One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had!! There was about a 15 minute wait for our order but it was so worth it. The eggs were nice and fluffy. The chipotle sauce added lots of flavor to it. The avocado added a touch of creaminess to it. The tortilla was grilled to perfection. The location is not too far from the ferry building so if you go on a weekend you can walk and grab a coffee and sit with a nice view. read more

One of my fave places to get a breakfast burrito! This spot was discovered by my sister when she was working in the city. Ever since then, she'll make an effort to grab this whenever she needs to go into the office. It's basically a reward. They serve many items such as pasta, bagel sandwiches, salads but I love their burritos! It's jam packed with eggs, cheese, avocado, your choice of protein and potatoes. It's wrapped in a soft tortilla; I'm just drooling as I write this. I like to add salsa and jalapeños to mine to add a kick to it. You forsuuuure will not regret trying this spot out. I was in the city visiting from SD and going to start a photo walk and wanted a breakfast burrito and this is the first spot that showed on a reddit thread. I am glad I found that reddit thread. I ordered the meatlover burrito and boy was is it delicious. I enjoy breakfast burritos and have eaten them all over the country and this one has creeped into my top 5 burritos. The burrito being grilled was such a nice touch. I imagine a simple add for them and a huge upgrade in warm and crunch for the eater. the flavors were great, lots of eggs, meat, and avocado. I would say its a bargain for its location and the amount of food and flavor packed into the burrito. It is unsuspecting as it is mostly a window with some shared outdoor seating. I sat outside but no one else did seems like a to go spot mostly. The employee was also very friendly and went out of her way to help me. read more

This is my second time ordering from Il Canto. Does not disappoint! The last time I ordered my burritos seemed bigger & more moist I did order a different burrito. This time I got the meat lovers with avocado & the regular burrito with potatoes & avocado. I was not a fan of the regular burrito, it was just lacking flavor. The meat lovers was divine & I would order that again. The last time I ordered I got the regular burrito with avocado & bacon and that was a perfect combo. The meat lovers was really good but a bit overpowering at times. Still very good. Every time you order they write your name on the bag which I love (even if you doordash which I did)! Still on the hunt for the best breakfast burrito in the city but this will for sure be on my list. read more

I'm from SoCal--OC born and raised, so breakfast burritos are a part of my regular diet. THESE ONES ARE MY FAVORITE IN SF. SOOOOO flavorful, delicious, hearty, filling, unique. I add red onions and avocado to mine, and usually get ham (this is going to change soon since I'm trying to go plant-based). I absolutely love the grill marks on the outside, which give it such a nice texturally difference to all the goopy delicious soft mess that is inside the burrito. Their chipotle sauce is A+. I order from delivery apps usually, but decided to pop by when I was in the area. They don't have a seated dining area, but there's an office building outside seated area right next to it where you can enjoy your piping hot burrito. Service was also great--the older gentleman taking my order was kind enough to refill my water before I even asked! read more

A mí no me gusta para nada el picante pero en este lugar el Chipotle le da un sabor maravilloso al huevo, queso, al avocado y al tocino. I'm quickly becoming obsessed with the veggie breakfast burrito here. It's one of my favorite breakfast burritos in the entire world. And I eat a lot of breakfast burritos. It's the combination of the smoothness of the chipotle mayo sauce, the background earthiness of just enough black beans, the warmth of a generous portion of melty cheese... and that doesn't even factor in the perfectly cooked seasoned potato chunks... or how they delicately toast the entire thing on the panini press... I could go on and on. Plus the people are all friendly and work fast, you can order ahead on their website, and they have a little outdoor seating area right next to the counter. It's so good, I went all the way downtown just for that burrito this morning. No other reason. And if they were open at night, I would go back right now for another. read more

Absolutely 10/10. This breakfast burrito was so delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked not too hard. The chipotle sauce is delicious not spicy at all but the flavor is amazing. I can see why this place was popular. Friendly staff and bunch of news articles showcasing the restaurant at the door. Quite a few customers but got our order in about 10 minutes. Saw somebody talking in a review about Jeff being stern/mean to delivery people and being put off by it- yeah if you ever come here you'll see these folks park their scooters on the sidewalk and stand in the way with their huge backpacks blocking the path and counter for other people and generally being rude themselves. I got the classic bacon and avocado breakfast burrito and so so good. My friend delivered it to me and was still warm and delicious when it got to me. I see the hype about this place! Was on the hunt for some breakfast burritos and this clearly came up multiple times. Love all the breakfast burrito options and I want to try other ones as well. Got a vegetarian burrito and it tasted yummy. I got an iced latte which was very refreshing. The owner was very nice as well and seemed to know his customers very well. I got the burrito and walked over to the new transamerica park to enjoy it there! Will definitely come back. read more

