Everything about this restaurant was excellent. Dedicated parking can be a little tight, but it's really nice having something right by the door. It's great to find a restaurant that offers a little breathing room from your standard restaurants in the downtown area. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated, although we did have a reservation, which is highly recommended, particularly on high peak times. A wonderful wine selection and an amazing menu . The service was great and we were treated like family. We ordered entirely too much food, but somehow it disappeared pretty quickly. A little bit was left was packed off and devoured the next day! Highly recommended restaurant when you have a craving for some fantastic Italian food and want a little break from the downtown crowds and pricing

I've driven past this place like a million times and finally decided to have dinner here. Overall, it was great! First things first, the service was top notch. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming :) The interior was what you'd expect for a nice Italian restaurant. Cozy and clean! Good, strong drink. But it's a restaurant, so obviously you want to know about the food. So, the lasagna was exceptional. It did take a while to arrive, but they were very busy, so i will forgive them. Clearly freshly made with quality ingredients. I'd definitely recommend ordering that! The price... well, it's not cheap. But, you're in Napa and it's a nice restaurant. If you're on a budget, go to Applebees. Nothing against Applebees, I go there all the time, I'm just trying to make a point here given that a few people in the reviews here are whining about the price. I'll be back for sure. Not super frequently, because I prefer to budget less for food, but it'll be perfect for special occasions. But next time I'll probably make a reservation because they were very busy!

Stopped in for lunch on our way home from a resort. It's a lovely romantic setting with white table cloth tables, a lovely bar and succulent planters outside the windows. The service was spectacular. Our waitress knew the menu and had great recommendations. Service was attentive and prompt. We started with a Cesar salad and drinks. The Eggplant Parmesan was excellent. Our waitress even mentioned she loves the dish. My husband had the lasagna and it was also very tasty. We look forward to visiting again, we appreciate the food and service we received. I will try the Orrechiette pasta dish next time.

A friend of mine took me here while I was in Napa for the day. Couldn't wait to go back. It's been a year but the food was just what I remembered. Tasty! You would never know from the outside of the building or location, but very cute inside and attentive staff. GET THE STUFFED OLIVES!!!!

Great food and experience. Was running a little late for a 6pm dinner reservation -called and the hostess was extremely friendly and accommodating. Already starting off on a strong foot. Had a variety of food including gnocchi, octopus, calamari, garlic bread, tiramisu and panna cota. Everything was delicious with the octopus being a stand out. Waiter was friendly and helpful and service was extremely fast

I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Il Posto Trattoria, and the entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Since we were a party of seven, I called ahead to reserve, and the staff was very kind and accommodating throughout the process. When we arrived, our table was ready, and we were seated right away. The ambiance was warm, welcoming, and perfect for a special evening. We started with drinks, and the highlight was definitely the Watermelon Margarita--refreshing and delicious. For appetizers, we shared several dishes: Octopus - perfectly tender and flavorful. Il Posto Garlic Bread - absolutely to die for, one of the best garlic breads I've ever had! Bruschetta - not usually my favorite, but my friends loved it. Sautéed Calamari - unique with its Italian sausage sauce, but very tasty. Margherita Pizza - excellent, highly recommend. For entrees, everything impressed us. Several friends ordered the Orecchiette, which was a hit. I had the Radiatore with shrimp and pesto--incredibly fresh and authentic. The Rigatoni and Bucatini del Pescatore (a hearty seafood stew) were also outstanding. The birthday girl chose the Lasagna, and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. To finish, we shared a Tiramisu cake and what seemed like a peach cobbler with ice cream. The staff surprised my friend with a pastry and candle, which was such a thoughtful touch. The portions were generous--most of us left with to-go boxes. Overall, Il Posto Trattoria delivered on food, service, and atmosphere. I would absolutely come back and recommend it for both special occasions and casual dining.

Chicken Alfredo* not on the menu!

If you're visiting Napa and want to know where locals go... it's here!! I'd say this is our favorite Italian food! I apologize for not enough photos but we just wanted to dig in! The food is so good here. Everything is bursting with flavor! Salads, breads and pasta are fresh. Portions are large enough to share. They make the best minestrone of anywhere. My niece is gluten free, so she was able to eat a rich vegetarian sauce with gluten free pasta. My nephew wanted chicken Alfredo one time and they said "it's not on the menu, but we can make it" it's probably the best I've EVER had and that move absolutely made THIS their favorite restaurant, and they go often. He never gets anything else! Deserts are so good you can't decide which one, and we've had them all. Dinner time on a weekend is pretty busy, you can make a reservation for 8, but it is always loud.... Cuz it's packed! Cuz it's a local favorite!!

