A friend and I went for lunch on a Monday, and what we experienced was real high quality Italian food, done right. Their marinara sauce was excellent--it had a garlic base to it, as far as we could tell; I practically wanted to drink it as a soup! We think this is the test of a truly good Italian restaurant. The meals we ordered, a lasagne and veal parmigiana was absolutely flavorful--the veal was terrific meat, and the cheeses were very fresh and made it all a terrific, hearty meal. Even their salad wedge was a meal unto itself, with prosciutto as well as bacon and large pieces of bleu cheese. The portions are big--and well worth the money, which is all a totally decent price for what you get. Keep up the great work, Ippolito's-- stay just as you are; we'll certainly be back to try other things on the menu!! read more

I LOVE this place! They have the best garlic knots in the South. I know its a small chain store and they try to be fancy (but they a good friday night family dinner) than what they are but I would definitely come here for just the bread. read more

Ipps!!! What happened to you???? This used to be our go to fav Italian place! We had HORRIBLE service, our waiter may have been the worst one I have ever had. Our dish was watery and flavorless and much smaller than normal. Our sauce for the rolls was so salty We could not even eat it. Service was adequate. For years I enjoyed most any selection I bought from Ippolito's. I was very disappointed 2 years ago and finally gave Ipps another try. Very disappointed! Salad cold and over dressed and shrimp poorly seasoned. I had enough garlic to send any vampire running for the next year! What happened??? read more

Went today with my 7 year old who loved it and can't wait to go back. Service was impeccable. From the time we arrived to the time we left, the waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing especially the garlic rolls with the marinara sauce. Will definitely go back for another visit and try something else on the menu. read more

Very disappointing experience. We were craving pasta and wanted something better than the local Olive Garden. Hadn't been to Ippolito's in several years, but recalled the food being good. We were seated right away, but waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive. I could tell my son's pasta Alfredo had been under the heat lamp for a while as it was starting to harden a little. The waiter blamed the delay on the time it took to cook the Calzone. Caesar salads were barely dressed. Generally very underwhelming and not worth the $100 we spent on dinner for 4. Probably won't return. read more

Well, this is usually a sure bet of a choice. Tonight, I had my elderly mother and daughter with me along with other family. I asked , since they put the whole dish in the oven, if they could split the order on 2 plates for them to share. The manager came and said no. We argued a bit, I asked "do you have plates, a knife and a spatila5in the kitchen?" She said they will not put it on 2 plates because "we don't do that" so I burned my hand , and did it myself. I just can't believe that this request was so unreasonable and that they could not split a dish for me on 2 plates. The manager was so rude and obviously unhappy having to be here. This manager had short blonde hair and was completley unwilling to accommodate the most simple of requests. Ironically , my entree came out cold and help was nowhere to be found. I then overheard her talking about us to another employee. Atlanta has too many good restaraunts to have to fight to be treated decently. LAST TIME HERE !!! read more

A few years ago I would have gave Ippolito's 4 or 5 stars . The food was awesome and it had a good selection . Now the food is average at best . I still love their bread and the service is still top notch . I'll give it another try, maybe it was just a bad night in the kitchen , read more

The menu changed since the last time I went here. The new menu is hard to read and several very good meals and drinks were removed from the new menu. It appears this was to increase prices, which is understood from time to time. Costs increase over time. The waiters are friendly and the atmosphere is friendly. They are very skimppy with the volume of wine they pour. Customers pay for a bottle of wine with one glass of wine and they are cheap on the pour - come on. I will likely use them in the future as carry out pizza. read more

We drove from Nashville to Atlanta just to eat at Ippolito's. Our server, Terry, was outstanding! He was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. The manager noticed my husband holding the door open for people and even brought us complimentary dessert! We had been here once before and had wonderful service and food. We thought that the food and service might be different when we came back a year later, but it was wonderful! The bread is absolutely to die for! We even took some back to our hotel room, heated it up the next day, and it still tasted fresh! Great food and service! read more

