    Chicken pho
    S F.

it's pho had the worst flavor you will taste. we came here tonight for dinner with our family excited to try the pho after reading some of the reviews and I knew once the bowl came out everything was off. They did not give us any of the vegetables which you always get when you order pho at restaurants. we asked about it they said that it's already in there on the bottom, I did not see any bean sprouts and herbs, We had to ask for some to be brought to the table to add in. The broth was very clear and salty no flavor. You must add some hot sauce to even taste it. the chicken was watery and flavorless and chewy in not a good way. The broth was lukewarm, and my noodles were still hard. This was not a good experience at all, the worst I've had in a long time. I literally ordered pizza across the way after dinner. It was that bad. This is not good Vietnamese food at all!

Where should we eat? It's Pho Hollywood! That's what I heard from my teens when I was in the area, which meant we ate here twice in 2 days! That says a lot! It was THAT food. My favorites were: fresh spring roll (they rolls were huge and tofu were perfectly crisp), Thai ice tea with boba (the boba was soft and warm!), mango sticky rice (delicious, large, and plated beautifully), garlic noodles (O.M.G!!!! I can eat 2 orders of these myself!), and Vietnamese rice plate with lemongrass chicken. The service was great, the ambiance inside was cute and decorated well, and the menu was diverse with the Thai menu on one side and Vietnamese cuisine on the other. The only area that wasn't so great was the area the restaurant was in (it is a little shady McShady) and the parking is small, but if you're from the area, you won't blink an eye. Overall, we loved it (obviously), and if we lived nearby, It's Pho Hollywood would be a weekly staple for us!

Khao soi with noodles and chicken. Huge portions!

Been here many times already, finally getting to review it :) My gf and I go here whenever we feel like a good bowl of pho, khao soi or even a protein with rice dish. My gf got the khao soi, the flavor is so rich and creamy! Portions are huge! I got the spicy beef and it's got a good spice to it! Flavor is perfect! The service here is always great! It's a little small inside but I feel like alot of people don't linger much because it's hella cold in there lol. So getting a table won't be a problem. It definitely has not stopped me from coming back! :)

My daughter and her boyfriend just moved in up the street so we took a nice walk to It's Pho. Delicious ! I ordered the spicy beef rib pho with tendon and it was mouth watering ! Amazing service, quaint place, but the food ...... perfection ! Highly recommend

Bahn Xeo with chicken and shrimp

It's Pho is a new discovery/recommendation for me...even though the team said they've been open since 2012/2013. I am not typically a fan of fusion everything, but the Thai and Viet options here are separated and lean into their own cuisines. I should have taken a picture of the menu! Funny enough, I didn't try the pho so you'll have to rely on others' reviews or just take a chance. Here is what we ordered: 1. Fresh roll with grilled pork: summer roll served with fish sauce and peanut sauce. The meat had a nice, charred flavor. 2. Bahn xeo: savory crepe with chicken and shrimp. It comes with greens, mint, and fish sauce. The batter is a little thicker than what you'll find in OC, but the crunch and the variety of textures were excellent. I don't really see bahn xeo on LA menus, and this dish was what I've been craving. 3. Khao soi with back rib: thick coconut curry soup. The rib meat was very tender. Onions and lime were a needed boost to balance out the sweetness. Get the noodles on the side if you don't think you'll finish the dish or if you plan to take leftovers. 4. Chicken thigh meal: with salad, soup, rice. The rice was a scoop of com tam which surprised me in the best way. I was not expecting to have broken rice during this meal. 5. Thai tea: I didn't try this but it looked creamy, maybe with a touch too much ice though. 6. Mango sticky rice: with coconut cream and black/white sesame seeds on top. The fruit was perfectly ripe. I didn't need the flower but the presentation was quite nice. Make room for dessert, because this is not your typical watered-down coconut pour. It's thicc. We were trying to be "good" but we should have ordered the large. Take leftovers, add veggies, stretch it out. I noticed that one of the families didn't take their noodles or shrimp. I was full of imaginary tears and silent judgement as they passed by our table to leave. Did their parents not tell them about the starving kids in the rest of the world? OMG I am now crying real tears as I write this. Parking is within the strip-mall. Spaces are tight but having any parking in Hollywood is like a dream. TK and Vicky were on staff and they were great. It was cool to see their flow with one another and with all the customers as the restaurant got busier for dinner. Yes, we will return.