Beyond the Main Street Buzz - A True Napa Gem Just a few minutes away from Main Street Napa, away from the big crowds and wine-wannabes, sits this little gem that truly feels like a locals' spot. We stopped here after visiting Castillo di Amorosa with my boyfriend's parents visiting from NOLA, and wow -- what a treat. The food was delicious, but honestly the star of the show was the service. Our server Tania was beyond attentive, kind, and sweet -- the kind of service that makes you feel at home. We all went for the special: Chicken Parmesan on tagliatelle topped with vibrant pesto. At first, I was suspicious of that combo -- a bit unusual -- but it turned out amazing. Crispy chicken on the outside, juicy inside, with pasta that was clearly homemade (as all their pastas are). The pesto brought it all together. We also ordered garlic bread -- it took a little longer since they bring it fresh out of the oven, but it arrived just in time to wipe our plates clean. Worth the wait. We sat in their outdoor area -- the weather was perfect, well shaded, and it made the whole lunch feel even more relaxed. Even the restroom got my attention -- nothing to be excited about design-wise, but extremely clean. So clean you could have eaten there (not that you should, haha). The bill for four of us, with tip, was about $160 -- pretty great for the quality, the portions, and the whole experience. Closing note: In a valley full of fancy hype and tourist traps, Il Posto reminded me what real hospitality feels like: simple, genuine, and delicious. A place worth coming back for. #HiddenGem #NapaEats #FoodieFind

Extremely let down by this restaurant, which claims to be authentic Italian but falls short, especially considering the high prices. The waiter was pleasant and spoke softly, almost in a whisper; a bit more volume would have been appreciated. The water had a noticeable mildew taste, which is quite unpleasant. We were seated despite having made reservations, which seemed unnecessary since the restaurant was not busy at all. There was oil and vinegar on the table, but no bread or any starters, which is something you would typically expect at an Italian restaurant. We ordered pizza, salad, pasta, and lasagna. The pizza was slightly burnt and excessively oily on the bottom and crust; the Blanca pizza was decent but also very greasy. The Caesar salad was good, but I did find a few wilted, brown leaves in it. The lasagna appeared and tasted old, not freshly prepared. It reminded me of canned Chef Boyardee. The ricotta was barely a spoonful, and the pasta tasted like it was from a can and looked aged. The pesto pasta almost seemed stale and was not enjoyable; it tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Didn't even offer fresh grated Parmesan for $30+ a plate of trash. I am thoroughly disappointed with this place; it will be my first and last visit. Given the prices they charge, the quality of the dishes is not worth it, and I would never return, especially since I can't understand how others rave about it. The clientele mostly consists of older retired individuals, rather than a mix of younger or middle-aged patrons; it seems to cater more to seniors. Overall, I am dissatisfied and do not believe this is authentic Italian cuisine as I've had many experiences elsewhere nothing like this dissatisfaction of quality in food and presentation.

This is a small, quaint restaurant that can be as little loud. Just the same the service was excellent and so was the food. The lasagna was delicious. I really liked the sauce and the portion size. My husband ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it too was delicious. We compared them side-by-side and we couldn't tell which one we liked better. We came on a Tuesday evening and it got pretty packed. I would definitely come back to this restaurant if I was in the Napa area again.

We came here for our anniversary dinner during our napa visit. Place was packed for dinner on a weekday and we were glad we made a reservation. The ravioli was delicious but the lasagna was average. The drink was a bit too strong for my liking. Maybe we'll try this place again, maybe not?

