Seriously? Came in at a busy time and Diane, the woman usually taking care of the front of the house in the mornings, was alone, running all over the place trying to take care of everyone's orders/seating/etc. when another employee came in - who obviously wasn't due to start work yet and was here early (I think her name was Cindy). Diane yelled one front of everyone "Cindy, I need you to jump right in. Jump right in!" And Cindy's response was, "Okay, just need to go get my shirt," and walked quickly outside to get her shirt... Diane then commented to the FAMILY who she was seating, "I told her to jump right in and she went outside. She's supposed to go THIS way, but she went outside." The man in the family replied, "Well, she had to go her her shirt." And Diane just laughed and seated the family, obviously still stressed out. A couple minutes later, Diane was pulling another order, thanked the cooks, and then announced again, "I asked Cindy to jump right in and she jumped outside." Okay, Diane - unacceptable. How dare you humiliate an employee who was at work early, who is NOT required to start early when you ask but was rushing to assist you, and who was not around to defend herself when you were making numerous comments about her going outside TO GET HER UNIFORM when you asked her to - TO HELP YOU. It was absolutely disgusting to witness as a patron, and I hope that Cindy knows that everyone who witnessed that would think that Diane was in the wrong. No one should be treated like that and humiliated, especially at their place of work. Cindy was very sweet to every guest she encountered, despite having been yelled at and talked about negatively in the moments before. THAT is the kind of attitude I appreciate more than anything when it comes to the service industry. She kept her composure for the sake of her guests. I even went to Cindy to apologize on Diane's behalf, and Cindy did not say a single negative thing about Diane at all; in fact, she didn't seem like she knew what to say in response at all. I just wanted her to know that I recognize her strength in that moment, and I would not have been able to keep cool in that situation, so huge kudos to her. Bad experience. This was the worst management ever. I arrived at this IHOP at around 10:45pm. Upon arrival I was told that it would take a few minutes to clear a table for my party because we came at the same time as a high school band, and we were a larger party (6 people). This of course was completely understandable and no one had an issue with waiting. We were seated at our table at 11:05. Immediately after being seated a server came over to us and told us we'd have to wait a while before she could come help us. We asked if we could have something to drink while we waited and she replied "no" which took a few of us back. She came back after about 10ish minutes and took our orders, and our drinks came out not long after that. Here's the kicker... OUR FOOD DIDN'T START TO EVEN ARRIVE UNTIL AND HOUR AND A HALF AFTER WE SAT DOWN. Within this hour and a half we were told consistently that our food would be out in "2-3 minutes" or "just another minute". After this hour and a half wait we received our one appetizer and one out of our six dinner's. So, FIVE of us were left to eat ONE appetizer that took OVER AN HOUR to get to our table. After the one member of our group finished his dinner completely did a member of staff even pass by our table and check on us. When he came to our table he said, "so what are you guys missing" and we explained the 5 other dishes that we had not received and he said he'd get right one it... 20 minutes later 2/5 of the missing dishes came out of the kitchen (both missing their side of pancake). One of the dishes they served us had RAW EGGS (the whites of the egg were not cooked other than the outside crust... it was almost like an egg pie with the outside cooked and the inside not), the gravy on the chicken was a jelly texture, and the MEAT WAS NOT COOKED PROPERLY. Upon this complete disappointment we decided to pay for what we got (that was edible) (we were offered the senior 10% off discount for our troubles... so we didn't have to pay tax... I could of gone to Oregon for this) and we began to leave the restaurant. This means that 3 of us still did not receive food after being in the restaurant waiting for over an hour and a half. When we stood up to leave a server tried to give us ANOTHER TABLE'S PANCAKES!!! When we declined the manager tired again to get us to buy the pancakes!!! We explained we were disappointed and it being almost 1am meant that all of us had to go home and go to sleep even though 4 of us were still starving. She reluctantly allowed us to leave without buying the other table's pancakes. Long story short... I will be going to some other breakfast restaurant, and would not recommend ihop to any of my friends or family... DON'T GO HERE. read more

We came here for my mom's birthday, and it was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. We were overwhelmed with the service and friendliness of the staff, even though we had quite a large party on a busy Sunday. We had an array of various dishes -- pancakes, omelettes and waffles -- and everyone enjoyed their meals. Surprised by the other reviews - I thought this IHOP was a GREAT location! First of all the greeters/hostesses were extremely gracious and welcoming when we arrived, even though it was Sunday morning and they were slammed. They took my phone number and called me in like 15 minutes and I was impressed it was that quickly. Then they got us a great table that perfectly fit our party (which was not an easy one- 5 adults, 2 kids, and 2 babies in carseats with a huge stroller). They converted high chairs to hold the carseats, took my stroller out of the way, and even though it was crowded and we were a huge unruly party they made it work. Then the food was great! We were happy with Josie who was charming and helpful and lovely to all of us. Loved the omelet and all the pancakes and the cute chocolate chips pancakes for the kiddos. We were so happy with the whole experience. This will be a perfect breakfast spot for us from now on! read more

