Stumbled upon their late night happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by the food! We wanted a small snack and tried their handrolls, a few yakitori skewers, corn ribs, and fried mushrooms. For the price, it's not comparable elsewhere! Our favorites were definitely the corn ribs and fried mushrooms. The corn ribs had a miso glaze on it that was both sweet and savory. We loved it so much, we got seconds! As for someone who doesn't like mushrooms, I actually enjoyed how thin and fried their fried mushrooms were. Who would've thought I'd have a change of heart! Overall, we had an amazing time and the staff was both friendly and attentive to us. We're glad to have found this little gem and cant wait to come back to try other items!

This place unfortunately does not have great customer service as my wife and I had to ask multiple times to get basic dining items such as chopsticks and plates and napkins on different occasions. We were surprised that the waitress was not aware that we were missing essential dining items during the entire process. Another disappointing aspect of dining here was that we came for the late night happy hour and half of their drink options were out of stock. I had to navigate to ordering from the regular menu and even many options on the regular menu, we're not available. I was quite shocked the food that we were able to order were tasty especially the pork skewers and the duck skewers but unfortunately, I don't think I will visit here again.

This was a quiet little restaurant located near the strip which offered small izakaya plates. Quite small. We got a sushi roll, hand rolls, king oyster skewers, and curry karaage. It was a bit expensive for my taste, especially when you can get ayce sushi and izakaya in the city

Lots of food on the menu and all actually very very good!! I loved the menu. There's sushi, rice, noodles, yakitori, lots of snacks/bar foods. Would recommend for sure. Service was ok. Super friendly, but kind of clueless. Also my uncles ramen took 40 minutes to come out which was not fun. Had to wait a bit for a lot of our other foods too. Best food was the corn ribs LOL. The sushi, hand rolls, and tuna crispy rice were very good too. Karaage was okay and the Ohtani burgers meh.

Great spot for late night dining. Usually, the parking lot is crazy whenever I come to the area. I was here after 10 pm and the lot had a lot more spaces than I thought would be. Service was good. Service was good. David was nice and attentive. Food: Tempura Mushroom Fries Chili Crisp Tofu Pork Belly Skewers Spicy Tuna Roll Some pieces of the pork belly was hard however, the flavor was delicious Right amount of salt. The mushroom tempura was a No for me. I didn't like that it was so soft. Not Crispy at all. The spicy Tuna was nice and clean. I enjoyed every bite. Lastly, I enjoyed the chili crisp tofu. The Tofu was regular in texture. I enjoyed dipping it into the chili oil. Seemed like it had schezuan oil. Overall, a great spot and I'll definitely return for late night eats.

My family and I came here for some small bites before we did our activity. There is a decent amount of tables inside and smelled really good. Service was quick to order and gave us some recommendations. We ordered the pork belly, chicken skewers, and mushroom fries. The mushrooms were delicious and a good shareable. I do wish the yakitori skewers were a little bigger for the price. They were about $7-10 each for 2. Some skewers had prices just for 1. Overrall, the flavor was good for everything and felt authentic. There was a big selection on the menu to choose from.

Not sure what the hype is about but only thing that stood out was the service. Came in on a Friday around 1710 and there was no one seated...that should've keyed us in to the popularity. We left around 1830 and only 2 other couples were dining in...so that should also key you in on what others really think. Do not get the poke bowl, you'll be disappointed. The crispy rice sushi is just ok...better than the other 2 rolls we had Alligator and can't remember the other one. For the value and Yelp hype, it was very underwhelming. Maybe because I live in socal and lived for a few years on Hawaii and Japan that I'm overly critical, but I can get better sushi in the Lancaster desert of cali. I think the best dish we had were the mushroom fries...very uniquely delicious.

A lovely departure from our usual go to straight sashimi dinner! We decided to try this Izakaya off "the strip" and are we glad that we did. Try this small restaurant, you will be thrilled. Authentic atmosphere, food and service. Five stars!

