Jeff's Table is so fun - hidden in the back of a small liquor store, they offered a variety of sandwiches with unique combinations. I wish I could have tried all of them, but sadly I only have one stomach. Since the name of the place is Jeff's Table, I had to get the Jeff's Special which is a Reuben sandwich. I would say it was on the saltier side than I normally would have liked, but it was still good enough for me to devour everything. My boyfriend ordered the Yuzu Kosho Chicken salad, which was super light and refreshing and it was a good choice to order with the Jeff's Special. I'm so ready to try the Hainan-style Chicken Salad Sandwich, which was my runner up choice. I think another thing I liked about my experience at Jeff's Table was that I was able to buy drinks and chips directly from the liquor store, and there was a lot of choices. Finally got to try their new menu and it did not disappoint! My sister & I got one hot & one fresh sandwich to split with a side of chonky garlic dill pickles. Sandwiches: The Jubano - there's an option to make it spicy so of course we went with it! I love the added pastrami to the classic Cubano sandwich. Inventive Jewish & Cuban influence, hence the name. Yuzu Kosho Chicken Sandwich- amazing & fresh flavors from the Kosho & bitter citrus notes from the yuzu. I was surprised to find thinly sliced Yuzu between the layers of chicken. The chicken was tender and had an interesting texture to it. At first, I thought it was undercooked but looking at the menu it said it was "shredded slow-cooked citrus brined". It makes total sense because the method of cooking & citrus has tenderized the chicken giving a non-chewy,rubbery texture that chicken usually has. This place is also part of a liquor store that had really cool grab & go non-alcoholic drinks (CBD, adaptogens, teas, coffee) along with chips to complete your meal. Even though, it says they are closed due to Covid on yelp, they are open. Just one of many frustrating things about my experience with Jeff's Table. You have to order online and create a ChowNow account. I spent about 10 minutes trying to create one but it said it didn't like my email/password combination. This was under create not login. I tried about 10 different ways. I tried calling Jeff's Table but the liquor store said they don't accept calls. So I logged in through FB even though I didn't want to. Finally I was able to order! I ordered the Dirty Girl because I just had to... and it sounded incredible. I picked up my bag at a table in the liquor store and went to the car to eat. The sandwich really is small. It's about the width of a thumb. And there's barely any turkey as noted in previous reviews. The flavor is there, though. It's good... like really good. But at $17 with tax and tip, and the fact that it's so small, really does color the experience. I know they put a lot of effort into the sandwich, but wow, put some more turkey in. Or charge a buck or two more if they must. I'd rather eat a satisfying $20 sandwich (which is also crazy) than have this. Jeff's Summer Veg Sandwich is my favorite sandwich I've ever had. I said it last year; now that it's back this year: I've confirmed it. I'm a huge fan of sandwiches, there's a lot of good ones. In Los Angeles, there's so many places to get a sando and have it really be great. But the tomato forward Summer Veg is just on such a high level. It's perfect to me. The other sandwiches are also top notch. The HBO is awesome for something meatier, the two cold chicken sandwiches are both great, the jubano is an awesome time. Everything here rocks. Amazing place and seriously amazing sandwiches here! They have wagyu pastrami $20 bucks (limited time only) and man it's on a different level. Good flavor and cheesy and probably one of the best pastrami i had in los angeles. Going to be hard to beat this one. Also the wasabi tobiko potato salad was good. All around great place! No issues getting in and out. I ordered through the chownow app and only waited a couple of minutes while they prepared my meal. The app is the only way to place orders. They also have all kinds of hard to find craft beers and other drinks. I hardly ever go to this part of los angeles BUT this place for that pastrami wagyu is well worth it! Excellently crafted sandwiches with some paying a bit of homage to Angelino favorites too. Service is takeaway only out of a corner liquor store, online ordering is your best method of grabbing a tasty sandwich. Priced to impress, sandwiches are adaquately sized unless your expectations are from old school deli portions. The Yuzu Roast Beef is a good start for your experience. Personally, I wish the flavors were bolder, but the subtleness is still appealing. I wish they would have an option for a horseradish with more kick. The Turkey Sanwich is hearty and can be shared. There is a fine line where thick cuts of turkey can dried out and their sandwich walks the line well. I wasn't so keen on their fusion of turkey and Hainan flavors, but maybe I am a traditionalist. To be honest, the thing that first caught my attention about this place in the before times was when I saw they had a matzo ball soup with ramen noodles. Unfortunately, that didn't survive the pandemic, but I still wanted to try this deli. We ordered lunch online and picked it up from here. They don't have their own storefront, but rather are in a liquor store. The liquor store is on the corner and pretty easy to miss if you're driving by. The put your food out on a table at the front of the store when it's ready. Our order was packed and ready to go before I arrived. These sandwiches were really delicious. Continuing my pastrami quest, I went with the Reuben. It wasn't one of those comically huge deli sandwiches, but it was still a good size. The sandwich was so good. Their pastrami has a good smoky, peppery flavor. The only criticism I have was that the bread was toasted too hard. My boyfriend ordered the Yuzu Turkey Avocado - an interesting twist on your normal turkey avocado sandwich. For me, there was a bit too much citrus flavor but my boyfriend loved it. The sides were tasty too! I got the thai macaroni salad, and my friends got the wasabi tobiko potato salad. Both of them have quite a kick. We were not expecting it to be spicy! I tried this spot for the first time last week while i was thrifting in the area. I found the dirty baby to be underwhelming but man i enjoyed the toasted challah bread they used. My favorite of the two was the yuzu kosho chicken sandwich, it was super refreshing. The thinly cut lemon added that extra flavor that i found really unique and it was yummy! Ordered on the app and the man at the counter said someone will bring it out if we're eating outside. Well we waited 20 minutes and we just went inside to see if our order happened to be ready. Our food was placed on the take out table. Not sure how long it was there for.....we ordered some $7 pickles and the yuzu kosho turkey sandwich. These pickles were so disappointing!! It was literally a small container (looked like one small pickle). First off, not worth the price and also it was so bland. I posted a picture of you wanna see the portion. And the sandwich sounded promising....and it was good for the first few bites. But it became too rich and it's was too mushy. I couldn't taste the yuzu and there was hardly any turkey. After much agonizing, I decided to try to Jubano as I wanted to taste the pastrami. I ordered it spicy and it definitely delivered! The cheese was melty, meat very flavorful, and the mustard added the perfect kick. I also ordered the Jeff's Special for my friend, who enjoyed it. Unfortunately, by the time she got her sandwich the inside of the bread was a little soggy, which detracted from the experience, so it's best to try to eat these asap. You could tell form the quality of ingredients and unique flavor combinations, alot of time and effort was put into putting out a top notch sandwich. Sandwiches we tired were the Hainan Turkey Salad (my favorite) Reuben, and Roast Beef but they all had a twist like the miso encrusted Roast Beef or the garlic/chili crisp added to the Turkey Salad. Each sando is around $15 which is completely reasonable for something this tasty and this well executed. Fresh ingredients and really good bread all wrapped up deli style so these are perfect to go. Oh and if you love pickles, you've got to order a side of pickles. It's a $1 and you get these super crisp chunks of cucumber with dill. The taste is sharp, tangy and refreshing. My friend and I were able to grab one of the three tables outside so it feels like more of a takeout place, but dining in is doable. It's in the back of a liquor store which gives the whole thing a great vibe. We got a chance to meet Jeff and he's a rad dude too! Please go and support this spot. read more

But thankfully I didn't get yelled and and was kindly told that I would have to order online and pick up my food from the table inside once it's ready.
