Choc chip pancakes! Crispy bacon, eggs, strawberries, pancakes, coffee. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing cinnamon French toast with bacon. As ordered. They will accommodate you. Just ask nicely. Mothers 2026 going to have a few of the orchestra here to play music for the day! Could be busy so plan ahead wise. Mother love in the air!

I haven't been here since it was Carrow's so I thought I would try Jack's and I have to say that it is honestly overlooked. Definitely better and a step above your Denny's while also providing great value and amazingly friendly service. The menu is great, fun, and has all the breakfast and lunch options you'd want. I got the country style breakfast with a country fried steak which was delicious and the portions were massive. Just your typical American diner with some Reno flair. A good quiet breakfast spot for locals.

We arrived as a group of 11 and were quickly seated in the back, which I really appreciated--it felt like we had a private space to ourselves. Since not everyone had arrived yet, they thoughtfully brought out waters and had everything ready for us--water, utensils, and menus all set up. Once the entire family was there, the staff promptly took our orders and were always quick to refill our coffee and drinks when they ran low. I especially loved that they offered flavored creamers--those little touches truly brighten my day! I ordered the pork chops and eggs, and they were absolutely delicious. I didn't manage to snap photos of everyone's plates, just mine--bummer! But I have to say, most of us chose the pork chops and eggs. They happily accommodated our multiple separate checks, and although they added an 18% gratuity to each, we didn't mind at all. The service was outstanding, and if I ever find myself back in Reno, this will definitely be my go-to spot for breakfast!

First time in Jack's Coffee Shop today. I've always drove past there thinking, hmm -- I wonder what their food is like? I gave it four stars. Here's why. The servers were friendly, the coffee kept coming, the food was really delicious. I had the Carne Asada breakfast and Fritzie W. had a California Eggs Benedict. I have to hand it to them, the Carne was flavorful! Their homefries served with the meal, basically a delicious scalloped potato were good, piping hot, with a combination of crisp and tender pieces. Two detractors for the kitchen at the time however were one, they didn't add the cheese to the eggs as requested. After flagging down the waitress we had her to remove the upcharge, and second I didn't get the flour tortillas that were said to be served with the meal. It took them a bit to get them out. The waitress we later discovered substituted them for the scones we asked for on the side. We ended up paying a little extra for them. I wish we were given that explanation upfront before the order was submitted. The only other thing that would've made the experience better is just being checked on by our waitress a bit more. Places like this can however get busy, especially in mornings and early afternoons, I get it. I generally exercise a bit more understanding; but it's feedback for them and something you should consider if you visit. All in all, a great spot if you're wanting to try something different on this side of town. A comparable restaurant in Sparks shares their same vibe where the menu is mostly Mexican themed breakfast items and a few American staples for lunch like sandwiches and burgers. This place could be a great go to spot though for a quick bite that doesn't break the bank. It's reasonable priced in a nice spacious restaurant with a moderate to less moderate foot traffic clientele with people of all ages enjoying a wonderful meal. Check them out!

I was here for Breakfast at about 8:00 am, on a Great Balloon Races Saturday. The parking lot was full and I was thinking we would have to wait, but we were seated right away. Unfortunately, the service never really took off after that. It took a bit for our server to take our order for drinks and after a reasonable waiting period, I had to wave her down after she finished cleaning the table next to us, so she could take our order. The food came within a reasonable amount of time and she did check on us once, but then she didn't come back for a while. I had to wave her down again, so I could get the check. She was very nice and she seemed to be doing her best. I honestly think they just needed more staff. The food was Ok. My daughter had the Nutella Crepe Combo. She liked what she got. I got the French Toast and although it was good, it wasn't great. The ambiance also fell flat for me. It didn't feel very cozy and think more effort is needed with the Mexican decorations. There was also a sign that was hanging with string that was way to low. The Bus Boy ran into it and I had to duck to go under it. Just not the cozy breakfast I was hoping for with the early wake-up call this morning.

Right when we got there they treated us fast and were very friendly. It was 12 of us so it was a big party. They got our drinks and food fast and we didn't even waited to long to get our delicious food. Now we know where to come for breakfast or lunch when we come to Reno. We highly recommend this place. My favorite was the pork chops and their potatoes omg so good and crispy too. Those crepes were a lot of us favorite as well.

My family and I stopped by with our relative from out of town! The six of us met and was given a couple of tables! Great service, wonderful food! I only got a picture of my omelet, which I was a little disappointed as it wasn't really an omelet, just scrambled eggs put on vegetables! The restaurant looked nice

    Michelle K.

Totally worth every penny! I got the sausage and eggs with home fries and gravy on the side. Gravy was super yummy. Sausage patty was homemade and flavor was delicious. The buttermilk biscuits was homemade and was one of the best I have had in a LONG time. Light, flakey, huge, and perfect in my book. Scrambled eggs were perfect to me and they are not runny. So if you like them cooked "French-style" scrambled, don't get it scrambled here. The home fries was good and not greasy. Coffee was good too. Not watered down. :) It gets busy here but they are great at taking care of the customers. I would LOVE to go back here again.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! You have earned a few new fans today.

Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

Brunch is all day on Sundays however they do have a lunch menu starting at 12pm, so we ordered from each menu. The ahi nachos were great, thick pieces of tuna and a great sauce drizzled over. When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

Pine State hails from Oregon originally, and the space feels like Portland or NorCal transported to Nevada. Cool, hip and funky. I was excited to have a chance to try the Veggie Reggie, being a vegetarian, biscuits and gravy a usually off limits for me. This one features a vegan breakfast patty, soy bacon, and Tillamook cheddar topped with shiitake mushroom gravy - so it was on! The Reggie came out quickly and looked amazing! Huge and oh-so decadent. I got there right at opening and I think the staff were still getting into the swing of the day, because my gravy was pretty cold, which was a disappointment - and probably muted the flavor a bit. I also appreciated the early am fine cup of coffee.
