I asked for no onions and she said they don't come with onions, then I ordered four more burgers and she asked do you want onions with those I said oh I thought you said they don't come with onions and she said rudely; "I have to ask" and then we asked for a hot chocolate for my daughter and she rolled her eyes and when I walked away I thanked her and she waited until I turned and said thank you in a funny voice like she was mocking me. Then when the hot chocolate came out she rudely called my daughter over and told her; hello, hello, this is yours. I didn't want to act like her in front of my daughter so we walked away. Unfortunately the food I ordered was not cooked properly, it was completely undercooked (Look at my picture and see for yourself). We were served undercooked ground beef which could easily made us sick/disease. Seems to me this location didnt follow proper protocol. Issues could be, cooking timer is broken/not properly checked/calibrated, could be the cook doesnt follow the timer and removes them before the timer has finished by looking at the burgers and saying they look cooked and/or took the wrong batch of burgers off the grill. Other issue could be temp/gas isn't properly working/outputting the heat needed to cook the food completely with the given time. Either way I was completely disappointed with the quality of food I was served. I ended up calling the 1800 number while traveling back to the Porter Ranch location and letting them know I was going to this specific location to return the food. The lady on the phone was really nice (Jackie) and understood my concern. She immediately apologized for the inconvenience and said if I wanted my order remade, so I agreed. I was placed on hold while she called the location so they can start working on my order as I was close by and already driving back. My reorder was done and the manager at the time assured me it was cooked well done this time. Thankfully this time it was well done. Well I generally love in n out. I have been to this one many times without anything wrong. Customer service has ways been on point. Today, however we ordered a few burgers and one of the buns had mold. Yikes! Didn't realize it til we got home since burgers were in a box. However, it was facing up, someone could have noticed? I lined up in the restaurant and gave my order to the cashier but the dude registered my order as one coming from the drive-thru. I ended up waiting 20 minutes (after multiple people who ordered after me already received their food) and found that they had tried to give my order to a car in the drive thru. I have always had issues with this location. The inside has been dirty the past few times, so I began going to the drive thru only. Besides messing up my order multiple times, I still kept coming back to this location. Well, not anymore... I have never been helped by an In N Out employee as rude as Savannah. I notified her that a car had cut everyone in the line and she responded by taking that cars order and mumbling into her headset resulting in another In N Out worker coming outside to stand behind her while she took my order instead of asking the people who cut the line to go to the back. I'm not sure if this man was just an employee or the manager... He didn't introduce himself or talk to me.. He just stood over her shoulder and stared at me while I ordered. Didn't catch his name. He went back inside as soon as I was done talking to Savannah. Way to make that obvious. Regardless, for Savannah to reward bad behavior and then send a man outside to make a girl feel uncomfortable because I'm the one who brought the issue to your attention is complete insanity. No morals here, and if that actually was the manager... Then the management department is severely lacking in professionalism and customer service. Intimidation is not something I want to feel because Savannah didn't have the class or professional backbone to tell the car they wouldn't be rewarded for cutting everyone in the line. Moral of the story, go to any other location. The staff here is honestly out of line. Hassle free order your food, yes there is a wait but it is overshadowed by all the other good things. Even if you are on a diet, they have the protein option. The fries is fresh, the burger is fresh, the tomato is fresh, the onion is fresh, the lettuce is fresh, the bun is fresh and they make it to order. Their Milk Shake is fantastic. They have convenient hours, professionally trained employees, fast, delicious. What else is left to say. No matter what restaurant you go to and spend a fortune, even these new franchises that look good on surface but they are very expensive are not a match to In & Out. They have different combos as most In-N-Outs, but the staff here makes a huge difference. The staff is great. The amount of people that flow thought this place on a daily basis is significant. They drive through is usually packed, as well as the inside. The staff hangs in there, stays professional, and keeps a smile with a great attitude. Sometimes the wait is long, but its as quick as the amount of people that are ordering at the time. Just be patient, because it is well worth it. This location has been one of the go to places for me & my friends especially on a Friday or Saturday night passed 10. Service has consistently been friendly & helpful no matter how busy it gets. Due to its location in the shopping center, drive-thru tends to wrap around the building. My go-to is a Cheeseburger (grilled onions & extra toast) & Well Done Fries. Rating is based on a comparison to other In-&-Outs. Because if you're a Cali person, then you should already like In-&-Out and these ratings are more for if it's a good location/service or not. And if you're not a Cali person, then you should try it out and compare to your hometown favorite. But ask around for the (not so) "secret" menu. Food is as fresh and fast as every other location. Service is always fast and friendly. What gives it the higher rating is the fact that it's probably one of the most convenient locations to get to. Right off the 118 in the Porter Ranch Shopping Plaza. So there's plenty of parking versus I just a small lot off to the side for walk-ups only. There's a dedicated indoor dining area so you don't have to eat outside or in your car or wait to get home. Remember: food adventures are out there. So eat 'em up! read more