A Hidden Gem That Hits Every Note!! Izakaya Tora in Las Vegas completely blew me away. We went all in and tried nearly everything on the menu, and not a single dish missed. From the smoky lamb lollipops bursting with flavor to the perfectly tender oxtail tongue and juicy charred corn, every bite was layered with umami-rich, smoky goodness straight from the grill. The gyutan (beef tongue) was melt-in-your-mouth tender which is our absolute favorite, and the king oyster mushrooms with beef fat were a rich, earthy surprise. Don't sleep on the ebi sweet shrimp or the bacon wrapped enoki either. They pack a flavorful punch. Drinks? On point. Mao's chu hai cocktails were perfectly balanced and refreshing, a great match for the rich grilled flavors. (Try the yuzu honey chu hai was our favorite) If you're in Vegas and want a truly satisfying and creative Japanese dining experience, Izakaya Tora is a must. Come hungry, you'll want to try everything.

I went in over the weekend and wanted a Baked Salmon roll and forgot which one I ordered but I did not like the salmon! I ordered this roll to go if that makes a difference. The salmon seemed like it was half raw (instead of fully baked) which made the texture rubbery. I didn't like it. I was expecting fully baked, buttery salmon, so to feel the tougher texture threw everything off to me. Tbh, for $21 a roll, I was a little disappointed. Since this place had good reviews, I'd be willing to try other dishes like Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The ambiance in there was nice. I'd say it was dressy-casual. The hostess/waitress gave good customer service, as well. The experience was really good but there was just something I didn't like about the roll.

What a treat to find this late night izakaya! One of the nicest service I've ever received and very informative of their menu items (if you have questions). All of the food was incredibly tasty and has a rotating menu/specials, so you can try something new every visit. I will be revisiting Izakaya Tora and will be telling my friends/family when in Vegas!

Came here we were in the mood for some yakitori. It was a mistake-- the meal was extremely disappointing. We tried the sirloin cap, beef tongue, chicken oyster, negi shio thigh, and shishito peppers. They wait to grill all the yakitori before bringing it out so some of it arrives cold. They did however replace some of the skewers, but none were very tasty, and I'm not used to the tongue coming out in a rolled slice like that for yakitori. We also ordered the yellowtail carpaccio which was so-so and some nigiri that wasn't the greatest. The chutoro tasted super old; I spit it out to make sure I didn't get sick. The salmon and unagi were decent, but the scallops were lightly torched which I'm not a fan of. The restaurant seems poorly run. There was no hostess, so some parties had to wait a quite a bit before being greeted and sat. We even saw a party leave because it took too long to be greeted. The server seemed slammed (maybe not enough of staff?). They also didn't have enough menus for each person in our party of 3. And the yakitori seems to have no quality control as it doesn't come out hot. The house sake costs $28. I am told most restaurants charge around $10 for that (fact check that bc I don't really know), but I thought you might want to know.

Izakaya Tora makes wonderful Japanese cuisine! You'll find them on Paradise and Twain, near Corporate, next to Tacos & Beer. There's ample parking. Inside is dimly lit with plenty of seating. Menu offers sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, house specialties and signature rolls, a nice selection of small plates, yakitori grilled skewers, rice and noodles. Tempura Mushroom Fries ($8) are crispy and delicious! Served with togarashi and toasted nori mayo. Osaka Papas Bravas ($9) is very good! It's golden crisp yukon potatoes with yuzu kosho aioli and salted egg yolk, Yum! Japanese Mac Salad ($7.50) is light and tasty! It has elbow macaroni with kewpie dressing, delicious crunch of cucumber, lovely sweetness of apple, and supposed to have bacon which did come later. I love Drunken Yakisoba ($16), it's excellent and absolutely delicious! Pan seared noodles with seaweed panko, chili butter, and perfectly fried sunny egg served with crispy and tender jidori chicken (+$4), so awesome and flavorful! Service from Mao and Gustavo is outstanding and exceptional! They did a magnificent job accommodating, very helpful, courteous, attentive, and efficient. Everything was amazing! read more