We were "on the road", and came to this IHOP location. Food, it looks like vomit (the sauce), long time to be attended and served, unpleasant environment, and at least, by the time we were there, we "came across" unpleasant demographics: You know when you want some peace, and JUST a little but of silence, but (rather) you find plenty of "customers" talking out loud, some in a different language, not bothering if their lack of manners bothers anyone else, and on the top of that management does not care at all? Well, some people like this mess, we do NOT. IHOP was in the past a good thing- a restaurant for the American family- but like many in America, it became unbearable to go to, for what we feel like suckers paying THIS price for THIS level of service & food. And, we have to swallow to have to give them a "tip" , bitterly of course. If you respect yourself, consider refraining from going there. They don't get 1 star because I was very happy that my food did not have that "fake butter spray" taste to it. The food was actually pretty good for what it was. Definitely better than my last few Denny's stops (which have spanned over the last 10 years), but the service was absolutely horrible. I was amazed that my food was as warm as it was because it had sat on the warming counter for so long, I was sure. We probably could have walked out w/out paying our check because everyone was completely ignoring us. We never got a refill on our waters, had to wait 10 minutes for our check - never got it - then got up and stood at the counter til it was given to us. Be for-warned this place is small, and understaffed. This is not a good option for groups, not at all: We had 8 in our group, and they asked if it was ok to seat us at two tables across from each other. The tables were slightly across from each other, and there was heavy traffic in the isle, so it was not working out, we're not yelling across to each other, ridiculous, we ended up sitting back to back to each other. My kids and I don't get to see my parents that often, and it was absolutely unacceptable to be sitting away from each other, come on now. The food was good, and came fast. Their advertised Belgian cream waffles looked nothing like the pictures did. The bacon, can you even call the thinest smallest strips of bacon "bacon"? Seriously, cheep, cheep, cheep quality of bacon. Our server was nice, but very busy, we never got water refills (I actually had to get up, and ask for some water myself, because she never really checked on us). She was just running all over the place, didn't really "serve" us. The bathrooms were not very well maintained. I almost gave this place a 2 star, but the meal was ok/good, and it did come fast. The one star is only for the service (but I did order take out so it's kinda hard to mess that up) because the food sucks!! For a restaurant that specializes in breakfast, you would expect them to know how to cook bacon??? The cooks are lazy and implement all kinds of shortcuts. If you don't want raw and rubbery bacon, you are welcome to the deep fried burnt bacon. Any decent chef knows there is NO WAY to cook bacon as fast as you cook eggs unless you cook it ahead of time and reheat it when an order comes in. That's why they deep fry the bacon when you ask for it "crispy"... Terrible; either the cooks need to be fired, or the chef does (if he's the one who came up with the stupid idea to deep fry bacon). Shame on you! The golden bacon you see on the pictures??? Keep driving. You won't find that at this location. Some people may appreciate getting bacon, eggs and hash browns in under 5 minutes... but I would much rather wait 20 mins to ensure my food was cooked TO ORDER and correctly. I generally don't frequent IHOP but a friend was coming back home from India after being gone over a year and this ended up being our rendezvous point. I think I ordered strawberry crepes and coffee. While I was expecting lousy food, it actually was worse than my low expectations and I don't think I even finished it. The coffee was even worse than the food. The only upside was we actually had a really good server, considering the quality of what you usually get at these places. Whether you are eating here or picking up to go, this iHop location tends to keep it together the best they can. First off, iHop is iHop...so don't have such high expectations from a franchise. For the most part, their Chef would have to be very incompetent to not have the templated recipes have the flavors of the food to match. Which means you can expect for your favs to taste the same at almost all locations. Anyway, I think at this specific location...the Eggs Benedict with extra Hollandaise Sauce (for the hash) is a good choice, Colorado Omelette, Brioche French Toast, classic Breakfast Sampler, or most pancake selections will do just fine. My brothers always settle for iHop's Strawberry Banana French Toast, raving about how the fruits are actually more fresh than most breakfast spots. I'd say go for it. read more

My coworkers were going here today for lunch and as I was busy, I gave them money to pick me up a simple 2 egg breakfast. I requested sourdough, bacon instead of sausage, and scrambled eggs. The items arrived via my coworkers packaged nicely in a sealed container, and it was even modern enough the toast had its own container so it didn't get soggy sitting in with the rest of my meal, bravo! Now, onto the individual items: 1. Eggs - scrambled the way I asked, warm, very well made and tasty even though they aren't organic. 2. Bacon - I wish I had ordered the sausage instead as I forgot that if you don't ask, your bacon will be soggy, limp and soft. I dont know anyone that likes their bacon anything other than crunchy, but apparently the cooks at IHOP do. 3. The hash browns were barely brown. They look like they were browned just long enough to give them color. Peeking inside the potatoes are barely cooked, and taste like green peppers. Word of advice: If you are making regular hash browns, don't cook them next to pepper infused country style potatoes otherwise your hash browns taste like green peppers, not what I wanted or asked for. 4. My sourdough toast was complete, and toasted properly, but whoever made it put about 1 tiny bit of butter on them so that it was non-existent by the time it arrived. I know I had my hopes up that this would be great, especially after not eating at IHOP for so many years after they became like Denny's, but I digress. The quality just isn't really there, it is obvious this is more about having breakfast whenever you want at a reasonable price. I paid $10 for my meal, and it came with all the extras so I cant really complain about that. All in all, about a 2.5 out of 5, but I rounded down to 2 as out of all the items in my meal, only the eggs were really good. read more

