention is the choice between real milk and powdered milk when customizing your beverage. ICE MONSTER presents the option to upgrade your drink with real milk, and this choice holds paramount importance. Opting for real milk enhances not only the flavor but also the overall quality of your drink. In contrast, opting for powdered milk may compromise both taste and nutritional value. In recent times, numerous tea establishments have phased out powdered milk due to its less-than-optimal health implications and the unanimous preference for genuine milk among discerning patrons. It's worth noting that once we modified our drinks to include real milk, the cost per beverage escalated significantly. Our total bill exceeded $7 per drink, and when factoring in tips, it surpassed $8. While the upgrade to real milk undoubtedly improved the taste, it came at a noticeable cost. On a positive note, the service at ICE MONSTER was commendable. The staff member attending to us was exceptionally courteous and adept at explaining the various drink options available. This level of service certainly added a touch of warmth to an otherwise lukewarm experience. In conclusion, ICE MONSTER offers a mixed bag of experiences. While the importance of opting for real milk cannot be overstated, it does come at an additional cost. The absence of tea in our Milk Tea orders was a notable drawback, but the exceptional service provided by the staff helps redeem the overall impression. If you're willing to invest in upgrading your beverage with real milk, you may find ICE MONSTER's offerings more satisfying but maybe ask them to add/brew more tea leaves to their teapots too.

Found this place on yelp when looking up somewhere to have a dessert date with my best friend, so glad we came here!! It was a really hot day so we knew we were getting ice cream! It was tough to decide what to get everything on the menu sounds so good! We ended up getting two Oreo explosions which they told us would take about 15 minutes to make. That was cool we were trying to hang out and catch up anyway. So we sat at a table and waited. The 15 minute wait time probably was really only 10 and we were quite surprised by the size of these they are much larger than the pictures make them seem! But they both looked DELICIOUS and looks did not deceive!!! The Oreo explosion was just a great explosion of flavors words won't do justice for me. I couldn't tell what the bread was, i was expecting it to be cake but it wasn't it was more along the lines of a sweet sourdough maybe but with the ice cream it was really good. Even the macaroons on top, were just above standard for me. They have made a repeat customer out of me!!! YUM!!! If going with another person it probably is reasonable to share one though my best friend and I definitely didn't need two separate ones but I'm not ashamed to say they were so good we put a pretty decent dent in almost eating the whole thing! read more

This place has been on my bookmarks forever so I was excited to finally get to try this place. It's located inside an outside strip mall and parking was abundant. I love Asian desserts and I especially love shaved snow. Since the hubs and I already had dinner we decided to just share a dessert. There were so many choices of what sounded like very tasty items, however, we decided to go with the most popular selection which was the mango shaved ice with mochi and condensed milk. The mango shaved ice taste was overall good, but the shaved ice itself had a strange sticky texture (not sticky from the condensed milk- but it didn't have that light snow feel). The condensed milk was nice because it added another layer of sweetness. The mochi was the most disappointing. The colorful mochi didn't taste like typical mochi, it was maybe off brand because it wasn't soft or chewy. It was quite awful tasting actually, almost inedible. Sadly, this place did not live up to the amazing photos and I do not think I will be coming back again. read more

I love how this spot has so many options and allows us to customize our orders!! Everything is reasonably priced and the desserts are delicious!! So far, I've tried their matcha egg puff with matcha ice cream (adore) and their red bean waffles with two matcha ice cream scoops. They were both freshly made and tasted A M A Z I N G !!! read more
I've been coming to Ice Monster for quite some time now over the years, and I have to say that I frequent this spot more than any other boba joint in the area. It could be the convenience factor; this place is closer to me than any other boba place. What they serve isn't anything super amazing, but they have the sweetest and most helpful employees that I've ever encountered in a facility like this. It feels like every time that I've come in, the staff is always smiling and ready to help me immediately. Although I frequent Ice Monster, I don't really care for the boba itself. I usually order my drinks without it. I think I will eventually come to enjoy it, but for now I just order my drinks sans the pearl. My go to drink used to be the Tiger milk tea back in the day, but that was before I expanded