The food is great, the customer service is HORRIBLE , by far the worst I have experienced. I believe her name is Briana, she took our order and then after 35 minutes we asked her to check up on our food and she told us that they had run out of what we ordered. Our problem was why not tell us from the beginning but instead make us wait 35 minutes then we asked to check up on our food and then she told us. If we had never asked to check up on our food we would have been waiting even longer. Second issue was our dish had a piece of hair on it, and when we told her about it she just said okay and took the bowl away instead of offering us if we wanted anything else from the menu. Then after taking the dish, she brought back our bill. We had not even asked for the bill, and we actually hadn't even taken a bite out of our other food because we already had in mind that we were going to leave because they didn't have what we wanted off the menu but her bringing the bill after us not even asking for it just topped it all off. Third issue, we had asked for the manager, she asked if we wanted to speak to him and we said yes. We waited 5 minutes before asking where the manager was again and she then said that he was cooking so we would have to wait (the manager wasn't even in the kitchen at the time we first asked). So we decided to just get up and leave, she then followed us all up in our face telling us that we couldnt leave and we had to pay. Definitely not coming here again, im very upset because we decided to come back after our first experience actually being pretty good and the food tasting good. read more

After a long drive, picked up a to go order of 4 items from here, even though the food was terrible I was too tired and it was too late in the evening to call with my complaint. Small place, but in a great location. Only downside is they are running a very lean staff - 2 servers, 1 sushi chef, and 1 kitchen chef... so if there is a rush all at the same time then be prepared to wait. They know this and appreciate patience, but this is my only criticism and probably wouldn't have really cared except we had a show to get to later that evening. Ordered: - chashu pork bao, which were incredible and a must order - drunken yakisoba, also very good and flavorful - Ohtani Burger ... this was the unexpected start of the dinner. The burger is not on the physical menu, but is a steadfast on the Specials chalkboard. It is $17.17 and comes with two beef patties, cheese, and some kimchi pickle yumminess inside a delicious sesame milk bun. Very unique, and a must order... we split it between the two of us, and it was plenty. Definitely looking forward to going back to this place - a lot to love about it, and cannot wait to try other things on their menu! read more

While not the normal a la carte sushi restaurant I go to, I had a craving for yakitori and I noticed I had this place bookmarked. I am happy with my choice to try this establishment for the first time. Practically everything I ate here was top notch, so much so I was inclined to get a 2nd order for a number of dishes. The yakitori I liked the most was the chili shrimp; it was especially moist and succulent with good flavor. the chili sauce didn't overpower the taste of the shrimp but it had me dipping every bite into it. I ordered a second roll of the Tora Tiger; it ended up being my favorite sushi roll of the evening. Unfortunately the Salmon Skin roll was a dud, it was cooked/fried way too hard; almost to the point of carbon with no noticeable bits of salmon flesh to contrast the crispy skin. The price of everything was a little high for me, even more so with the classic cut rolls being 6 pieces instead of the typical 8. The yakitori skewers were definitely on the smaller skimpy side when it came to the meat and vegetable portions, once again coupled with the higher price. The service was excellent. Everything came out hot and prompt. I was regularly checked up on with my dishes cleared away. While I probably wouldn't add this to my regular rotation of sushi and yakitori restaurants, I'll still make it a point to come here occasionally when I have a craving for both items at the same time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for people that like sushi and yakitori. read more

Don't come on a weekday? Place has potential but it felt understaffed. Good flavoring on the skewers but the pork cheek and rib finger were the smallest pieces of meat I've ever seen. The fried chicken and mushroom tempura came out luke warm and not crispy which would pretty dissapointing. The hand rolls saved the day. Come here for their happy hour hand rolls and it might be ok. read more

