Extremely disappointed with my order. I ordered 2 shrimp crunch rolls and there was no crunch, instead I received california rolls with shrimp on top. The California roll was more like a crab roll, it was missing the cucumber and had a thin sliver of avocado. I'm not a sushi chef but those were definitely not California rolls. I paid extra for shrimp on a different roll and that was also made incorrectly, all that was inside my roll was crab. Basically, go here if you want to have crab roll. I have really been craving sushi since everything closed due to the virus, but the usual sushi place I go to isn't currently doing AYCE and their a la carte is too expensive in comparison to AYCE. Well yesterday was my birthday and since most places are open for dine in, we did. Inside was full, totally fine ate outside, it was great weather anyways. The waitress brought us menus and asked for our drink orders and were quick. Good variety on menu as my sister doesn't eat seafood and I'm slowly getting my grandma into sushi. My sister ordered a chicken bowl which was a good size for $6.49. My grandma ordered a 1/2 & 1/2 plate that was super huge for only $8.49!! Half the price of the other place I would go to and with much more meat and rice! I ordered salmon sashimi $6.99, a hot night roll $7.99 and I think "gold dragon" roll $4.99 since it was the Monday special: (whatever the Monday special was). My sister enjoyed her food and said she liked it better than wanna grill and my grandma was so amazed and how much cheaper it was than waba grill as well! My rolls and sashimi were awesome! Loved the gold dragon the best! Service was okay, had to wait awhile for someone to come back after our food was dropped off. My refill of water was room temp, would have preferred ice water. Feel like ice water to refill is standard, but next time I'll just ask for ice. Overall the food is definitely worth it! My family and I will definitely come back because we love a good deal! This is a great sushi place, especially for the price. My friend and I split four rolls: las vegas roll, philly roll, fried california, and mild monkey. They were all really tasty and the portions were large. The price is great, I really couldn't ask for more based on the price they charge. Some criticisms: the seaweed in the philly roll was just a bit rough, and it seemed like a majority of the specialty rolls were fried or baked, which was kinda disappointing. I had three rolls delivered yesterday and in the delivery bag there weren't any chopsticks! If you're in the mood for well-priced, creative rolls, I suggest coming here. After my and Ken's favorite inauthentic sushi place closed down, we had been searching for another place where we can get our calorie bomb fix. He thinks we've found it with J Sushi, but to me, the rolls aren't as good as the other place we liked. So first things first, parking is super easy as it's not a super busy plaza but the place, like most sushi restaurants is pretty small. Service was nice and attentive, not much to say there. Now on to the food, they serve a variety of rolls, bento boxes, desserts and appetizers, typical of your run of the mill sushi place. Their rolls are loaded with extras, and if you're in the mood for cheap, inauthentic sushi rolls, this is seriously the place. Their prices are super fair for the amount of food that you get. The fish wasn't too bad, but it's kind of hard to really taste the quality when all the rolls we ordered were covered in some sort of sauce, deep fried or surrounded by imitation crab. They have a few special rolls that I'm assuming they change out every once in a while. The rolls were pretty good, the only issue I had was that some of them were loaded with sauce and it sort of killed the taste of it because all I tasted was sauce. So these were the rolls we got: Paradise: They advertise this as not having rice but honestly they stuff it with imitation crab so it's not like it's really any better for you. The presentation was good but I didn't particularly enjoy this roll just because there was so much imitation crab. Every bite was just imitation crab with a little bit of fish, the texture was just overly mushy and the cucumber skin was not helping the texture of it at all either. Cheesy Golden Dragon: Out of all the rolls, I liked this one the least, just because it was so saucy. The texture was super mushy too because of the cream cheese, and I wasn't a fan of the mango. I felt like there was too much going on in this roll and it didn't make for a good flavor or texture. Power of the Sea: We liked this one, I think because the shrimp tempura helped it from being overly mushy in texture like the other rolls. It had a good flavor but it was super saucy and also loaded with ingredients too, however in this case the flavors and ingredients worked well with each other. Albacore Delight: Out of all the rolls we ordered, I would have to say this was the best one, although I may be biased because I love albacore. The roll was really good, loaded of course with ingredients, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, albacore and fried onions with some salad underneath. The fried onions was a nice touch, although the salad underneath, looked nice presentation wise. I think I'm okay to say that nobody likes warm spring mix, and the spring mix ended up getting quite warm underneath the freshly fried onions. All in all, we will probably be back, whether to dine in or do a take out. The place is A-okay in my book and I hope they stick around. The food is pretty good, albeit not very authentic but that's okay, sometimes you're not feeling like paying over $100 for omakase and that's quite alright, just like this place. read more

After about a month in quarantine, my partner and I were really craving sushi and decided to have some for takeout. We found out about this place on yelp and they had great reviews. They have never disappointed us, and we've been ordering from them at least a few times a month since May.When we have a sushi craving this is our one and only option now. My favorite roll so far has been the paradise roll but I also love the monkey rolls (iron and mild)! My partner loves power of the sea and their salmon rolls and anything with spicy tuna. Craving sushi but I don't have a regular spot in Orange so I thought I'd try this out based on yelp reviews. It's a small place and it's in a very popular shopping center. Parking can be very difficult especially during lunch time. I ordered the black dragon roll online and went to pick it up during my lunch. It was ready on time and the eel tasted fresh. I'd order from here again. Everyone working seemed very friendly and I was greeted right when I walked in. I would say that this sushi spot is slightly more expensive than others but not by much at all. Mainly just the appetizers and sides that I thought were pricey. My coworker and I always go here during our lunch. I recommend the crusty philly roll, miso soup, and the heart attack ( jalapeños). My only complaint is the size of the lemon they put in the water. It can't be any smaller. Anyways we have always had fast service out of all the times we went either at 12pm or 12:30pm there was only one time it was so full on a Friday at 12pm. We got the Hot Night, Golden Dragon, spicy BBQ, and Power of the Sea along with yellowtail sashimi. DONT get the bbq.... it tastes straight up like American bbq sauce. For some reason, it sounded good but when I took a bite, I instantly regretted. It was like they just slathered bbq sauce on the sushi... and rice with bbq sauce is not that great of a mix. The hot night and power of the sea were my favorite! I'd go again just for these two. The golden dragon was okay, it could've been presented better but like I said, for the price, it's decently tasty. The yellowtail sashimi was pretty good too. It tasted fresh and made me want more. Come here for the specials! $4.29 for a pretty sizeable sushi roll. Quick and attentive service and the wait staff gave good recommendations. Had the Garlic Albacore Roll and their special spicy tuna roll of the day. Both were good, but definitely leaned heavily on the sauces added for flavor. Difficult to appreciate fish quality at this place. Buyer beware: The Iron Monkey- What is supposed to be a baked roll with scallops and crawfish turned it to be a dish that was overly doused and dripping with mayo. Overall it was a bit hard to palate and all the mayo was super overkill, truthfully almost nauseating. Would recommend going with another baked roll or asking for less sauce on top. Would come back here for lunch especially if craving the saucy type of sushi rolls. Would skip if feeling more authentic sushi and higher quality fish for sushi/sashimi.