my horizons. I've tried many different milk teas and smoothies here, two of my favorites being the Coconut milk tea and the Piña Colada smoothie. Their smoothies are nice and thick here and they don't melt as quickly as other places. What's really nice is that they also offer desserts, ice cream, and shaved ice here as well. There's a little something for everyone to enjoy! I have yet to try out their crepes and desserts, but it seems like someone is always eating a dessert from here when I stop in. The inside is pretty small, but they have a few tables inside and outside as well. This seems like the hangout spot for some of the teenagers and locals in the area. I love how convenient the parking is! I can usually find a parking spot right in front of the shop. They have awesome hours and are open pretty late for those nights when I'm having a craving for milk tea. Love my Ice Monster! read more

I order Doordash delivery from here never again this is so messy and melted all over the place why would you pack it like this Any other place I have order from would put ice cream in a container . So disappointed read more
Came here on two separate occasions. I really enjoyed the egg puff waffle and can't wait to try the other flavors. We also got the Oreo explosions bread house which was delicious just wished it had 3 ice cream scoops to go with all the bread as there was a lot of bread! The bread house is definitely a show stopper but we probably won't order another one again as it was way too much for the two of us lol. read more

Great spot! Came in on a Friday night around 9pm and the seating areas were packed. My friends and I ordered a coffee, kids size mango shaved ice, and kids size green tea shaved ice with red bean and condensed milk. SO GOOD. Its like the softest ice cream I've had as weird as that sounds. I'm a huge fan of red bean and condensed milk. Definitely will be back to try more on their menu. Since the tables were full, we ended up having to sit outside on a fairly cold night. The space heater ended up not having enough fuel, but one of the employees was nice enough to at least offer us mugs of hot water! It actually helped a lot and kept my unfortunate blood circulation syndrome at bay until we were able to move inside after a group left their table. The employees were all so friendly and smiling the entire time we were there, we felt very welcome! Glad they have this spot here. Wish this place had more seating but it's still a cool spot with fun treats. Can't wait to try their ice cream breadhouse, yum! read more

I'm still drooling over their bricktoast!! O-M-G! I got the original bricktoast (honey and butter), topped with vanilla ice cream. Double O-M-G. Lol! My bf ordered the crepe with strawberry ice cream. It was also good! Their boba was ok. I've had better ones. Maybe next time I'll try their famous bread house. I didn't get this one because I felt overwhelmed and was afraid I'd eat all of it.. haha! But we'll definitely come back to try more of their desserts. read more
Establishment is in a quiet plaza. Seating inside and outside. Friendly staff, clean inside. The menu has a lot of options and the type of desserts vary along with many flavors. Oreo explosion bread house - it looks like half a bread loaf cut in half. Bread itself was soft, slightly sweet and i think the inside may have come slightly buttered. The inside was filled with the sliced bread. It came with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, fluff/marshmallows, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, choco sticks, Oreos/Oreo pieces, and a Thai tea macaroon. This was a super sweet treat and the bread was a nice balance to it. 7/10 Mango shaved ice - got this with condensed milk and boba. The shaved ice itself tasted more like lychee than mango. Not a bad taste, just not the flavor I was looking for. I felt like it was a bit icy. I know traditionally Taiwanese type shaved ice isn't meant to be creamy, but I wasn't expecting an icy texture. The condensed milk smoothed this out. The boba itself was really good, chewy with a little bit of bit and slightly sweetened. - 5/10 Chocolate strawberry crepe - the crepe had a little sweet taste to it and had crisp edges. It was drizzled with chocolate/strawberry syrup. It was filled with Nutella, chocolate ice cream and tart strawberries. It was came served with a strawberry stick, whipped cream and powdered sugar. 8/10 Overall, I'd come here again. There were only 2 of us and we got these 3 desserts, they were solid sizes and could have easily fed 4-5 people. -.5 for the consistency of the shaved ice, -.5 for not offering different flavors for the ice cream. read more
