My very first time eating Indian food! The guy who served my food was so nice. He lets you try all of the items in a tiny bowl. Which is nice because like I said I've never tried it, so I had no idea what was what lol. So that was really cool. I got the chickpea soup side, chicken curry, and a veggie and chicken coconut curry? (Sorry if I named them wrong) I also got rice and nam, I think. It was like a giant soft garlic tortilla. Bomb! Everything was full of flavor I've never experienced so many spices on one dish lol. The chicken has bones. I was expecting boneless chicken but, hey still good! Very messy but delish. Giant portions too. Next time I want to try butter chicken curry. I'll def be back. Knocked off a star cus the actual place lacks maintenance, and also cus I've never had any other Indian dish so my version is bomb might not be what you expect if you have tried it before. read more

I've driven by for years and always thought it was strictly a grocery store. It's actually a hidden gem. The family is very courteous and helpful. Their food was outstanding and full of flavor. I have eaten Indian for many years and this is up there with the tastiest of them. Don't be fooled by the store when you walk in. Walk to the back and order the combo. They don't do buffet. You get rice with a choice of two sides and naan. For a dollar more you can have a third choice added. They've got about a half dozen small tables and the location is very clean. Enjoy! read more

Been looking for good Indian food local to me for a while now, and I'm done looking. Small place, combination restaurant and store, business owner is right there usually to say hi and make small-talk while helping customers or employees. Went in with another, got a bit sidetracked with small talk and ended up accidentally ordering two extra orders of butter chicken, owner gave us a bunch of extra rice for free, kept asking if we were sure we wanted to order so much, et cetera. I'm glad we did, poured both extra orders of the curry into a big bowl and ate from it with the rice since Saturday and it was just as lovely each time. Definitely coming back here. Ended up buying some sweets and other groceries too, the Lychee berry juice was delicious. read more

I really didn't like this place. I trusted all the positive reviews and went there for lunch one day when I was craving Indian food. They have a very small selection of curry and it's all very watery. Their combo comes with a large portion of bad rice and apparently they think that will fill you up. After I ate the small amount of food I got, I had to go to Carl's Jr. In the same parking lot just so I wouldn't go back to work hungry. I was very disappointed. read more

Tried this place on a whim to discover the taste of Indian Cuisine and to my surprise this discovery caused an obsession. After trying their Tandoor Special, I was in love. I came back almost on an everyday basis to try more and more of this delicious food without destroying my wallet. Their curry makes me slightly tear up with joy and heat. All of the paneer dishes are amazing and nothing can beat their eggplant dish. I have become friends with the owner after he noticed me frequenting his place and my utmost satisfaction with his food. I bring everyone I know to this place to experience the food and have never had a dissatisfied friend with the dishes or snacks. I have tried numerous other Indian restaurants that have yet to come close to the price or the quality of the food, not to mention the portion. Oh thank you India Fresh for coming to my hood! After spending so much time pining for Indian cuisine, I finally decided to branch out and make my own. First things first, lots of recipes to research. As in just about ever culture..each area of each country has their own way of making a certain dish, then things vary from individual house to house! So after piecing together what I thought to be key ingredients and hitting up a friend for some advice, I had my list. Now where to find all these wonderful spice and fresh ingredients..without breaking the bank? My budget for spices and produce was about $25, which worried me considering that I don't have too many savory Indian spices in my cupboard, so I would be buying everything I needed. Anyway so I did a quick google search and found India Fresh very very close to my home! Yay me! I walked in and saw the little eatery in the back...hmmm, smells good. Went to the spice aisle and got most of what I needed. After the guy behind the counter reappeared (I didn't know he was attending to something at the lower region of the counter, so i was surprised when he appeared seemingly out of nowhere), I asked him to help me find the rest of the things on my list. He was super pleasant and friendly and I got everything I needed. I went up to the counter and started to sweat it out...did I stay within budget? Yes I sure did! 17 bucks n some change! YES!!! As I was paying the gentleman working there offered me some samples of their curries. Oh heaven! It was so good! My 6 year old, who is a mac n cheese only kinda gal, decided to try some of the rice..which she loved...and then she even went after the curries! She liked it! Miracle! I've only been here once and it was about a year ago. My dad lives in the area and I convinced him that we should try something new (to him), I suggested Indian, and he agreed. While I was definitely not expecting a formal restaurant, we were a bit surprised that the "restaurant" is basically a couple of hot trays set up in the corner of a little store/market. There's some tables set up as well, if you feel eating there instead of takeout (which we used). I have no problem with the set-up. just giving you a heads up if you were in the area, craving Indian food, and planning on taking a date. Make sure your date's a low-maintenance kind of chick/dude! As for the food itself, when we went it was still all vegetarian, though I read in other review that they now serve meat options as well. The food was good, though without the option of my go-to faves (chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, coconut curry) it was somewhat experimental for me. Not to worry, the helpful guy behind the counter provided us some samples to help make up our mind. We ordered a couple of combos so we could try out a variety of dishes (can't remember any of the details, but I think one of them was lentils, yum), and each combo also came with yogurt and pickled vegetables. It was a good value for the money (assuming AYCE Indian buffet is not available to you). I definitely recomment if you're in the area and don't feel like driving far. read more

Discovered this place through other Yelp reviews. I come mainly for the deli in the back of the store that serves vegetarian indian dishes. Price is very reasonable for a combo that includes rice, yogurt sauce, naan and your choice of two dishes. Food has always been good and portions are good size as well. Great find!
