I love this Thai place. It's tiny but has cute patio area and most importantly food is so tasty. We ordered only three dishes but all of them were spot on: Chicken satay: there were four strips were yummy grilled meat with peanut sauce and pickled cucumbers Crab fried rice: $15 for the rice but they use real crab meat and spot on Spicy fried sole fish: it was special of the day and so so good with sweet basil sauce. It came with a side of rice. Thai iced tea with boba: yum, it was a bit sweet. Everybody there was friendly. The only thing here is seating if you have a big group. Might want to call ahead of time. I wanted to like this place so badly. This is my third visit and the pad thai was again less than par. The noodles were mushy and sauce was bland. I ordered vegetarian because I wasn't in a meat mood tonight but the vegetable portion was seriously lacking. Literally 3 pieces of broccoli. I spent considerable time backpacking through Thailand a few years ago and was feeling sentimental. I chose to revisit despite my negative experiences because they offered mango sticky rice. Tom-Kha is great and flavorful. Fish cake is also pretty good. We love chicken satay and peanut sauce. We also order this special dish. I believe it's called Spicy Sole Fish. The basil sauce and fresh stream veg are perfect together. I would recommend this place to everyone that wants an authentic Thai food. This restaurant never fail my craving. Beef salad is so good. Summer roll with shrimp goes so well with peanut sauce. My mom got her Yum Woon Sen and she likes her as well. This time I also tried their Thai coffee which is the first time I've ever had. I've ordered take out from here once. It was okay. I wasn't thrilled with the food. However, I'm so glad I gave this place a second chance. The, "dine-in" experience was sooo much better! It was a beautiful day. Not too hot and not at all cold. The outdoor tables are set with little boxes of utensils, to keep them clean and away from flying pests. The Tom Kha soup was soooo good! The soup was perfectly on point with flavor and a nice balance of meat, herbs and vegetables. The shrimp with green beans and red chili paste was amazing! The serving of shrimp was very generous. The zigzag carrots and crisp green beans were perfectly cooked! The heart shaped brown...(or purple??) rice was a lovely change from regular old brown rice. I will definitely be back! Tried to go to the DMV in the strip mall by Walmart there the other day. Do not recommend that one lol. Decided to leave and grab lunch instead. Looked up food on the map and decided to try this place out. So glad I did!! I've been looking for a great Thai place in SD and this is now one of my top two! The other is Bangkok Bay. Had a spicy basil chicken lunch special and it was perfect! Sat outside on the little patio. Can't wait to go back! I'm already craving it! I would not order from this place again. It was tasteless, vegetables were tasted very old, and rice looked very old. Would not recommend.

Service can be a bit slow. The calamari was delicious and came with lots of plum sauce. The Thai shrimp fried was yummy. I ordered a 6 spice level and it wasn't that hot. Food was bland and lunch portion was small. The drunken noodles looked like it should have been a half portion. For $9, I expected a decent amount of food. I left unsatisfied and still hungry. I didn't want to spend any more money there, so I'll leave it at that. I got a level 6 spice and it was barely spicy too. They also used green beans in the drunken noodles and they were very bland as well. Didn't go well with the dish IMO. Limited staff, so service took a while as well. I come here for lunch at least once every week/two weeks. I'm half Thai, so I eat very spicy food and have a high threshold for what I find to be good Thai food. This place definitely checks the boxes necessary for a good Thai food place . I usually get pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and it's just as spicy and flavorful as my aunt would make it! I do remember getting the panang curry as a lunch special and it could've been a bit creamier, but otherwise delicious. This place gives me all the vibes of the Thai restaurant my family used to own, so definitely an authentic experience. read more

Got Panang chicken curry and Pad See Yew, very delicious and right amount of flavor and sauces. My third time ordering from this place. I ordered no spice to share with my kids but the curry was still a bit spicy, like a #4. Guess I have to eat it all. Got excited to see 4 1/2 stars. Food with got: Fried Calamari - small portion for the price. It was okay. I had better. House salad with peanut sauce - a typical salad you make at home with boiled egg on top. Very stingy with sauce. Crab fried rice - real crab but old, probably frozen. Stingy with egg and it's not good. Triple sauce fried fish - they serve sole. Taste like sweet and sour fish, but not good. It was more sour. Waited for almost 30 minutes for the food. We were really patient because we're expecting great food. But , hubby and are disappointed. Paid $53.00 for a 1 star food. Sad. Will not go back. Great Thai food and excellent service! We had pineapple red curry, cheese puffs, parmpar, and pad thai. One of our crab puffs looked a little crispy and they brought another one out to make up for it. The best part - they did it on their own accord. We didn't say anything to the waitress about it, but they said they noticed it coming out and wanted to correct it. We will definitely come back to try their drunken noodles. read more

I'm very please with this Thai restaurant. Surprisingly there are a few to choose from in Poway but this has definitely come out on top in my opinion. I was so pleased to find this delicious Thai restaurant in a quiant corner of Poway Road. I enjoyed the mock duck in my dish, but moreso I liked the drunken noodles my hermano got. They were very savory. As for improvements, I just wish the lemonade were made of real lemons - we grow them in Poway, so perhaps that's a possibility?! This was probably the biggest rip off ever. I ordered the pineapple fried rice. I was okay with the price considering it comes with pineapple shrimp and chicken. It was listed at $13.95. I called it in it was ready when I got there.Paid $15+ out the door It was all great till I opened it up when I got back to work. This rice was very bland. And had Raisins? (killed the flavor ) The part that upset me most is I only had 2 shrimp in my entire order and 4 whole cashews, 4 thinly sliced slivers of chicken. Maybe I'm crazy, but I expect more for my $15+.