I've had Ice Monster bookmarked for some time, but never really had the chance to go. However on a super hot day, I decided it was finally time to go and give their shaved snow a try. But, that all changed as soon as I spotted the Lychee Milk Tea (current obsession) on the menu. The friendly girl at the register said she personally liked the Lychee Black Tea better, but I wasn't feeling that. Do I regret getting it? Absolutely not! I was worried it would be overly sweet, but it wasn't plus it was refreshing in the heat. I got my drink without boba (been trying to cut back), so I can't say much about their tapioca pearls. A few other things to point out; my drink, as well as my friends' drinks came out fast despite the crowds. Service was awesome. I noticed a few staff members went out of their way to personally deliver drinks instead of calling out order numbers. Extra brownie points! Plenty of parking, but location wise I thought it was out of the way because I never been to that part of Walnut Creek. I've only tried snow ice maybe once before in the past but wasnt a huge fan of it... until I tried Ice Monster. And then I realized, it wasnt a problem with snow ice, it was the flavor which I didn't like. This time around, we had the matcha snow ice with condensed milk and mochi bites and it was so good. I was really full from dinner but the dessert just disappeared in minutes. It was that good. Highly recommended! Great place for a family/ friends gathering or even a dessert date! read more
Awesome and refreshing find after my friends and I had gone on a hike at Mt. Diablo! I've never been to this part of Walnut Creek, but the plaza area is really spacious, with Ice Monster tucked away next to a taqueria area. Spacious seating indoors and tables outside with umbrellas to keep you cool (when it's sunny!). The inside of the store has polaroids of customers lined up on the wall (so cute!) The menu is extensive, with offerings from ice cream crepes to shaved snow to brick toast to milk tea- and I know I'm definitely missing other items on their menu! My friends and I ordered: -mango snow with condensed milk and passionfruit popping boba- sooooo delicious! The regular can comfortably feed two. Condensed milk topping is a must! -chocolate strawberry ice cream crepe- I felt this had chocolate much more than it did strawberry. The ice cream was the chocolate, and there were some strawberries to accompany it, along with whipped cream. Huge portion so also good to share! I'd return to try more snacks/drinks if I'm ever in the area! read more

Ordered Honey Dew Boba and Egg Puffs + Green Tea Ice Cream. Honey Dew Boba- Honestly, I've had better. Usually the real deal is colored light green. In this case its brown and tasted blah. Not much taste to it. Egg Puffs+ Green Tea Ice Cream- Now this Egg Puff is one of a kind as I've never experienced crunchy egg puffs on the outside and soft inside. Thumbs up for that. Ice Cream + Sprinkles was icing on the cake! If you love crunchy egg puffs on the outside and soft inside then you must and I mean MUST try! Have yet to try their Bread dessert but will next time I come back. Environment/setting: I wasn't expecting this place to look the way it did. Casual café like setting, small and nothing to WOW about it. read more

I've been dying to try a bread house and was super excited to try one from here. The staff here were super friendly and professional and the venue was nice and clean. Parking here is easy since it's in a plaza with a big parking lot. The prices here are a bit on the higher side for dessert, but my friend and I decided to order a kid's sized shaved snow as well as a bread house. Since the bread house takes around 15 minutes to make, we started out with the original milk shaved snow with condensed milk. It was really creamy and yummy and definitely one of the better shaved snow I've had. When the bread house came out, the waitress made sure we knew to cut the 2 corners of the bread and then eat the bread with the ice cream. I cut it open and immediately the ice cream fell down - OH NO! I probably did it wrong :( but nonetheless it was super good! The bread was baked very well and towards the end I just devoured all the bread and let the ice cream melt. I would definitely recommend everyone try one of these desserts! read more
Ultra FIVE STARS, and so worth the price!!! Here's why... Atmosphere: Although the place was empty, I can imagine people with their laptops studying here. Regular cushioned chairs and clean tables; Very clean in fact. And seeing the staff wipe them down and scoop up our trash scraps is always a plus. Only a few pieces of decor, but pleasant in color. Service: I'm always greeted at the door. All three staff members were very polite and asked how we were doing. While waiting for our order, one of the girls even asked if I wanted my ice slush in a 'to go' cup instead of a tall mug even though she knew we were gonna eat shaved ice there. Service was on point! Our order: ~Mango Ice Slush ($4) With little mango pieces and whipped cream, this was a refreshingly gooood fruity milkshake! Much recommend to try an Ice Slush. ~Shaved Ice, kids size ($4) Green Tea with mochi (+$0.50) and strawberry slices. Mmm mmm mmm is all I can say! Oh yeah, and the added condensed milk is always satisfying! ~Lychee green tea ($3.50) with boba (+$0.50). Smooth tasting, not overly sweet, and the boba was fresh'n'chewy. You can even smell the flavor! Now other reviews complain about the prices, but cleanliness, great quality, and excellent service deem a five star rating imo. So if you're looking for another cold alternative in the area that's arguably as good as Gelateria Naia or Guanatos, then come here. You won't be disappointed! read more