What a bad experience. I think they were very understaffed. Worse service we have received ever. No offer of refills, we sat there with empty drinks. Food delivered without side plates. Salads came out fast but our entrees took forever. As time past our server started to avoid our table. I went to the kitchen to find her and asked when we could expect our food. She apologized and said she would check. Ten more minutes pass and no food or answer. I go to find the manager. She was in the bar talking to guests. I explained my issue and she said she was aware, apologized and said they were working on it. It was only lasagna which is an easy dish to prepare. Again 5 more minutes pass and no food or response. When the food finally did arrive, the server was rude. I asked for my check and to speak with the manager. She was also rude and inappropriate. She had a ticket in her hand and told me she checked and that the food was not late. I said so now your telling me I am a liar? She also added that the server was not rude. I said how do you know? The manager started to point and wave her finger at my wife. Unacceptable. Anyway, my biggest issue is that they never came to the table to tell us that the food was slow or when we could expect it. They ignored their problem. Then the manger completely mishandled the issue. We will not be back! read more

Solid food if you stick to basics- chicken parm, lasagna,etc. However, service was slow and lacking.

We are regulars! Never have had a bad meal. Always flavorful and plentiful. Chicken Francese is my personal favorite, but everything is delicious. Great service, and friendly managers. You can't go wrong. read more

I made a Yelp account just to review this restaurant. The only reason I gave Ippolito's more than one star was because the food was still tasty. My fiancé and I came in to Ipp's for lunch today and when we got there, we waited outside with a group of older folks for about five minutes until they opened their doors. An older woman from the other group began banging on the door because it was cold and she wanted to go inside. The man who ended up being our waiter, Mark, came to open the door. It was very obvious that he was annoyed by the woman. He truly let this affect his mood and therefor his service. He did the bare minimum when taking care of us. We felt as though we were walking on eggshells with him because it was clear he was still angry with the woman's behavior. Moments after he set our food down, he brought us our check. We hadn't even taken two bites of our meal yet. I don't know about anyone else, but when I am brought a check before I even start my meal, I feel rushed and unwelcome. read more

I totally wanted to love this place. I've had the eggplant parm with spaghetti, which was great and I've had the pizza, which was pretty good. I tried the arugula salad today and was a bit disappointed. I can't say for certain because clearly I wasn't in the kitchen when it was made, but it tasted like the sliced pears they used on the salad was canned (it tasted like fruit cocktail). It made the salad inedible. This is unfortunate because it was a big salad and had lots of walnuts, chickpeas and gorgonzola, which I can totally appreciate. They definitely didn't skimp here. But having canned fruit instead of fresh fruit on the salad completely ruined it. And being that gorgonzola is a bit salty, it needed that sweet balance, so I unfortunately couldn't eat the salad. I'll give this place another shot and hope for the best. A note to management, if the pears are in fact canned, please consider using fresh -- it would make a huge difference! :) read more

We love Ippolito's in Kennesaw. Great food and service. Having said that, we had high expectations for the location in Roswell. We have been there 3 times and the 3rd will be the last. Parking is nightmare. There are 8-12 people in our group. In Kennesaw there is always appropriate seating and we never wait more than 30 min. In Roswell we waited 45min and were extremely jammed together with other tables. Loud, could not hear server. We have one member in a wheelchair and that is nightmare to get in and out. Half of our table was served and almost finished before the other half got their food. Had to change orders twice as they were out of several choices, waited an hour for my steak. The one bite I had was great. I asked my waiter to please leave my food while I went to the restroom. After 3 min came back and food was gone. Whoops, waiter forget to tell other staff to leave food. Kitchen is closed now. Gave us a "free" piece of cake. I really would have liked that steak and potato. Many in our group are former wait staff and tip well. Anyone can have a bad night, but 3? Worth 30 min drive to Kennesaw. read more