She opened a bottle of wine that we had brought with us to celebrate. (Crock fee was $25, fyi). She even offered to pour our wine into a decanter. We started off with some appetizers, the crab cakes and skirt steak satay. OMG these two items were just absolutely delicious. So much flavor! For our entrees I ordered the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo and my husband ordered the Linguine Frutti Di Mare. Again, the food was absolutely amazing. We definitely will be coming back. One of the managers, Stephen, stopped by our table and welcomed us with complimentary glasses of Prosecco for the birthday celebration, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. We started with the Pasta Fritta con Prosciutto--crispy, rosemary-scented pasta dough wrapped in prosciutto with mascarpone espuma, honey, and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We also shared the Caesar Nero, made with little gem lettuce, black garlic, and Parmigiano crostini, which was fresh and flavorful. For cocktails, we both ordered the Porch Punch. Made with Redwood Empire Pipe Dream 101, yellow peach, oolong tea, lemon, vanilla, and clarified using the milk punch process, it tasted like a refreshing peach tea. The etched ice cubes with wine glasses and utensils were a small detail that made the presentation even more memorable. For our entrées, Face ordered the Salmon Risotto, while I had the Carbonara. Delicious without being drowned. The soup was hearty and well seasoned. My wife loved it so much we ordered a quart to go. That is saying a lot as she is not a huge fan of Italian cuisine. Now, I am kind of a pizza snob so, my expectations weren't that high. Wow! Was I wrong! The crust was crisp with a soft center. The sauce was perfect, not too much or too little, just right. The Caesar salad was surprisingly lemony and refreshing. Everyone loved the pizza for the small crispy pepperonis and hot honey flavor. And the pasta was simply delicious. The gelato was the most interesting item of the meal -- they brought it out for a birthday we were celebrating. It had pine nut oil on top, which gave it a distinct popcorn / kettle corn taste. It was the kind of dessert you try knowing that you'll likely never get anything like it anywhere else!

They are so, sooo good together! Please make sure to order them as a pair! Chopped Salad- loved the combo of bitter radicchio and crisp lettuce tossed in a light dressing with local Rancho Gordo heirloom beans. Corona Beans- giant, super creamy white beans with garlic and capers. This was an instant favorite at our table! Farm Raabs- tender, charred broccolini with a great wood-fired flavor. I just had to pick out the pancetta but they were delicious. Pastas (Mezze Rigatoni & Agnolotti)- both dishes contain pork/meat so I passed but the rest of the table absolutely loved them. Lamb Sausage Pizza- another dish I skipped due to the meat, but everyone else devoured it! The hospitality was wonderful and our server was so accommodating and attentive with our group. To top off a great night, they brought out three birthday gelato desserts for the celebrants in our group. I loved the vibrant energy and open kitchen concept. We will definitely be back!

I still had to pick my kid up from school, so it just made sense to slide somewhere close by that never misses. Pulled up to Ristorante Pasta D'Oro -- this was my third visit -- and just like every other time, it delivered. Honestly, it might've been even better. We grabbed the regular spaghetti and split it between my two sons. Plenty of food, easily enough for two. I did ask about the spaghetti and meatballs since they usually run that as a special, but it wasn't available today. Still, the regular spaghetti held its own with no problem. I also picked up the mixed greens salad, and the vinaigrette is different in the best way. It's flavorful, balanced, and seriously one of the highlights. When I brought it home, my fiancée tried it and immediately said I should've asked for extra. I didn't realize it was going to be that good, but now I know. Pro tip: ask for extra dressing. We grabbed the penne pasta as well, which my fiancée said was great. And once my toddler finished his spaghetti, he went straight to helping her with the penne. That's how you know it's fire. On the side, I ordered the mozzarella sticks -- handmade, big, crispy, and cooked perfectly. I believe it came with about four to six, but they're large and filling. Everything was 10 out of 10. If I could give it a million out of a million, I would. Since I can't, it's a solid five out of five stars every time. Pasta D'Oro for the win.

We ordered the ribeye dinner, shrimp Alfredo, misto frito, and bread pudding (bread pudding was DISGUSTING because it's premade and microwaved). There's a few things that could be a lot better 1. Dining-in wait time was long even without no one dining in. 2. Our food came out very very cold 3. Mash potatoes lack creaminess and flavor. 4. We had to ask for the complementary bread and olive oil which was premade low quality. The ribeye was juicy had flavor the veggies was perfection in flavor the mash potatoes whew failed miserably almost tastes like box mash potatoes. Chef needs to get the mash potatoes recipe together asap. The portion size of the sides are very very small. Especially for the price you're paying for the ribeye dinner. The Alfredo was a chef kiss perfection ! Stay away from the BREAD PUDDING AT ALL COST!
