Such a treat! My husband and I dropped by on a mini road trip. Really good food. Fell in love with the sweet lassi! I'm only sad they're not closer to our home! In covina and the west covina area. they seem to b the only store of its kind and they do a great job @ it. Been here about 5 years & we've finally came in because we wanted some tasty Chaat type of food. The owner seems super cool. The staff seem pretty friendly. We tried the Dhai Puri, Bhel Puri and both were pretty darn good. The Pani Puri is a bit lacking...but being from Gujarat, that has some high standards to beat. We also has a plain dosa and it turned out pretty well. The owner was nice enough to give us a free taste of the daily food they make. Most of it was pretty tasty. In the near future, I will definitely be trying a dish of those. For now, we'll give the 4 stars for taste. A couple items are about 10% too costly, but I'll update if anything changes. read more

India Fresh is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to LA suburbs. Everything was phenomenal, I had a couple of samosa, chana purri, and I believe there some eggplant. EVERYTHING, and I can not stress the word everything anymore, was fabulous. I love coming here for the food, but the service makes me want to come back time and time again! I remember the owner asking how I had heard about the store and I told him I read excellent reviews on yelp, and he just smiled because you can tell how much pride he takes in his work. There are very few people out there like him, but I proudly will continue to patronage his business and help spread the word. Food is really good coustomer service is bad. Cashier guy who was working last 10/31/15 Saturday around 2:00 pm got really upset just bcz I told the person I knew to make me Roti. That's not nice way to treat coustomer. Owner and person cooks in the back are really amazing. read more

I'm giving IF 4 stars because I'd really like to see small businesses like this succeed. I needed some curry leaves and mango powder but we saw some really imaginative pakoras in the case and some tasty looking dal in steam pans and decided to eat. The potato/cauliflower was fine, as was the chana, raita but the naan was really outstanding. I'm sort of over naan, but this stuff was chewy/crisp and not drowned with grease but a light touch of ghee. IOne pakora was a chile dipped in batter and stuffed with some tasty potato and I don't even know what the veg pakora was, but it has to rank among the most interesting I've ever had...a kind of ball of various veg that got cut up and either toasted or fried and served with a tamarind sauce and green chutney that were perfectly serviceable. I'd have thought it to be a new business, as the shop assistant and the fellow who served us were both SO nice and helpful (one guy was speaking spanish too!) However, he told me they'd been open some five years. It's not fantabulous like some places in Artesia, but not jank either and perfectly good. Extremely hospitable, as others have said here, like you were eating at someone's house. It's the kind of thing that I wish there were more of. Really neat feel. Who'd have thought that in a tiny strip mall you'd find a well stocked Indian grocery and good food to make the trip worthwhile! Go India Fresh! read more

This is our go to place for quick Indian food in the recent past and we haven't been disappointed. Excellent food that won't break your bank. You could enjoy variety of dishes and snacks of which my favorites are pani puri and bhel puri. We also buy a lot Indian junk food that comes in handy for the late night cravings :) read more

This is by far the best Indian food in San Gabriel valley. It is located in a small Indian market which is also great in itself. The food is fresh, great quality and at a great price.