The end of summer is here, Indian summer that is especially in the east day. With weather of 90 degrees I'm always on the look out for a treat to cool off. In the city of Walnut Creek, a new kind of shaved ice but called shaved snow with distinctive flavors and mouth watering toppings that leaves a refreshing taste. Not only shave snow is offered but they have boba and other desserts. As a new customer, I spy with my little eye shaved snow green tea flavor. I see my options to add fruits so I choose fresh strawberries, rainbow jelly, and condensed milk. Within 5-8mins my dessert comes out and wooed me!! read more
Came by late last night because I've been craving brick toast and had no idea this place was here! I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who took our order. We ordered a green tea brick house which is brick toast topped with green tea ice cream, red beans, mochi bits, condensed milk, chocolate wafers and even a French macaron. I was a little surprised because the mochi bits are fruit flavored, which is pretty unique to me because I've only ever had plain mochi bits. They weren't terrible, but I feel that plain would have been more appropriate for the green tea brick house because the flavors were just not working with each other. Other than that I had a great experience and would totally come back thanks to friendly staff, fast service and yummy desserts. read more
Saw a new Yelp friend bookmark this place and just had to try it! We were told they only opened last week. Awesome!! Ice Monster is located in a different part of Walnut Creek that I have never been to before, which surprised me when my GPS lead me in a different direction. (I usually venture into the downtown Walnut Creek area.) The drinks, crepes, and waffles all seem like a decent price. However, the bread house (aka brick toast) turned out to be priced at $13.50, which seemed a bit high. My friends and I opted out from ordering a bread house mainly due to the price. During this visit, we took advantage of their "pre sale" and ordered a regular sized honeydew shaved snow. Got an additional topping for free, so we topped our shaved snow with passion fruit popping bubbles and mochi balls, then added on condensed milk. The portion turned out to be a decent size to share amongst 3 people. (Enough to take in all the flavors and not be sick of having too much shaved snow to finish.) Also as part of the pre sale, we got a flavored milk tea for free, so we decided to try the strawberry milk tea. The flavor was not what I was expected as it had a slight bitter taste from the tea, but a tangy-ish flavor from (possibly?) fresh strawberries. The drink got better once I continued drinking it though. Haha! Lastly, we decided to try the chocolate banana waffle a la mode. All the flavors were good and syrup is also included for you to dip your waffle if you wanted to. However, the texture of the waffle was not what I expected for a belgian waffle; the outside was not really crisp and the waffle was more fluffy than I thought it would turn out to be. (Update: One of the managers told me it's a Taiwanese waffle and is meant to be soft and fluffy!) Overall, a great little Taiwanese dessert place in an area I would have not expected. Meh, this place is a pass...yes I've experienced way better. Like snowflake teahouse in Fremont... Friends and I came here after eating at a japanese restaurant on a saturday night and Ice monster was on the way back to our destination. I've heard good ratings about this place and it was my chance to check them out (I don't come out to WC that often). We ordered a regular size mango shaved ice with condensed milk & vanilla ice cream and a taro shaved ice with condensed milk & mochi balls. I ordered a regular size lychee black tea with mango bubbles because I was somewhat thirsty. I was expecting amazingly weird textured, matte looking ribbon shaved ice. But it was just ribbon shaved cream. It was ice cream. It was basic...it was not 'yonce. It was good, but not satisfying. We basically paid $7.50 for some fancy-asssk(but not really) looking ice cream. Lychee black tea with mango bubbles was abysmal. It was so bad I didn't even finish it. I left it sitting in my car for over a week...I was that disappointed. I took a sip and made a disgusted face...my friends proceeded to try it and did the same thing. It tasted as if it were expired. The mango bubbles were bad too. Just tart, sour and inedible. Ick! I'd rather drink tap water than that. Overall, service was good. Everything else was meh and eh. Review #154 - 2018 After our late lunch at Fuddruckers, I wanted to take my nephew somewhere for dessert to celebrate his 15th birthday and the boys all agreed that they were ok with coming to Ice Monster. We showed up around 6:30 PM and there was only 1 other table there so we were able to place our orders right away. I was still kind of full from my giant burger, but still wanted to try the brick toast since