We were planning to go to Taco and Beer next door but when I saw the izakaya sign I wanted to change plans. Hubby still wanted tacos but when no host appeared after waiting a few minutes with another group already there before us, we went next door and are so glad we did. Service is wonderful. Very attentive, sweet and accommodating. Food was so good. We tried a variety including a few yakitori, a roll, sliders and the ramen and they were all wonderful with the flavor spot on. Well, I wouldn't come here as a Izakaya- fishes are so expensive you can't even really order as if it was a Izakaya- I believe these people are confused about what a Izakaya really is. They would do better to change to an all you can eat sushi restaurant as they don't have actual izakaya prices, dishes, or menu for it. I can go to RAKU for the prices and get more and better quality.. you can't charge the prices you are for low quality fish. Good luck but you won't make it in this city regardless your location. Tourist traps get caught these days thanks to social media and measures. Advice is to take a step back and actually visit an Izakaya to understand you need affordable items on your menu. The place has a great vibe, but no wait list, on a Busy Friday night... mmm... I think we can see why now. read more

Came across this place on social media, and heard it was their grand opening! They stopped by a day after their grand opening, and they offered a free shot of sake, and a rave water, which was pleasantly delightful! Inside is moody, cute for late night bites. The menu is straightforward with items that are common in Izakaya, the portions were bigger than I expected, and I was pleasantly surprised! The hand roll was delicious, and the skewers are in must get. I would skip on the crispy squares since it's pretty pricey, but it all tasted delicious! The service was great as well - the waitress I had was really kind and checked on us often. She was eager to tell us the menu items she liked the best. The only downside I would have to say, is the parking. hopefully they have Wi-Fi soon since the service around there is not the best! read more

My wife and I decided to try a new place for dinner at Izakaya Tora. First let me say the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, service was prompt, friendly, and helped us make some great selections from their menu. Pictured are the Super Bluefin roll, Osaka papas bravas, Pork belly yakitori, shishito peppers yakitori, ume shiso thigh yakitori and Chashu pork bao. Everything was fresh and delicious with the favorite being the Chashu pork bao. Also the papas bravas were super crunchy and flavorful. We will definitely be back! read more

This cute little gem! We've tried about all the izakaya restaurants in Las Vegas because we're locals, and we'll definitely be back to this one! Our favorites were the yakitori items. The rib finger with yuzu kosho was my fav. The crispy potato salad was also really good. The agedashi tofu was a little strange, to me it lacked in flavor but hey to each their own, other people may love it. Our server was a sweetheart too I wish I remembered her name but we told her we'll be back to visit her! read more

New Izakaya Joint Alert!! I'm an izakaya lover. Izakaya Tora just recently opened up and I got a chance to try them during their happy hours! I ordered the spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll. Some of the other happy hour food that I ordered were the chicken skin and chicken oyster yakitori and the Yaki-onigiri! Everything came out in a pretty decent time. The service was great and the restaurant has a modern vibe. This is a great place for happy hour and overall a nice casual dinner with friends and family! Make sure to check them out :) read more

This was a great find. We went here the week they opened and their food was really good. The inside is decorated nicely and it's fairly spacious. The service was wonderful, we got to meet the owner/manager and he was super nice and our server gave great recommendations. The sushi we got was fresh. The tempura squid or calamari was delicious. I also tried their tofu toast, which was beautiful but it is a little on the bland side because it's tofu. It's really unique as it's a whipped tofu on toast. We had their skewers and I don't remember which one it was but the sauce on it is very salty, even after the owner had remade it for us. Initially we thought it was the meat itself but the sauce was the actual culprit. Once we spread it out and thinned out the sauce it was really good. This is a great little Izakaya spot! read more

