I love their Guatemala breakfast/ menu in general, but last couple of times I've been the music was way too loud, my eyes were red and burning from the smoke coming from the kitchen and the clanking of the dishes and cleaning was really annoying! I get the open environment between kitchen and tables but it feels like it's young kids running the place lately who are not very aware about the customer experience. It's more of a fun place to work than a place for someone to come in as a customer and enjoy working over a meal and coffee. I recommend sitting outdoors though the people who go there are also loud - it's not the coffee shop place to work like it used to be IMO. Still love it for to go coffee and food! read more

I stopped by here this past Saturday afternoon with my wife for our afternoon pick me up. I decided on Iconik mostly because it was the closest coffee roaster in the area. Finding it proved to be interesting as it is situated near an apartment complex which seemed to make parking challenging. Whenever we arrived at 2:30 or so on a Saturday the place was absolutely packed and we were maybe 8th of so in line. We would later find out that they were hosting a pumpkin carving event for kids which helped draw the crowd. The inside of Iconik was nice with their coffee roaster out in the open to see and an area with merchandise for sale. For my coffee on this afternoon I decided to change things up a bit and went with a horchata latte. About 5 minutes after ordering my latte was ready and my wife and I were on our way. My coffee here ended up being excellent as the Horchata had a nice blend of spices (cinnamon forward) which really enhanced the drink. The coffee was good as well and didn't get completely drowned out by the strong flavored horchata. It was gone all too soon after I had started drinking it and I was sad that I didn't have more. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought that my horchata latte was fantastic and also loved that they have events for the community. read more

A solid spot to get your dose of caffeine or grab a quick meal, Iconik Coffee Roasters makes a great stop in Santa Fe. The location is quite spacious, with ample seating indoors and a large outdoor patio. However, in the time of COVID, you are restricted to the outside tables (which are spaced apart). It should also be noted that they are prepared with distanced lines and they do require masks. As for the beverages, they've got all the usual coffee options as well as teas, smoothies, and kombucha. I liked the horchata latte which was not very sweet but had a nice balance with the cinnamon. You can also get oat milk if desired. Food-wise they've got the usual pastries and bagels, as well as a more extensive menu with choices like huevos rancheros, tacos, or a breakfast burrito. Later in the day choices become more diverse including items like ramen or Malaysian laksa. Depending on the direction you arrive it may not be immediately obvious, but there is a small parking lot on the side as well. Iconik Coffee Roasters worth a visit, and if I lived in town I'm sure I would become a regular. read more

I love the ambiance, drinks, and food at Iconik. I don't mind the food prices because I come here so much and like to sit for a while so I think of it as rent. BUT I'm leaving a review today because they have gotten into the practice over the past few months of blasting the music so loud it's intolerable. Just downloaded a decibel meter app and the music is at 90 decibels in here. There is hardly anyone inside so it's not chatter or dishes - that is JUST the music. It cuts through my nice noise-cancelling headphones. They do the same at the Red location. Maybe to try to keep people from staying too long? I had to yell my order to the barista. Ridiculous. The Lena St. Iconik location is less than a mile from my house, so it's nice to stop in on mornings when I don't want to make coffee at home and can also grab a tasty biscotti or scone -- they have a caramelized onion and goat cheese scone sometimes that is amazingly delicious. The coffee shop itself is cute. They play good music, and some days they have a DJ. The staff are all very kind and helpful. So, why, after saying these nice things am I giving Iconik only 3 stars? BECAUSE I HATE TEPID COFFEE! And consistently, that is what I receive. I went in this morning, ordered a dirty chai, ordered it to be EXTRA HOT, and then had to microwave my coffee when I got home because it was lukewarm. Please stop doing this, Iconik. read more

From the outside this place looks relaxing and hip and the vibe continues throughout the place. Staff are friendly and it's a very open floor plan with an awesome outdoor patio area. Lots of seating options which is nice. Breakfast burrito 3.5/5- adding chorizo for $1.50 was worth it and this was good but kind of greasy. Went to newest Iconiks location on Cerillos. Thumbs down. Will never go to any location now! You've lost my business. The breakfast bowl that I have ordered on numerous occasions for years at the Lena Street location - for which paid the same price - was half the regular portion and had only one egg instead of two. When I inquired, the person staffing the cashier couldn't explain the inconsistency between locations. The barrista chimed in (without being asked to) that the owner was experiencing inflation so he had to cut back! Really????? Like the rest of us aren't experiencing inflation??? I know the price of eggs have increased, but, give me a break! It's an egg and veggies. I have heard from others who have also experienced significantly smaller portions. Moreover, the staff was pretty self-righteous, unlike the staff at the Lena Street location -- most of whom I know on a first name basis -- they would have handled it with much more finesse and concern for customer service. Over one lousy egg, Iconiks has lost my DAILY business at all locations. This wasn't inflation. The owner just purchased a new location, so, the owner can't be that poor -- just cheap to the point of eliminating an egg and cut back on kale, potato, onion, & Parmesan cheese. It's the principle that matters, not the egg. There's so many other great places to have coffee and a good meal at breakfast or lunch-- I highly recommend Counterculture; they don't skimp! read more