it was so pretty. I went with the nutella spread and green tea ice cream, which went very well together. My son seemed very happy that I ordered it since he ate half of it. He had a single scoop of their chocolate ice cream, which he said was very smooth. The birthday boy got the egg puff waffle with strawberry ice cream and mango bits, which he said he really enjoyed. My other nephew ordered the regular size bowl of honeydew melon shave snow with lychee jelly and condensed milk, which I thought was super sweet. However, he really liked it. I told the young lady who rung us up that it was my nephew's birthday and asked if they had a candle and she said she would check with the kitchen, but little did I realize that the owner would bring us our orders and even sang "happy birthday" to my nephew. Talk about great service! So glad we decided to come here--because I want another order of the brick toast all to myself the next time we go back... read more
We had the Oreo explosion ice cream cake house. It was pretty good and definitely fulfilled our late night sweet craving. The inside was really clean and the menu was well laid out but had no explanation and the young girl at the front would rather been anywhere other then at work. Given that it was about 45 mins to closing I understand the staff pre cleaning but the girl was spraying disinfectant all over the restaurant while we were still eating. Health code violation and not exactly enjoyable while trying to finish deserts. Overall good delicious variety of desserts so we will probably be back for another late night craving. read more
Woohoo! Finally, a Taiwanese snow place in Walnut Creek. I no longer need to drive all the way out to Dublin to satisfy my snow cravings. This is a great place to hang out with a group of 4-6 people for a late night treat. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but the manager is super helpful in making some recommendations and is very customer-service oriented. When ordering, you choose a size, snow flavor, one topping, and a syrup. Additional costs apply for extra toppings, fruit toppings, and syrups. Sizes to choose from: kid, regular, monster Snow flavors: too many to list Toppings: too many to list Syrup: condensed milk, chocolate, white chocolate, strawberry, caramel I ended up getting a kid size of the green tea shaved snow topped with red bean and lychee jelly drizzled with condensed milk (Note: the kid size ain't no kid size and is perfect if you're looking for your own individual shaved snow treat). Overall, I really enjoyed the flavor combinations and found the shaved green tea snow to be very flavorful. Came here later that week with some friends to tackle the monster size. We ordered the mango shaved snow and taro shaved snow with mochi, lychee jelly, and condensed milk. The mango is apparently an all time favorite with customers. I prefer more fruity flavors and I found the mango shaved snow to be more on the creamy side (think mango sorbet versus mango ice cream). However, I loved the taro shaved snow. It had such a strong impactful flavor and I would definitely order it again. I also liked how the mochi were not only different colors, but different flavors as well. We also ordered the waffle with oreos and hot fudge syrup. No complaints there. Out of what I have tried thus far, I would recommend the taro and green tea shaved snows; the mochi, red bean, and lychee jelly toppings; and the condensed milk syrup. In addition to snow, they also serve waffles, toast, crepes, and a variety of teas. Oh, and did I forget to mention the FiveStars Rewards system? For those who don't know what FiveStars is, it's a rewards program where you earn a point for every dollar you spend from. Points can be collected from any business that utilizes FiveStar. Personally, I'm saving up my points for an Ice Monster mug or T-shirt; there mascot is adorable. I am so glad there is a Taiwainese shaved snow place in the East Bay close to home and I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends here in the future. Until then! read more
My boyfriend surprised me today and told me he was taking me to a dessert place. I was so happy when we showed up at this cute little store. I saw the sign ICE MONSTER and immediately knew what we were having. Living in the east bay, there is no such thing like this. I normally drive to San Jose to get my fix. We ordered a mango shaved snow with mochi balls, and fresh mango. This place has tawainese shaved ice. It is ribbon like shaved snow. We got the waffle a la mode with vanilla ice cream. It was fantastic. Light and fluffy. I was really amazed of their quality ice cream. We were sitting there for about five minutes before we started eating the ice cream and it didn't melt! I was eating it was a fork! The milk tea came in a really tall cup. I had to lower it down to drink out of it. Boba wasn't that great, kind of hard. The tea was a tad toooo sweet. Their service was great. I was greeted, my order was taken promptly, and when we sat down to wait each person that brought us something thanked us for waiting. I really hope this place thrives.
