Hands down THE BEST dim sum joint in all of NM! I have ordered just about everything on the dim sum side of the menu, and it's all been delicious and well executed. Back when the dining room was open, it was packed with Asians at every visit--really, there's no better endorsement. Only downside: it's a small joint so no fun carts rolling around, but everything comes out piping hot and freshly made to order. Their quality and flavor more than make up for the missing carts. (Caveat--this rating is for NM only. Compared to joints in robust Chinatown centers, it would rate 3 stars, but in NM it gets 5 very enthusiastic stars. By far, the best dim sum currently in Albuquerque. I would say that everything has improved quite a bit since the last time that I was in. Service has also improved a great deal. Food was delicious! It tasted like being back in San Francisco. We ordered from the Dim Sum menu: Shrimp Har Gow, Pork Siu Mai, Baked pork buns, bean paste sesame balls, steamed pork dumplings. First time I have found them in Abq. The chive dumplings were also good lots of meat. The beef noodles were tasty my first time trying. Same for the curler noodle crispy on the inside good appetizer! It has been about a month since the soft opening. Service was great and very attentive. Water and tea levels were checked and refilled. Food was all cooked perfectly. All dishes ordered were brought out. I have made two visits since the initial opening. One for takeout, and was prepared in ten minutes. Food was great. Roast duck with rice and Combination fried rice. Both were delicious. Yesterday's visit was for dim sum, and again it was 100 times better! I am glad the Owners turned it around. read more

I love their food. It's a different eating style. Where you order many plates and share with others. I felt I ate not too little and not too much to just get the perfect amount of full. The fried shrimp was a little too salty side but still tasty. We wanted to adventure out and try the chicken feet, but found out it was definitely not our cup of tea. The food is good but customer service lacks. I wasn't acknowledged. I was only given one sweet chile sauce for my $40 meal, idk why. Not very happy and customer service is one reason I either go to a place or I don't. I think this place just lost my business. My first taste of dim sum and it definitely didn't disappoint! The fried rice is incredible, best I've had in the city so far. The sweet buns are super tasty. I prefer the steamed buns best but all of them are worth trying. I'm definitely going back to try the duck this time. I'm so glad IT Dimsum is in ABQ! Their dim sum reminds me of the places I would frequent in CA because the quality, taste, and flavors are so incredible. I love how they have such a wide variety of dim sum dishes to choose from. I'm always getting their shrimp har gow and pork shumai because they're legit delicious. Everything looked great, but it's how it tastes that is important. I just felt like there was a lack of flavor in the dim sum selections. Everything else was fine as our server was attentive and friendly. The decorations seemed weird as the walls had flooring on them. There are also Chinese dishes if you are not inclined to enjoy dim sum that day. We enjoyed ourselves and walked out for less than $50 including a tip. WOW ! Not in a good sense either! Went there Saturday there were five of us plus my four year old granddaughter. The dim sum were small and we ordered a chow fun plate and a chow mein plate, they were so small and only enough for two people if that and it was like 16 $ a plate. Our total bill was $177 dollars, that's an average of $35 per person! Out ragest ! And they added a must tip for six people at 20% so they counted my four year old granddaughter as six that didn't even eat anything And service was below average. Also we just had tea and water. Amazingly decent dim sum. The service is great, friendly staff. Shrimp dumplings are a bit dry. My favorite dish was the curry fish balls, it was on point. The fish balls are soft and tender. Surprised to see a dim sum place in ABQ, came with mixed expectations. Was even more pleasantly surprised the taste is very authentic compared the Bay Area. It is a good mid-range dim sum place without the fancy seafood type of dim sum in larger restaurants but had the main stream selection you'd expect and it is more than decent. I am giving IT Dimsum 4 stars because they really do have the best dim sum in ABQ. However, there are pros and cons. Cons: - No beer/wine - Green tea consisted of a teapot with a single teabag floating hot water. Weak & disappointing. - No low sodium soy sauce. - Server set down our dim sum along with an extra order by accident, then walked away. We didn't notice it was one we hadn't ordered (many dim sum plates look very similar). Then she returned and wished it away right from under my chopsticks! I say, if you deliver an order mistakenly then the customer gets to keep it. It's just plain