Very delicious , broth was amazing and good portion sizes . Location is small inside, and the service was great! Thai tea is a good drink choice. Pricing is reasonable

I came in to order pho because I lost my voice and while I was waiting they gave me the most amazing hot tea to help soothe my throat. So sweet of them. When I got home I immediately dug into the food! The pho was soooo INCREDIBLE and filled to the brim! Garlic noodles with cabbage were a hit as well. Definitely my go to spot!! So cozy inside as well. Happy to live close to it, worth the drive if you don't! Such wonderful staff, thank you guys so much again! :)

Beef ball pho hit the spot! Friendly and efficient service, and the restaurant is pretty cozy too.

Today I stopped by It's Pho and I was met by the best hosts TK & Lina. I was recommended the spicy seafood noodles and it was the best seafood noodles I've ever tried then I was given ice cream. This place has an incredible vibe and cozy feel inside. Do yourself a favor and come try their Pho!

This place is awesome! Service was very attentive and knowledgeable about their dishes. We ordered some egg rolls, Pad-see ew with beef, which was delicious, traditional Pho (no meat, no veggies), Pho Bo, Khao Soi (Chicken Curry Noodles, which was the star of the night), and Lemongrass Bánh Mì with fries. Regular fountain drinks, Thai tea, and an iced green tea. The place is cozy but has enough space to sit a large group, as well as a party of one. Enjoyable ambiance.

So glad a good pho place exists near me! Was feeling severely ill & needed a comfort meal. Our order was out within 20 min. Pho broth was yummy & it's a decent portion, but we do wish there was more meat & that the steak was in a separate container so we have more control over the rareness. The drinks were the right amount of sweetness. Complimented the meal perfectly.

I had to have the beef combo and it was delicious. The seating is wonderful. The music is incredible. I couldn't believe how delicious his food was. It's well worth it and it provides a wonderful option right in the middle of Hollywood. I enjoyed the iced coffee very much that helps close out a perfect meal and I got there early to make sure there was parking but if you are close by, it's well worth the walk ! I'm coming back for the spring rolls !

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

The interior of the restaurant itself is very industrial and it's a super cute date spot. Parking is paid tho (as with most places in LA). We had a reservation on a Friday at 6:30 and were seated immediately. Our servers were super attentive and kind and our food came out relatively quickly as well. As for the food tho... it was a bit of a let down for us. Bing with cultured butter and honey - 4/5 If you come here, the one thing I do recommend is the Bing. The bread comes out warm and is super soft and fluffy in the inside, while having a crisp outside. I liked the touch of black pepper with the butter and honey, but it was a bit too much honey for my liking. Besides the bread itself, the dip wasn't anything special but dill delicious nonetheless. Bing with smoked fish and crème fraiche - 4/5 I think this is my favorite thing that we ordered. The smoked salmon paired well with the creaminess and slight tang of the crème fraiche, and I also loved the touch of dill. Nothing outstanding again, but the cold dip provided a nice temperature contrast w the warm bread. Mushroom crispy rice - 4/5 Loved the variety of mushrooms on the crispy rice. It had a nice umami flavor that paired well with the rice that had a nice crisp texture. It was a bit on the heavy side tho -- I wish it had a touch of lemon zest or something acidic to brighten up the dish. Bossam - 2.5/5 This was unfortunately the biggest let down of our meal. Priced at $135 I would have expected more, but it just tasted like a typical bbq pork shoulder. It was super heavy and greasy and even with the sides of lettuce, kimchi, pickled onions, and ssamjang, the fat still left a slightly unpleasant mouthfeel. The meat itself was very tender tho which I can appreciate. Also, I'm surprised this dish is called bossam, as it is not the traditional boiled pork belly. It didn't even have any sort of asian flavor besides the sides. When I read reviews online, this was by far the most hyped up dish, but we did not love it. All in all, I'm glad I tried the restaurant once but I would not personally come back. The ambiance is super nice, yet the food was unfortunately a let down.