I ordered one of their seasonal combos, and you choose one eggs/hash browns/bacon/etc. combo with either an apple cinnamon crepe, pumpkin pancakes, or pumpkin French toast. I chose the crepe, but they were out of apples, so I chose strawberry instead. The crepe was actually pretty tasty. It was topped with preserved strawberries (I don't generally like them, but it tasted yummy on the crepe), sliced bananas, and whipped cream. Yum. My scrambled eggs and bacon tasted alright--those are hard to mess up. But my hash browns were yummy. I should have just ordered a huge plate of hash browns. I would totally be satisfied with that. Service was good, and prices aren't too bad. The combo I ordered was only $6.99, and their other combos range from $7-12 or so. They have a lot of stuff on their menu like sandwiches, burgers, pancake combos, Belgian waffles, and hearty meals like country fried steak and T-bone steak. My favorite 24/7 restaurant! I come here often and I am satisfied every time. Very nice combos set up that are the perfect size. It's also a nice place just to talk and catch up with some friends. It serves it's purpose well: a place to come in the dead of night and eat some mediocre food and hang out. Good vibes here. (: It's not really the place to come when you're starving because I would say the wait for food is rather long at a busy time, but satisfying in the end! I'm not really one to hate bc of a wait. Second visit to IHOP, same bad experience. I was with my wife and son. I ordered an egg white omelet, wife ordered eggs, potatoes, and bacon, son ordered the cinna-stack pancakes. The server was friendly and seemed attentive, at first, so our hopes were high. The place wasn't terribly busy for a Sunday morning. Then, the waiting started and we knew it wouldn't end well. The wait staff were sort of milling around, chatting each other up. The only people who seemed to be energetically doing their jobs were the seating staff and the cleanup staff. After what seemed like forever, our food was delivered. It looked amazing. Clearly the kitchen is on their game. But the food was room temperature. It had obviously been left sitting in the window for way too long. The icing on the pancakes was already congealing toward solid. The eggs were less than lukewarm. After we each had taken a bite, we decided to abandon ship. The waitress offered to warm it up (of course we rejected that idea) and then offered to recook---sorry, no do-overs this time. Besides, if I'd stayed, not complained, and just left a lousy tip, the staff would just chalk us up as bad tippers. If we'd just complained, we'd be complainers. But when we walk out on crappy service and leave 3 full plates of food on the table, maybe someone will get the message. We've just had too many of these bad experiences over time and we're no longer tolerant of it. It's a shame, really, because the food looked like it would have been wonderful. What a waste. But for what these people charge for an omelet (nearly ten dollars), I'm not inclined to be forgiving. I'd like hot food, please. One star for a meal not eaten. The activities on the kids menu were really fun. 8: I really liked the IHOP funny face pancake because it had chocolate chips, whip cream, cherries, it was really good. Pretty sub-par IHOP experience. French toast came out cold and food was just "meh" overall. The main problem was our server, who was rather argumentative with us. We asked if they served iced coffee -- she said yes (the menu lists 'cold brewed iced coffee' -- and then brought out an iced latte. We complained about the milk in the coffee but she said that's "just how we do it here -- that's called an iced coffee." She didn't seem to care at all that we didn't want to drink milk. After some arguing she brought out a drip coffee poured over ice, which was terrible and weak, of course. She also didn't bother to explain to us that you pay up front instead of at the table. She dropped off the bill and we left the credit card on top of the bill at the side of the table, but she kept walking by and ignoring us. Very strange. Overall: mediocre food and a slightly hostile waitress. I've liked other IHOPs, but not this one. read more

Our meals came to us cold after a half hour wait at the table without coffee or water... but they gave us new meals within minutes. Parking is crazy on the weekend. The Positive: The coffee comes in a carafe so you don't have to continuously flag down a waitress. There are plenty of booths and a lot of room in general. As long as Lil' Jon, Brown Bag and Portage Bay are still open, I will not be coming here again. I understand that Sunday mornings are busy and that it can be stressful for the workers...so I give people some slack. However, from the time we sat down I felt like our server was non-existent. We waited a good 10-15 minutes before we were even greeted. We watched employee after employee walk past us or talk to surrounding tables and not once were we acknowledged. We finally got fed up because we were thirsty and hungry, so we flagged someone down. After we put in our entire order, it took another 10 minutes for us to get drinks. When the food finally came out, our server asked us if we wanted condiments, and that took another 5-10 minutes to come. The only thing that came to our table quickly was the check. So, I have been here a few times - breakfasts on a weekend, dinners and late nights. Each time, the waiter(ess) was reasonably courteous and helpful. The food was fine, and my requests were accommodated each time. They didn't try to rush me out even when it was busy. I just don't like pancakes in general, but the rest of the food is usually well made. The lack of desserts is disappointing - just vanilla ice cream with crepes?! What?!
