We stopped in after a concert at Fenway for a sweet treat. Good service, clean store, and delicious frappe! There were so many good sounding sundaes and ice cream flavors on the menu but I wanted something easy to walk with so I got a Nutella Frappe. They offered a different base than vanilla but I stuck with the classic. Would have it again!

Well, I wanted to love you cause you came highly recommended while in Boston . But what can I say either I'm a fool for door dashing ice cream when it's cold out less then a mile from our Inn, or do I blame the DoorDasher who made several stops before delivering our freaking ice cream that was a melted mess of yuck time we got it? Or possibly the brownie Sundae had melted before the DoorDasher even picked it up? Disappointing for sure.

I came here with my friend last night and the two young men at the counter were very helpful. We both asked for samples and they were glad to give them to us, which is not something you see in a lot of ice cream places! The place was quiet and there were lots of fun pieces of art on the walls. The peanut butter cookies and cream ice cream was so delicious. I love JP Licks and can't wait to come back!

JP Licks on Boylston Street was straight! We came here about an hour before close & the workers were attentive + made our order with the quickness. We ordered our usual two smoothies, one strawberry & one raspberry. The smoothies are made with yogurt AND I'VE LITERALLY BEEN OBSESSED. it just hits every time, I don't know... I will forever get their smoothies! Parking: It can be kind of tough finding parking in this area. If the spots right in front aren't open, you may luck out finding a spot on Mass Ave. For us, we parked on Newbury St and walked over.

Right next door to down under yoga, so we got a nice post class smoothie!!! Razz and strawberry smoothies, always creamy, yogurt, smooth blended drink. Space has tables and seating to hang out and have ice cream, drinks and hang with new friends or just in and out. Quick and easy, parking is usually tough for the area but i suppose the college Boston area has many folks whom are commuting and walking anyways. There are paid lots and newbury street/ Boylston street meters if you are lucky to find a spot down couple of blocks though!

Delicious ice cream, friendly service, clean shop, great location! Always a good experience at any JP Licks location!

Just a quick stop in to grab some of Bostons best hot chocolate! Cake here right after checking out the Yelp elite experience at Union park pizza on Newbury street. Service was quick and friendly! Hot chocolate was delicious as always- hubs and just shared one - it was gone so fast lol! Good music and ambiance. They have a couch seating on one wall now which makes it cozy. Cute place - we've been here several times and always get the hot chocolate. Definitely recommend!

I am a huge fan! The vegan flavors are so good especially the Madagascar vanilla. They also let you try any flavors you might like. It is super "cutseyyyy" for date night or after dinner. Line moves quick. They have outdoor seating but the tables were kind of dirty so I would stay inside. 10/10!!

This ice cream chain is a reliable dessert spot in Boston. Every time I've been here the service is awesome and the flavors are super tasty. I opted for a scoop of pistachio in a cup and I loved it! The consistency was great and it was the perfect amount to indulge and satisfy my sweet tooth. The inside was very clean and quiet when I went in the evening. This could make for a good spot to have a tasty treat with a friend or small group.

J.P. Licks is a classic option for ice cream in Boston, and I love the variety of flavors they always have. The frozen yogurt I've had is good flavor-wise, but the consistency is a bit freezer burnt so not my favorite. But, the apple pie flavor in the fall is a MUST! Most recently, I had the butterscotch oatmeal cookie batter. It was delicious, jam packed with mix-ins. The butterscotch chips were good, but I think having them rippled would have enhanced the butterscotch. If I'm not feeling any of the seasonal flavors, my go-to is usually peanut butter cookies and cream. Everyone is very polite, and there's ample seating inside and outside. It's always great!

Oh how I enjoy JP Licks! Every time I stop by here I'm never disappointed... it's a solid choice for ice cream. Will it blow your socks off? Probably not, but it's consistent and will leave you satisfied. I ordered a small sundae with two scoops, which included two toppings and complimentary cherries and whipped cream. For the price of about $8, this was a bit steep, but it was enough to share between me and my partner. I also really love how much seating this place has, it's a comfy spot to hang out even when the weather is cold.

I liked this place it wasn't busy and there was a good selection on the menu. There was outdoor seating and indoor, the service was good and the scoops weren't too small. Clean on the inside as well.

Nutella frappe with vanilla ice cream

So classic, there are people here even when it's so cold you can't feel your hands. There's something for everyone and there's hot chocolate so you can get something to warm up as well.

Decent ice cream. It's no Toscanini's, but it'll do when they're closed. Maple butter is notable.

I went with two scoops, black raspberry and brownie chocolate, and the brownie was killer. Rich, chocolatey, and totally worth standing outside in 30 degree weather to eat it. I devoured it without hesitation. There were so many great flavor options, and my friends all found something they loved too. It felt like one of those classic, must-stop dessert spots. Cold, delicious, and just the right amount of chaotic fun... it was wicked good.

While I do usually prefer my ice cream order to my boyfriends....i do have to admit that I liked his more. Don't skip the waffle cone like I did. Definitely a great stop to add to your day in boston! We came for dinner and I got the turkey and brie sandwich. The brie melted in your mouth and paired perfectly with the crunchy vegetables and turkey in the sandwich. There was also a layer of fruit jam which created a salty sweet combination that was delicious. I also shared a warm custard bread pudding for dessert with a friend (be aware that you have to order this 30 minutes ahead as they bake it fresh!) which was so yummy - it was quite sweet but gooey and a lovely mixture of caramel flavors that paired nicely with the vanilla gelato. Prices are on the higher side but align with the attention that is paid to each plate! They have a super cute bookstore next to the cafe which is fun to browse. The set-up is within three stories of a house and the decor/design inside is very cozy - definitely worth checking out. On the third floor children's section there is a toy train that periodically circles the top of the room which is a fun touch too!

The wonderful waitress, Sabrina, saved this from being a one star review. First the food. You pay $15 on the kids menu for literally a scrambled egg on an unbuttered piece of toast. Nothing else on the plate. The $24 breakfast is two scrambled eggs on white toast with a few cherry tomorrows on top and a side of small meatball-looking turkey sausages. I was shocked, but since I was with my child, I didn't want to say a thing. There is absolutely NOTHING on this menu worth the cost or experience. Also, they do not pour the tea and if you ask for milk (typically served with dark teas) the waiter gives you impatient side-eye. The cafe has everything, EVERYTHING which could really make it a spectacular experience, and I can say that I will never go again or recommend. Get a muffin and coffee/tea at Tatte or Flour Bakery and skip this cafe and go straight to the book store. The bookstore is a joy.
