It's lunch time baby! First time trying it and I was impressed. It's such a "hole in the wall" location, but it's one of those locations where it lives up to the saying, "hole in the wall food places are the best." I mentioned to the person taking my order that it was my first time. He welcomed me in very kindly, explained the menu, and how long I was going to wait even being very busy. You don't get that service just anywhere! I got the bibim wrap and it was HUGE. The taste was spot on. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Bulgogi Sandwich...look at that cheese pull!
Nat S.

I have only had the Bulgogi sandwich here, but oh my god! It was so good! I want to go back and try their breakfast burritos. I was driving through a large warehouse area when the sign for their restaurant caught my eye. There are a couple of hidden gems tucked into this area and the Yelp! reviews were great, so I knew I had to check it out. I called in my order while I was out picking up drawings for work. This was around 1:00 pm, so I think I missed the lunch rush. The man on the phone was nice and ordering was easy. I had found pics of the menu on Yelp! and I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich based on the reviews. When I arrived I was able to park right in front of the restaurant. The place was very clean and they were very friendly. My order was ready and it was a quick and easy transaction. I, of course, added extra cheese to my sandwich and they did not disappoint. So many places charge you for extra cheese and when you get it home it's barely even a regular serving of cheese. Not with this place! The bread was soft and fresh. The Bulgogi was tender (no gristle or hard to eat pieces), the salty/sweet flavors were balanced perfectly, and the jalapeños added a nice, spicy kick. They also added fresh lettuce and red onion. When I first sat down to eat my sandwich I thought I would devour the entire thing. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I ate half and was perfectly full. I ate the other half the next day for dinner (just did a quick reheat in my air fryer) and it somehow tasted even better. I am not usually a fan of sweet dishes, but the Bulgogi was perfect and this is a sandwich I will crave and definitely get again. I love finding places that make food you crave. I think they are hard to come by these days. This is definitely a spot worth checking out!

Bibimbap Burrito

Popped in here to grab lunch while running an errand out of time. I got the bibimbap burrito and it was really good! They put the perfect amount of the spicy sauce in the burrito to not be overwhelming but included an extra little cup on the side if you want to spice it up! Service was also great. The guy who took my order was ridiculously polite and they had my food out in 5 or so minutes. This place is tucked away in a business park area, but don't sleep on it! I come to the area semi regularly to visit a pottery store around the corner so I'll definitely be back!

Bulgogi sandwhich

Omg in town for short work trip, this is the best sandwhich ive had in years! I had the bulgogi sandwhich and if you are in the area and dont try this, you do yourself a huge injustice. Wonderful fella behind counter made the perfect sandwhich!

Bibim Wrap

Wow!! Simple, good food!! Had the Bibim Wrap. So much flavor in that wrap!! The service was phenomenal as well. I love small, simple places, so this place foots the bill. It's in a light industrial and office park, so parking was not easy, but a bit of a walk is good! I will be back.

So glad I found this place. I ordered the bulgogi sandwich, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. The man running the shop was an absolute baller and so kind

Chicken Teriyaki

So so good! Best chicken teriyaki in San Jose. Perfect portions and reasonable pricing. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and good quality. Great customer service as well.

This place is so good. If you work in the North San Jose/Santa Clara/Milpitas tech circle, you've gotta stop by on your lunch break. I ordered online for pick up (they close at 1:30, so be sure to go before then) and I just grabbed it off the counter when I got there. Cute little shop located around autobody and small warehouse stores, you might miss it. But you shouldn't. Parking gets a little tough, but I just pulled my car in front real quick and hopped out. Onto the food. I got the bulgogi sandwich because some other Yelper had a very appetizing photo...and I did not regret it. Seriously, it smelled so good that I had to whip the sandwich out at the stoplight on Montague Expressway to catch a glimpse. Perfectly tender, salty, sweet bulgogi with the nice sour and spicy jalapeño- it couldn't be beat. I couldn't even wait to get back to my desk at work to eat it, I finished it in my company parking lot. Everything in San Jose is expensive now and this isn't the exception, but this is definitely going on my lunch time rotation- sorry Mendocino Farms.

Bulgogi Sandwich with no jalapeños

Best time is lunch time. ~ My friend and I shared a Bulgogi sandwich ($15) and it was so filling! The sandwich is simple, good, and HUGE! It was bigger than my hand. The bread is thin & there's a good balance of meat, cheese, and lettuce in the sandwich. The meat is flavorful and not too overly sweet. Tip: If you're unable to eat it right away, highly recommend putting it back in the oven or airfryer! It tastes so much better and gets that crispiness back :)

Bulgogi Sandwich (Onion, Cheese, Lettuce, Jalapeno, $14.99)- 3/5 stars

#51 on Yelp's 2022 Top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area list. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same experience that many other Yelpers have, and could have gone on an off day. It also could have been because I went towards the end of the week, at the end of the lunch rush- It's Lunch Time is only open on the weekdays from 10:30am-2:30pm. I stopped by around 2pm on a Friday, and called in my order ahead of time (they estimated 10 minutes for my order to be ready). It's Lunch Time is a small shop located in a semi-industrial area. Make sure you follow your GPS so you don't miss it! They have a small menu, but they had a lot of chips and drink options to go along with your meal. It wasn't busy when It wasn't busy when I picked up my order, and I tried their Bulgogi Sandwich (Onion, Cheese, Lettuce, Jalapeno, $14.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6suH8C-eIGTp08F7ow9QnA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg). I liked the flavor of their bulgogi, but it was a little too salty overall and slightly dry. I also didn't like the bread they used (an Italian roll?), since it added to the overall dryness of the sandwich. The ingredients were fresh though, and I would consider coming back if in the area for lunch. Their staff was really friendly, and they had hand sanitizer at the counter. Only indoor seating options were available. Parking was easy to find at the time since there were a few spots available in their shared lot.