The atmosphere felt cozy, and the dark-colored walls gave the restaurant an old-fashioned feel while still feeling modern. It was a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I ordered the veggie rolls as an appetizer; they came out quickly and all the ingredients tasted fresh, light, and crisp. It was a wonderful combination of cucumber, carrots, cilantro, cabbage, and lettuce. The dipping sauce was a nice change from the usual peanut sauce you find elsewhere. It still had that familiar peanut flavor along with a little spice and tanginess that made it stand out. For my entrée, I ordered the panang curry with chicken and thought it was excellent. The curry had a rich coconut flavor with a zesty and bright punch from the kaffir lime leaves. The consistency was spot on too. It wasn't overly creamy and thick, but it wasn't too watery like a basic soup either. The chicken also was impressive because it was tender and soft throughout instead of dry or overcooked. The Japanese pumpkin was cooked well, staying tender while still holding its shape, with a subtle sweetness and earthy flavor that worked well in the curry. Even the brown rice was surprisingly good. It had a nice complex flavor with a slight sweetness that complemented the curry without overpowering it. My only small complaint was that it took a little while to get the check, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. That said, they seemed to be doing a lot of takeout business. During the roughly 45 minutes I was there, I saw at least four or five people come in to pick up orders, so they were definitely staying busy behind the scenes. Overall, I thought Rustic Spoon served really flavorful Thai food with quality ingredients in a cozy atmosphere. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

We've gotten takeout from here a few times and it's always been good!…read more Here's what I've tried: Pad Thai with Ground Beef - My husband ordered this dish, and it came in a very generous portion. I thought it was too sweet for me and it didn't taste like most Pad Thais I've had or come to expect, but it was still okay. Veggie Rolls - This is pretty much salad/lettuce in a spring roll, and the peanut sauce is what makes it delicious. Not very large or filling, but good if you want some side greens. If you have a peanut allergy, skip these because they're kinda boring without the sauce. Panang Curry with Filet Mignon and added Japanese Pumpkin - This was a good dish! The steak was cooked a little too well for my liking, but it was generous in portion and the sauce was really flavorful. I was glad I added the pumpkin. Filet Mignon Pho - Not my favorite pho ever, but I liked that they offered Thai and Vietnamese options. When I ordered online, I didn't see in the description that it included bean sprouts or basil and that I had to order them for $2 each. I like my pho with every dang thing, so I spent the extra $4. The items did already come with the pho, plus I got an extra bag that I didn't really need to order. The steak was thinly sliced and tender, I just wish there was more of it. Salmon Rolls - These are pretty heavy, the fresh salmon is fried on the outside and rare on the inside. They come with a few dipping sauces, including a spicy mustard that I liked. Thai Tea Caramel Creme - This is honestly the reason I order from here. I am a damn fiend for Thai Tea-flavored desserts, and I crave this one all the time. It has a rich, velvety texture and a strong Thai tea flavor. I have thought of stopping by just to order this, and I probably will. Our orders have always been ready on time, although I can't speak for any dining-in experience, and I think it's a little pricier than other Thai restaurants. The website is just a little wonky... I like that everything is customizable in just about every way, and there are pictures of most items, but the pho order wasn't clear about what it would come with, and some of the upcharges are higher than they should be. However, I will come back for that Thai tea dessert because I've fallen in love.