Buddy and I came in at 5:30pm opening and were seated right away. Chill vibe, good music that was not too loud where you couldn't think. Food was delicious, highly recommend the sirloin cap yakitori sticks. We got 3 orders each! Crispy squid was good but didn't quite hit the spot, the rings were too thin and didn't that satisfying chew. Saw this restaurant from yelp and impressed by the reviews and food menu, so we decided to try it out. We were surprised that the prices aren't that expensive for a decent restaurant in Vegas but surely the food was mediocre and small well except for the buns. Those were my favorite! This restaurant is off the strip and gives you the quality away from the Vegas chaos that is needed during my trip to Las Vegas. Found this place on yelp and was very pleased. We stopped here after a quick Yelp search, and the food definitely did not disappoint. We tried the Pork Buns, Hawaiian Hand Roll, Albacore Nigiri & the Crunchy Tuna. The pork buns had a great flavor that paired perfectly with the fresh cucumber. The Hawaiian hand roll was served a bit different than I expected, but it was really tasty nonetheless. The Crunchy Tuna was a favorite, the rice had a perfect crunch, just the right amount of spice, and very flavorful. The food was great, but I removed a star because the wait was long despite the restaurant not being very full because they were noticeably understaffed. This place is a local hidden treasure. Or at least that's what I'm doing. Claiming it as ours! Oh my goodness! I don't know where to start. Ok let's start with the food. It's tapas style for late night. And you can't go wrong with anything you choose. The chefs are like wizards in the kitchen. Service is very good. New restaurant so inside looks new and clean. Was gonna get the miso crab pasta but they were out :( We tried different kinds of yakitori (skewers) and love it! The sake is super nice as well. We also tried the signature ramen but it was very salty. The ume shiso yellowtail tempura was one of my favorites--the combination of the plum and shiso made it so refreshing. The Okinawa soda was my favorite drink of the night. We also ordered the hamachi jalapeño, which was delicious. The vinegar sauce was perfectly balanced. The ika mentaiko tempura was excellent too, and the squid was so tender. Honestly, everything we ordered was delicious. There were so many dishes that I can't even list them all! We'll definitely be back. Not only was the food 1000/10, I forgot to ask for the servers name but it was Quinn on the receipt so we're going with that. Quinn was a one man army. He was flying around the fully sat diner serving tables, bussing, taking phone orders and bringing such a calming atmosphere. My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. There's a fireplace in the center lots of cozy booths and drinks are kits! You can order apps and drinks but no desserts. This is my one complaint. I used to love coming in for a dessert & late night cap but now they have made a rule no desserts because (i think) they reupholstered the couches so don't v want to get sticky syrup on it. Oh well. Still a cool vibe. It's just i don't drink anymore so probably won't be coming as much. Service is average. The cocktail servers are nice but don't expect perfect service.

The food was very tasty, the wine list offered a great selection at reasonable prices, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. We were seated promptly with our reservation, even though the restaurant was quite busy. When I made the reservation through OpenTable, I casually noted that we were celebrating our anniversary and did not expect anything to come of it. We were genuinely surprised when they brought us a piece of tiramisu with "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate. It was such a thoughtful touch and a perfect way to end the evening. The restaurant also has a warm, lively atmosphere, with white tablecloths, brick accents, and an impressive wine display. We would definitely return.

Impressed to get a perfect cook on such a thin slice of rib eye. The potatoes and sides were done perfectly also. So glad I ordered this rather than the larger rib eye which is what I typically get. Perfect quantity for me as a light eater. Tiramisu - This was okay. My favorite so far (other than home made) is from Zozo in Reno, NV. And to wash it all down, a bottle of Pinot. Ambiance - A very busy location filled with mostly locals. Beautiful decor location. Bar, table, indoor, and outdoor seating. Semi open kitchen. Clean restrooms. We took a ride share, but there was plenty of parking when we got here. Service - Good. Price - $180 + generous tip. A little expensive for what we got, especially considering we were off strip. My friends were the ones who suggested eating here as they have gone twice before and were never disappointed. The ambiance is elegant, but we still felt completely comfortable bringing younger kids. We were seated at a table for five adults and two children in the center of one of the dining areas beneath the beautiful glass dome. It was such a unique spot with great views all around us. One thing we definitely noticed was the air conditioning...it was blasting! It kept the restaurant so cool that you'd never guess it was summertime in Las Vegas. It was actually so strong that my daughter and I had our hair blowing into our faces while we were sitting there! We ended up asking if they could turn it down a bit because we and also my son were getting cold. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Every dish came out exactly as expected, and everyone in our group was impressed with their meals. I was also surprised to learn they offer Happy Hour every day! I included a photo of the Happy Hour menu along with pictures of the food we ordered. They also validate parking, although when we visited last week, the Plaza Hotel & Casino was offering complimentary parking anyway. The service was more than exceptional. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They helped make my son's birthday celebration feel special without ever making us feel rushed, and set at the table when we arrived was a card with birthday messages from the staff! They even surprised him with a birthday dessert! I would definitely recommend Oscar's Steakhouse for a special occasion, a date night, or even just a great steak dinner. We had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to our next visit!

