First time at Island Press Coffee. It's located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking--I snagged a 30-minute spot right in front. The two ladies working were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quick caffeine fix, this spot will do the job, but don't expect anything fancy. The Hawaiian Honey Latte was tasty but on the sweeter side. I love kombucha, but their house-made version tasted more like an apple cider vinegar drink--nothing like a real kombucha. Tasty: 6/10 Service: 8/10 Will I come back: No Picture: Hawaiian Honey Latte, Water Spout Kombucha

I hated the smell when we first walked in ( to me it smelled like mold) but the further away from door you got the better it smelled. Coffee was excellent and service was good.

Didn't love their coffee. We wanted to try as many coffee shops as we could during our time in Maui and were disappointed with Island Press. We ordered two lattes, one of them being the Mac Nut latte and they were both really underwhelming. Really light coffee taste overpowered by the super sweet syrup. We had amazing banana bread at another coffee shop and were excited to see a big selection of banana bread flavors here, but unfortunately, it was dry and tasted like banana bread I could have made at home myself. Convenient location near the Lahaina hotels but I would recommend skipping.

Island press was the gem coffee shop during our visit to Kaanapali. The over all consistency and execution of their Mac nut Latte had us coming back every day once we tried it. It was a perfect walk uphill to start the morning and a lovely leisure walk back down to the beach, not a bad way to start the day. Staff was always friendly and welcoming and the shop has tons of options for both food and drink.

We stopped here for drinks and pastries on the way to an excursion. This is a cute coffee shop. The employees were nice, but they were not very fast. I had an iced matcha latte. The matcha was presweetened, and the menu stated this, but this matcha was so much sweeter than any I've ever had, so beware of you don't like it overly sweet. I got a slice of their banana bread to try, but unfortunately it was so stale I couldn't finish the piece. Overall this place was lacking in a few areas.

Small little coffee shop that is located in a small shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. The women working the shop were friendly. There are snacks too, like banana bread. The Mac Nut Latte is super good. I also got a carmel latte which was good. We would go back. The coffee was strong (maybe a dark roast espresso). Prices were more than fair (I am used to the Seattle prices).

After reading reviews, this seemed like the best place to go near the hotel area. The iced macadamia nut coconut latte was the winner. It's nutty and slightly sweet, definitely not too sweet. The staff is working their asses off as it was just two people there with a line out the door. Be patient, their coffee is worth it!

After a run stopped by the little coffee shop. Cute local place. The two ladies working behind the counter were beyond nice and helpful. They sell little food treats and bars + various bags of coffee. Had an iced americano and it was so good it didn't need any sweeteners. Recommend.

Stopped by Island Press Coffee for a Kombucha ahead of my zip lining tour - 10/10 recommend the Water Spout Kombucha!!!! YUM!

Cute little place, there's little seating inside and outside. Friendly Hawaiian hospitality, actually have a pleasant conversation with staff. The drinks were tasty and actually have a kick unlike some coffee places that's like all dessert tasting that you forget the coffee.

Great coffee. Friendly counter people. A short walk from the Westin. Part of our everyday morning walk when we are in Maui!

Poor service. Need more people to work to get the orders and coffees moving faster. Coffee was ok but not really worth the time or money

Best coffee on the island featuring Maui grown and roasted coffee. Friendly and accommodating staff who always provide a warm welcome.

How do I order coffee beans to be shipped to me in California? I should have bought more when I was there in May..

chocolate haupia pie ($11) - i dont usually like chocolate…read moreflavored dessert but i have to say this one changed my mind - it is one of my favorite dessert on this island AND i loved it so much this deserves a five star woooo - i really went in not expecting much from it but every bite was delectable from the cream on top to the chocolate and coconut layers - first, as a cream hater who usually scrapes off the cream, i actually ate and enjoyed it; it was light and fluffy not heavy at all - second, the chocolate layer wasnt too sweet and was super velvety smooth; it got enough chocolate content but not too much that it'd be too rich and dense - third, the coconut layer wasn't offensively strong but it actually balanced out the sweetness from the cream and chocolate; it was also a bit gelatinous which enhanced the texture of this dessert - lastly, the tart was crispy and crunchy; not too thick and it also added another layer to the texture, completing the whole dish rating: 5/5 - quick service and half self service; nothing much to note; the pies were already pre made so the server just gave it to us immediately - very casual dining spot; family friendly; ambiance is giving little cabin type restaurants you would find when you're on a road trip IG: @nom.noms.only

Visited on a Tuesday around 9:55am right before opening, there was a line of about 15-20 guests…read moreahead of me so be prepared to wait. Restaurant opened promptly at 10am, guest slowly made their way in took us about 15min to place our order. Food: Apple Handheld Pie - size was about 3-4" long and 2" wide. Crust was okay somewhat flaky and fairly tender. Bake was a light golden color could have been baked a touch more. Apples were nice and chunky with sweet cinnamon sugar filling, good filling to crust ratio. Pie was covered in a confections sugar glaze which made it a bit sticky to eat, felt unnecessary for a handheld pie, overall okay. Service was quick order at the counter and staff packs your order, we grabbed our to go. Interior had about 15-20 tables l, self serve water and utensil station if you wanted to dine in. Overall seems like a convenient stop midway to Lahaina if you are looking for a sweet treat, wouldn't wait too long or go out of your way to visit but worth a try if you are in the area.