Il Canto Cafe is pretty awesome. Hella convenient for me because my office is upstairs. Back in the day, this used to be a Tully's coffee. To the right of it used to be a pretty busy Chinese restaurant. All that is gone now. This morning I got really hungry and weren't quite ready for lunch yet. The guy said good morning to me when I went out for a cigarette, so I decided to try their breakfast croissant (cheese egg sausage) $7. It was tasty! It hit the spot and I was ready for work again. This place has the best burrito i've had! I discovered it when i was around the area and trying to find an open place to buy brunch - and i feel really lucky i did! I've also tried their alfredo with shrimp and lemon bar - both really nice as well. One comment though is their coffee - it's not bad, but also nothing special, so with many other options, i probably won't get that again. You'd have to wait a bit for the service, since there's usually a line, but i'd say it's worth it. The guy who mans the cashier is very friendly and efficient, so that's a plus too. Def 5 stars, just for the burrito alone. read more

I truly think II Canto Cafe has the best breakfast burritos in the city. I found this place from tik tok and had this placed cater one of my work events. Everyone had such great reviews and we've ordered three times from this place because it's so good! I love ordering the meatlover chipotle burrito. Their prices are fair for SF (around $11-$13). You can also order them on doordash or grubhub which is nice if you are catering! The workers here are friendly. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone craving a breakfast burrito. read more

Great breakfast burritos. I haven't found a breakfast burrito that beats Nate's in SoCal/Costa Mesa but this is pretty good for SF. Overall, the burrito was well filled and not dry. The avocado bacon had good chunks of avocado and bacon. Somebody Feed Phil "Phil" recommended this place to the audience at an event, so I excpected it to be awesome, but it's more like 4.5 stars to me so I rounded up. Finding a parking spot in this area is almost impossible, so I waited in the car while my friend ordered and waited for our food. The burritos are filled nicely, so I ate half and saved the other half for later. read more

If you work in the financial district, you need to visit Il Canto Café for their breakfast burritos. Even though they are called 'breakfast' burritos, they will probably be filling enough to last you for both breakfast and lunch. One time I didn't practice self restraint and accidentally finished an entire breakfast burrito in the morning. I could barely stay awake from the food coma. That is why I learned to pace myself and save the other half of the burrito for the lunch. It's a great deal! I like the texture of the burrito because they grill it to make the skin crispy. They are really popular, so it's better to order ahead online and pick up. The wait in the morning is about 10-15 min. read more

Smaller than I expected but it does pack a lot of favor. Opted for a chicken with bacon and avocado. Chipotle sauce cuts through all of that as you bite in. Makes for one savory breakfast burrito. Cafe resides within the depths of financial district. Unfortunately there isn't any indoor seating. Small area neighboring nearby has a few but area can get windy. Walking is the better option for a visit but if you choose to drive, it is best to come by in the early AM right when they open. On the plus side, staff is friendly and efficient. Took less than 10 minutes from ordering to get my food. read more

I came here on a whim because of the Yelp reviews and I highly recommend! I'll Canto have me one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. They had a few different options so I decided to go with the avocado bacon burrito. It was neither huge nor tiny but had generous amounts of avocado and bacon inside. The chipotle scrambled eggs were delicious and I'm surprised the combination hasn't been stolen by other places yet. The restaurant itself is focused on to go orders but has a few tables outside. Staff were really friendly. Do yourself a favor and try the breakfast burritos! I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

We later found out the driver had left the food at the hotel but never told the front desk which room it was for, even though they had all of the delivery information. As a result, our food just sat there until we eventually had to go down and get it ourselves. In the end, I paid for a delivery service that I never actually received. Instead of enjoying the convenience we paid for, we had to track down our own order. Based on this experience, I would not recommend paying for delivery. If you're ordering from this restaurant, save your money and pick it up yourself. I paid for a service, but I did not receive what I paid for. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

To note, Juniper is typically busy, but I have never waited in line for more than 10 minutes, even on weekends. They also have a lot of tables for seating, but because of the flow of people, it might be difficult to find a spot. Stop by here if you're around the area! I decided to keep things straightforward and ordered the first sandwich on their Favorites menu: Oscar's Wild. It was really tasty, and the portion was generous - definitely shareable, especially if you add chips or a different side. For non-meat eaters, there are also vegetarian and vegan options, which is a plus. Since it was such a nice day, we took our sandwiches to-go and ate at Yerba Buena Gardens nearby. In addition, this cafe has the highest "mandate fee" that I have ever seen at almost 9% and an additional 18% default tip. For such a steep price, I expect the service to at least be good, but it was borderline unprofessional and the food itself is not worth it. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is that the ambiance was nice, so it was a decent place to talk even without any food.

I happen to like the casual feel because it fits well with the free-flowing nature of a museum. There were so many pastries to choose from and I'm speaking for someone who visited 5p on a Thursday evening. This time around, I opted for one of their sandwiches and no pastry. The tuna melt on whole grain. The crispiness of the toasted bread with the melted cheese and tuna was a decent meal. And yes with the Not bad for $15. I think the other reason I like this restaurant is the affordability. In Situ was pricier and with much smaller portions that it didn't guarantee you'd be full by the end of it. As for ambiance, I expected nothing less for the interior design. It is open, airy and full of light-- a modern and minimalistic environment sure to please the eye. I will be back!