**5 Stars - Exceptional Service and Unforgettable Dining Experience** I recently dined at Izakaya Tora, and I have to say, this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. A huge part of that was due to Aika, who single-handedly elevated the entire evening. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us warmly and made us feel instantly at home. Despite being the only one hosting, serving, and waiting on tables, she managed to deliver an outstanding level of service with grace and efficiency. What really stood out was Aika's deep knowledge of the menu and her excellent recommendations. We were a bit overwhelmed by the variety of options, but Aika expertly guided us through, suggesting some incredible dishes that we might have otherwise overlooked. Her recommendations were spot on, and each dish that came out was even better than the last. We started with the **Tempura Mushroom Fries**--perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. They were a fantastic start and set the tone for the rest of the meal. Next, we tried the **Osaka Papas Bravas**, which offered a delicious twist on the classic dish with a perfect balance of spice and flavor. During my search for the best Izakaya spots in Las Vegas, I discovered Izakaya Tora and it exceeded my expectations. Conveniently located near the Virgin Hotel where I was staying, I arrived at 6 PM and was pleased to find plenty of seating available. I chose a seat at the bar counter in front of the chef, SJ, and embarked on a culinary adventure. For dinner, I indulged in a delightful selection of dishes including chicken thigh, chicken skin, pork belly, sirloin cap, king mushrooms, Hamachi tail, chicken oyster, and pork belly fennel. To complement my meal, I started with the Sawtelle canned sake and later switched to the Katana sake. The service, led by the friendly Allie, was impeccable. I particularly enjoyed conversing with Chef SJ, whose passion for his craft truly shone through. Dining at Izakaya Tora felt like a nostalgic journey back to Tokyo, reminiscent of the izakayas I often frequented there. Although the experience was outstanding, I would appreciate a slightly expanded menu. Including options like chicken liver and asparagus would enhance the variety. Overall, Izakaya Tora has secured a place in my top five restaurants in Las Vegas and I eagerly look forward to my next visit. read more

The staff's friendliness was a highlight, with excellent service that made the visit more enjoyable. On the culinary front, the dishes were quite delicious, showcasing the quality of their cuisine. However, the pricing seemed disproportionate, especially for the skewers. At $7 per skewer, which were unfortunately served a bit cold, it felt steep. This aspect of the meal did not match the otherwise pleasant experience. The menu pricing is my main critique. While the food is good, Izakaya Tora could benefit from rethinking its pricing strategy. Introducing bundles, like an 'all meats' package, might enhance value perception and attract more customers. In conclusion, while I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, the high prices were a downside. One of the best late night izakayas in town! Ive been to most of the izakayas here in Vegas and they all offer something unique and different, but Tora steps it up a notch with the quality of everything they do! Sushi, sake, japanese charcoal grill, I mean you can't go wrong with anything here. Mushroom Fries- 10/10 Negi Shio thigh- 10/10 Lamb chop lollipops- 9/10 (a little rare for me but Ill let my server know next time!) Musashi roll - 9/10 (loved the sashimi style roll!) Shoga-yaki Baby back ribs (CHEFS SPECIAL!)- 10/10!!! ( my fav of the night) Overall, I can't wait to come back, the staff are lovely, the specials are crazy inventive and super delicious. We had higher expectations. It wasn't horrible but also nothing stood out. The sushi was just okay and the rice was cold. The hand rolls weren't assembled and the nori was on the side making them hard to eat. The amaebi (shrimp) is normally one of my favorite dishes. The head wasn't cooked all the way through and it wasn't crunchy how it should be. We had to send the chicken skins back because they were also soggy without any flavor. The best thing we ordered was the potatoes dish and the beef skewers. On top of it being a sub-pare meal it was very expensive and that wasn't including any drinks or alcohol. Our server was very nice but it will be hard for me to recommend this place. read more
