Since it's to go, we asked for the fries to be extra crispy, which turned out really good. We have ordered four double doubles with grilled onions. However, they came with raw onions. As In-N-Outs go, this location is BUSY. We arrived, and there was literally a line going out of the door. I find that most In-N-Outs have the same quality of food. The food was pretty good, I got myself the usual cheeseburger animal style, and some Animal style fries. I could actually just eat massive amounts of animal style fries. The staff was fast, nice and able to serve people fast. Amongst this chaos, they were also able to keep the restaurant nice and clean. So I'd lowered them from a "Smashburger-type" experience to a "Wendy's-type." But with all the hype, and the legends, the Not-So-Secret "Secret Menu," I've gotta say that my expectations were still pretty high. Allow me to say this clearly: IN-N-OUT is FAST FOOD. It's a FAST FOOD BURGER. Like McDonald's. Like Burger King. Or Wendy's. Sorry to you fanatics, but that's all there is too it. 2 people can eat copious amounts for less than $8. That's Fast Food. It cannot be compared to Fast-Casual places like SmashBurger, where it's easily twice as much $$ to eat. , and where quality is leaps and bounds better. SO- That Being Said: When comparing it to comparably priced, comparably outfitted establishments... (That's FAST FOOD, people. McD's. BK) I'll say very definitely that In-n-Out is Superior. But with all the hype and build up and crazy fanatics, and even despite my lowered expectations, I still expected more. I mean, it was *decent* but it certainly didn't *WOW* me. Also: the Service. Buncha kids, looked barely old enough to be in High School. We were there on a Sunday late afternoon, and the place was packed. So, I walked up to the counter, I ordered a 1X1, Animal Style, no tomatoes. He stared at me blankly for a moment, and said "Do you mean a Cheeseburger?" Uhhh, Pal? This is the stuff of Legends. There are countless Wiki pages and Blogs dedicated specifically to HOW to order at In-n-Out. And you don't know what ANIMAL STYLE means? Seriously? My hopes weren't high. But he seemed to figure out that we wanted 2 Animal Style Cheeseburgers without Tomatoes, and a side of Animal Style Fries. We waited. And Waited. Our number was called, we got the food. And it looked good. Much better than anything you'd see at MickeyD's. The "Spread" (Sssh. Just pretend it's not 1000 Island) and chopped onions on the fries was awesome. Which is good, because their fresh-cut fries were dry and mealy, and would have been inedible were it not for the topping. (They were also not very warm. This I attribute to the service, not the food quality. Also, I am not a potato person in general.) The Burgers? Fresh Lettuce. And lots of it. Again with the chopped onions, mixing well with the "Spread." These were warm, so they tasted good. Meat and cheese better than average fast-food quality. A decent burger. I tasted no Mustard-Seared beef patty, though, and upon inspection, saw no Seared-Mustard crust or anything resembling it. Again: maybe it's different in California. Overall, for less than $8, it was certainly a decent meal for the money. I just think that In-n-Out is a little overhyped, and that reputation gives it a lot to live up to. This experience didn't leave me jonesing to run back to In-n-Out. I didn't even buy a Bumper Sticker. read more

What can you say about the best burger chain ever opened in the US? First off, the service is exactly the same no matter which location you are at- AWESOME. The staff are always in a good mood and they hustle! I have yet to see one In-N-Out employee slack off. Ever. More importantly than that though, is the incredible food. The burgers are consistently perfect and the fresh fries are unbeatable. I used to eat In-N-Out a few times a month when I lived in California but now that I am in Colorado, I can't! I bought a shirt from Utah county for our friends visiting from New York but it was too small so on our way driving to California I decided to stop by StGeorge and exchange the size. The shirts are out the plastics coz my friends had to try them but when I asked my husband to exchange them the manager said they cannot since it's open. I was like, well how would you know it doesn't fit if you don't try it. So my husband told me the manager said they cannot exchange it so I called the American fork location where we bought the shirts originally and they said they will change it no problem. So I decided to go in myself and speak to the manager. I explained to him that I called the American fork location and no questions ask they had no problem exchanging it so I was wondering why he won't? He was like, you know what let me just exchange it. I feel like he could've just done it in the first place anyway but anyhow at least he changed it. But only giving it a 4 coz of the first impression and waste of time him saying NO to start with. From the simplistic menu (thank you!), clean, sharp looking uniforms, hard working employees and professionalism this has become one of my favorite stops thus far. Everyone was hard at work and they all seem to be happy to be working here. Being from the East, we dont get to eat these wonderful burgers that often. That difference also enables me to make the following observations: 1. Their drive inn operations are enviable. An on-foot dedicated attendant takes your order far back in the line. Their no frills menu makes ordering quick. 2. The lines can be long, but they move quick. As you move closer to the checkout window, you get see their well manned clean kitchen and everyone is hard at work building burgers. 3. Their condiments are generous and fresh. 4. The burgers are double wrapped, with a thin tissue paper on the inside. Watch you dont bite into it. 5. The buns are good and soft, too soft. They tend to break up and fall apart. 6. This is somewhat out of the way, but if you are entering or leaving Zion this shouldn't be too much of a detour for delicious hamburgers and fries. I am a waiter at a sit down burger joint just down the street from In-N-Out. Like most sit down restaurants it takes a few minutes to get your food after you order. What I cannot understand however, is why does it take just as long for In-N-Out as it does my sit down restaurant. If you decide to give the drive through a try, you might want to reconsider, you will WAIT. It should be called a drive up, you will likely spend 10 minutes or more if you have any sort of a line. On my last visit to the store, there was an off the clock employee disrupting the working staff, kept pulling them aside and even had both cash register people speaking to him instead of taking orders. He kept flirting with the girls and got the staff to fill his order before the rest of . . . This is typical In-N-Out activates in my experience. I love in-n-out, and I come here at least once every 2-3 weeks. Their fresh elements are delicious, their sauce is drinkable, I just wish their fries were as good as the rest of the food! The animal fries are one of my favorite menu items but the actual fries themselves are well....pitiful. There is no potato, it's just the skin filled with air. Idk why but something needs to change!