One of the most popular K-food restaurants in the Bay Area, and their food is always a 10/10!…read more I've come back here so many times because all of their soups are so comforting, especially the galbitang - my absolute favorite. It feels just like a warm hug in a bowl! Their cold noodles, both spicy and non-spicy versions, are refreshing and perfect for cooling down summer heat. We also almost always order the mo deum soo yook for extra protein. It's a combination plate with boiled beef brisket, tail, and tendons. You will have to season them yourself with salt and pepper, but beef is always so soft and tender. I highly recommend ordering this only if you're dining with a group of 3 or more because the portion is huge! After finishing your meal, they'll serve you a yakult, super yummy and great for digestion (super thoughtful of them) They're busy and almost always have a waitlist, especially during peak dinner hours. From my experience, the longest I've waited was about 45 minutes, but normally it's only around 20-30 minutes. There's a boba shop nearby where you can grab a drink while waiting. Overall, I have nothing to complain about with this place. Try it once and you'll understand why everyone loves it!

-1 for service…read more Kunjip is always a hit! Came here on a Saturday around noon and thankfully we were early enough to avoid a wait. they don't allow outside drinks, which is a bummer because it was so hot and our drinks would go bad if left in the car. I got the galbi tang and they gave a good amount of beef! I was able to take home for a second meal :) i also love their kimchi. maybe around 10 minutes after we got our soup, we had asked for refills on the sides. when we got the refills, we also got our bill. we were no where close to being done eating and the servers would constantly check our table to see if we're done or needed boxes. while we were boxing our leftovers, the server aggressively took our soups (half way in the air trying to pour it) from us and packed it herself. my friend was trying to get the bone out first but the server was just awfully impatient. The whole dine-in experience felt very uncomfortable, especially since we were still actively eating.

For a Thursday evening, the restaurant was pleasantly busy and buzzing with energy which is exactly the kind of lively atmosphere we love. There's plenty of parking, and the space itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, and clearly well cared for. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The star of the show was definitely the meat. After trying nearly every Korean BBQ spot in Santa Clara, I can confidently say Chungdam has the best quality in the area. The difference in flavor and texture of the beef is immediately noticeable. It was tender, well-marbled, and full of rich taste. The banchan were outstanding too, especially the raw crab (my absolute favorite). We also loved the steamed egg, japchae, and bibimbap which were all delicious and perfectly executed. Our server, Bryan, took excellent care of us on our first visit and made the whole experience even better. He even told us about a back room that you can reserve for special occasions or even for hosting after work gatherings or dinners with friends We'll definitely be back soon! This was an absolute 10/10!!

Service was good. food was delicious! the bulgogi was generous portions given the $$. The kal bi was delicious. We got the lettuce wrap (aka leaves) glad we got it because it made it feel healthier. banchan: came with: square little rice paper wraps (not as healthy as lettuce but something), kim chee, sprouts, marinated onions with peppers (spicy! but I'm a wimp, any spice is too much for me), jap chae I didn't like the self-order on tablet. (at least it wasn't order off phone, I really hate that) at other restaurants if you order enough, they "service you" free steamed egg. Here I had to buy it myself. negative, there was a dripping pipe on the floor, and we had to point it out for them to wipe it, but then it dripped more. was that water? or grease? who knows. we had to suggest they put a towel so I didn't have to stare at it creeping towards me all night. fun korean pop music in background. cheaper feeling ambiance. definitely coming again for the food and minimal line. didn't like that tip defaulted to 20% minimum (then 23%, 28%) but at least they calculate that pre-tax.

The bossam took a while to come out, and by then we were already pretty full off of the pancake, soup and bibimbap. Service sizes are generous, and this definitely would've been enough for 4+ people to share. There was a great assortment of different banchan - my favorite is the jelly! The pancake was nice and crispy, with a good amount of seafood, the bibimbap had a great amount of crispy rice at the bottom and the tofu soup was comforting and exactly what we were looking for. The bossam had a lot of meat - I kind of wished there was more radish and napa to go with the meat, but it was tender, not too fatty, and satisfying. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Jang su jang is still a classic staple, and has a delicious offering for almost any korean craving you could want. It's a little pricey, but comparable to other options in the area with consistent quality that makes it worth it in my opinion.

Despite only receiving two of the three items in our combo over the span of our two hours, they still charged us the full $73 for the combo. Additionally, they kept bringing out the wrong items and also brought out things twice when we had already received it. Food overall was undeniably bad for how it was priced. The quality of the pork in the katsu was extremely tough and stringy, not to mention how it was absolutely drowned in sauce. Kimchi fried rice was wet, as it was drowned in sauce and oil, barely fried. Chicken wings were also drenched in oil and sauce, and it was soggy, rubbery, and overall terrible. In conclusion, don't waste your time or money here. This was my second time at this establishment, and both times were atrocious.