rude to come back and take it away. She didn't even apologize. Pros: - It really is the tastiest dim sum in ABQ - Pork Bao ("steamed BBQ pork bun") were delicious - Pork Shumai were delicious - Shrimp Har Now were fabulous - Red bean sesame balls are awesome - Very affordable. Dinner for 2 was (5 plates + tip) just over $30 Other notes: - I ordered the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf because of a positive review. I wasn't a fan. Somehow it smelled & tasted fishy though that doesn't make sense and my husband didn't notice it at all. - I liked the clean/modern interior decor - I would have preferred the traditional dim sum where they come around with a cart and you get to pick what you like. Here you just order off a menu (that has helpful photos of the dishes on it). It takes away a bit of the fun. - What happened to the scallion pancakes? None on the menu. - I am probably too critical. Absolutely spectacular! I've been wanting to try this place forever now and even though indoor seating is still off limits during this time, our to-go meal was perfection. We tried a little bit of everything and wasn't disappointed in anything. The BBQ pork has great flavor. The steamed pork dumplings were authentically delicious. The Shrimp Har Gow were awesome--although fell apart a little. We ordered so much more too. I can't wait for this place to reopen so we can have a sit down meal, but for what we received on the go, I was SUPER impressed. Oh! Also, their red chile sauce is fantastic! First and Last time we will come to IT Dim Sum. The restaurant itself looks beautiful, modern and clean. We came here for my birthday lunch because my husband, daughter and I have been wanting to try it. Well, our experience turned sour, literally, with our food and stomachs. Yuck! We ordered noodles, some pork buns, and a couple other items. One in particular tasted off. I am part Asian and know good Asian food when I taste it, but something told me that what I had in my mouth was not good! In the end, we gently voiced our concern and had the server take it away. Their resolution fell extremely short...still charged us AND told us that's the taste it's supposed to have. We were disappointed in our experience and come thirty minutes later, we all had to use the restroom due to our sour stomachs. Yikes!!! I think we'll continue going to our usual Dim Sum restaurant. My brother always loved this restaurant. I did have one experience that I did get very sick after eating chicken.

The food really wasn't good. With a family of five, we payed $60 and regretted every penny. We spent $12 on a chow mein soy sauce noodle plate and it was so bland. I had asked if they had teriyaki sauce because I personally hate soy sauce it's way too salty. Buuuut they didn't have any- so I put a little soy sauce on them and somehow it managed to make the plate worse, and I didn't even think that was possible. Not to mention it wasn't even accommodating to kids and teens- they didn't mention that there beansprouts on the noodles and there were more sprouts than noodles and nobody I know likes bean sprouts. The portions were RIDICULOUSLY SMALL. The calamari and potstickers were DECENT but weren't enjoyable. This place is truly a huge waste of money and can't even say I enjoyed one thing... NOT ONE. We ordered a bunch of food too and none of it was good, not even their customer service was good. SHE GAVE HERSELF A 20% TIP WITHOUT LETTING US KNOW AND THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE, SHE DIDNT EVEN GIVE US WATER THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD. I definitely DONT recommend this place. IT somehow lacks the umami brought by msg and the chicken feet was not as tender as the ones I've had before but was really tasty . Have eaten inside twice, had noodles with chicken and had a strange flavor similar to Msg although they claim not to use it. Wok is well seasoned so I decided to give it another try. The waitstaff suggested fried rice. I ordered the chefs special fried rice and there were literally 3 small pieces of shrimp in a 12.00 dish. Loaded with peas. My friends and I enjoy ordering dim sum from this restaurant. All the dishes we have had are delicious and love that all of my dim sum favorites are there. I also enjoy getting some of the sweet dishes (the cream bun and red bean sesame balls. We have been to It DimSum several times in the last couple months and have left each time feeling full and satisfied. The service is good and the dumplings are delicious, but the reason I leave 4 stars is that I feel the menu lacks really variety. There are meat dumplings, fried veggies, and......not really much else. The desserts are delicious don't get me wrong, but the main course is pretty much that. Meat and fried veggies. I eat predominantly vegetarian and was excited to try this restaurant initially, but the lack of creativity makes me avoid them more than others simply because I don't want a heavy meal each time I eat out.
