My favorite Italian restaurant in the area by far! I was a little nervous about about finding good Italian food in PA after moving from NJ a few years ago and I'm so grateful we found Il Granaio! We find ourselves coming back time after time! Rustic, comfortable ambiance. BYO wine and champagne which is great. They also have a bar with creative cocktail options and a solid wine list. Staff are knowledgeable and hospitable. They start guests with bread and olive oil/hummus and finish the meal with limoncello. Food is outstanding! You know it's an outstanding spot when you always want to try something new on the menu! My husband loves the veal dishes. The homemade pastas are fantastic. There are a few specials each night. Il Granaio in Concordville is one of our top go-to places for not only their highly creative menu selections and the excellently prepared and presented food but for the way in which Greg and Faye and our favorite server (and now friend), Gina, treat us throughout our dinners. We very much appreciate the BYOB option which is complimented by their very diverse, fairly priced, and high quality wine list. It is well worth our half hour drive to enjoy life and be satisfied diners. I especially want to share how considerate and classy they are as well. In our last visit, there was a mix-up with my order. Instead of Papardelle Veal I was served the Salmon Pepperonata. I started to eat the salmon because of how nice it looked and it tasted great - like candied salmon. Greg noticed the mistake and chose to have a Papardelle Veal made for me to take home. We spent the weekend in the Glen Mills area with friends visiting Longwood Gardens. We stopped at I'll Granaio Restaurant for lunch on our way back to New Jersey. This restaurant came recommended by a local, and we were very happy we stopped! I had the Tortellini Del Granaio, the combination of ingredients was surprisingly paired well with the port wine, cream sauce, it was amazing! Heads off to the chef! I hear that all of their sauces are perfect! We will definitely return when we checking in come back to that area! read more

First time taking a chance and ordered the 10oz sirloin steak which was delicious! Wife had the pasta bolognese which is always outstanding. This 5-star restaurant brought us 5-star food and 5-star service. I wish I could end my review here but that would not bring this restaurant the due respect it deserves. The starter bread with hummus: amazing! One of the best free bread + hummus spread I've had. The sprinkled spices on top of the hummus was a nice finishing touch. The spread had the right amount of olive oil+spices+salt. The three entrees (Prosciutto, Lunch Bronto Special w/ Veal, and the pasta dish): none of the dishes were a miss. The fries were specially amazing! The cheese that were inserted or grated or spread on the three dishes were super tasty! The entrees are truly deserving of the high praises that they are getting from fellow Yelpers! Crime Brûlée: the sugar was crunchy and torched to perfection. The yellow portion beneath the caramelized sugar was cold, which is a minus for me. However, the dessert was absolutely delicious! The appetizer was a sausage stuffed pepper. This dish was my favorite. The orange sauce had a rich mix of flavors. It was so complex that I don't think I can name all of the ingredients that went into that sauce. The service: the waitress was super attentive and nice! She had awesome interactions with my baby and my family. She explained the dishes and ingredients without any exaggeration and with plenty of incisive points. Whenever I visit Pennsylvania again, I will 100% go back to this establishment. 5/5 all the way!!! read more

We reserved that 48 limit room for a private birthday party. Greg, the manager, could not have been more helpful and reassuring about how our event was going to happen. After an initial deposit, reserving the room and the date and the menu, we were graciously allowed to bring our own flowers for the tables set up a champagne and wine bar, in addition to service at their bar, and bring a cake from a bakery as long as we also bought the dessert package at the restaurant. Several people complimented me on the chicken Parmesan saying it was the best they had ever eaten, and my guests were also raving about the grilled salmon. The food was served efficiently and hot and everything we had was absolutely delicious. Extra tables were provided for displays and I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon luncheon Gina, the head waitress, made sure that everything came out smoothly, and all special requests were promptly answered. It was truly a superb meal augmented by the facility and the wait staff. read more

We came by for lunch and had the GNOCCHI CON GUANCIA DI MAIALE, which is a gnocchi dish with beef cheeks. Loved this dish and this warrants stars. We also had the VEAL AI FUNGHI but unfortunately we did not love this dish. It was too salty and lacked flavor. Definitely would not get this again. Seems to be a popular spot for locals. 4.5/5 We had just gotten to PA from out of town, and my mom was craving Italian and we were celebrating her birthday. We were too tired to drive into Philly with all the traffic and parking hassles. Luckily, I came across IL Granaio on yelp and they had ONE table available at 5:00. They were able to push it back to 5:15 for us since I had called in at 5:00. It's BYOW but we didn't have enough time to stop by and pick up wine before the reservation since it was about a 15 min drive from our hotel. They serve beer so you can't bring that but you can bring champagne or wine. They do NOT have a corkage fee. They have their own parking lot so no need to worry about parking. We self parked. Attire was casual. We were promptly seated. Ordered the lobster bisque, calamari, gamberi fra diavolo, and a pasta special that included scallops, shrimp, etc. My parents really enjoyed the lobster bisque. The calamari was good but the breading easily fell off. I really enjoyed the gamberi fra diavolo, which is a red sauce pasta. The pasta special was also good but maybe a tad bit dry. Waiter was great, but sometimes left before we had finished saying what we needed and/or forget to bring things back to us. It was really busy on his behalf but table service was a hit or miss. The tables were kind of close together, but when you are THIS popular they need to fit in all the chairs and tables they can. There were empty tables available when we got there but by the time we left it was PACKED! They do not offer a complimentary birthday treat but said that they would put a candle on top of a dessert that you buy! Would recommend to out of towners. One of the highlights for me is that this is one of a limited number of restaurants that offers a quality Tartufo for dessert.