With 2 cups of coffee and 2 breakfast items, it came out to $30!! That is insane for a coffee house with mediocre food. My husband ordered the egg bagel sandwich and something just didn't taste right. The bacon looked and tasted fake. I ordered the breakfast tacos. Stopped here for a bite and a coffee on our cross country road trip. After a comfortable nights sleep in the AirBNB I had a hot oat milk latte which was excellent (oatly) and I paired it with their version of the BLAT. The side salad it came with was refreshing and well dressed. The sandwich bread was excellent and the filings were fresh and paired well. Overall, excellent flavors in a healthier version of what I was expecting. Definitely a value for money. I liked it so much I even grabbed a sticker for my laptop case. Not a bad place for coffee. It is tucked away and kind of hidden as well as any parking spots! The interior is great, lots of places to sit, decorations are good and the layout is open but comfy. We ordered a plain black coffee (that is what I like) and a horchata. The plain coffee was a little bitter and I would not order it again. The horchata was well received. It is a place I would like to go and just spend some time. We were on the road so we didn't have time to stay. It looks like they were about to have some live music. In an industrial area, Iconik offers up some great roasts, as well as a large food selection, including tapas, lunch, and beer and wine. Great service at the counter and from the baristas. I've been to many coffeehouses around the country and a few internationally. There is a huge difference between the third wave of coffeehouses and your local Starbucks that's still using a spoon in the cappuccino making process. However, there is also a scale of greatness when it comes to the third wave of coffeehouse as well. I've been to Seattle several times, the understood birthplace of speciality coffee shops, San Francisco, known for the impeccable quality of restaurants and food, and New York, supposed location of Central Perk, and I must say, all should take some notes of this little tucked away location in humble Santa Fe. It's quirky. The music is sometimes loud and OUT there, but that's a little of this place's charm. You have vintage chairs and a leather sofa in the direct middle of the room, and old schoolhouse chairs accompanied by tiny round table tops looking out a massive bay window. The vibe is industrial artist with the centerpiece of the room being a huge industrial roaster, accompanied by some wild paintings on the walls, above wood and stone counters and concrete floors. It's always clean, well lit, and the arrangement of seating makes good use of the otherwise awkward shape of the space. If you want to enjoy this atmosphere though, it's best to come early or stay late, during peak time, around 9:30am, especially on weekends, this place quickly becomes standing room only. Never to fear, the patio is certainly the more pleasing option on a sunny day in Santa Fe. The service and product need to be reviewed as one, as this is more than a cup of coffee. Any one that serves you can tell you what region your beans are from, what the notes of the coffee are like and can always recommend a nice pairing with their food options as well. The only time I've seen a barista struggle is when they're a new face, and even then, they never have to ask far to find someone with the knowledge. Most baristas are friendly, but not in the traditional customer service 'fake smile' kind of way, they are a little more laid back, but inviting, and very informative, as well as always willing to teach. Some of course smile a little brighter than others, but aloof is kind of the natural aesthetic of an independent coffeehouse barista. Every morning I go, which is quickly becoming almost every morning I wake up breathing, I head to Iconik and find delicious coffee, and incredible food options every time I opt for more than a liquid breakfast. I've gotten the huevos rancheros four separate times, and they may not haver tasted exactly the same, but they certainly got better each time. Iconik also has lunch menu, of which the Santa Fe bowl is my particular favorite. I've always found their ingredients fresh and incredibly flavorful, even more so than what I can make in my own kitchen sometimes. Food and beverage are crafted with care and precision, and if you don't believe me, sit at the bar and you can watch both in action at the same time. Between the industrial hipster vibe, the service, the experience, the coffee, the food, and the ambiance, Iconik has won a truly special place in my heart in the vast ocean of independent coffeehouses I've been to in my time. I cannot recommend this location enough, and I hope that you have the amazing experience I've consistently had at this location. read more

Food seems of equal priority as coffee here and almost everything on the menu seems to be centered around some kind of Japanese marinated flank steak. I look for coffee roasters or specialty coffee shops wherever I go. Came to Iconik for its coffee, but were more impressed by its food. The coffee was good - up to specialty coffee standard, but nothing to Wow about. It will still my go-to place for latte if I am in town though. The food options and qualities, on the other hand, is above the scale for a coffee shop. Even none-coffee-lover can easily fall in love with this place because of the light food fairs.
